eggs would be fine, bacon is just disgusting (salt and fat---2 things I can totally do without).....never was a fan of pork in any form.

Mmm, steak sounds really good right now. Too bad it is uber expensive and I have to worry about getting my car fixed first... Which wouldn't start this morning. Awesomeness.

I am going to make a gazpacho for tonight, they are really good in hot weather. Storms are headed this way, hope they miss us as they are saying some may have 70 mph winds.

yakisoba...yummmy...steak was gooood... had some new potatoes with lemon butter on them (yes I know how to cook and I LIKE to cook too....as my husband and our weights will attest to).
rr hope you are ok....I did get some of the rain to go a bit farther south and hit parts of ca today....will work on that good rain storm for ca. and good news.....they are going to come out and look at my cable tomorrow---seems that when they changed their accounting system (gave new account numbers to folks) they messed up the scheduling program, so they could not schedule stuff until they figured out they had messed up the program, so 24 days have gone by since this happened, needlesstosay, I have a free month of cable coming to me (IF they can fix it) sigh and sigh

Pizza day at work! Except I can't go get it so someone else will have to. Car is in the shop getting fixed. Don't know what the problem is, dad thinks it is the starter, I think it might be spark plug related. But I also drove 160 miles on 4.4 gallons of gas and my car does NOT get anywhere close to 40 mpg... So who knows.

good news ...the cable guyS came out (yes 2 of them) and yes the problem was indeed outside not in my unit (which I told them over a month ago, but alas why would a large cable company listen to users????) now I have cable again (though I am still waiting---its not raining so it might still fizzle during the next storm)....now we just need to fix the sound which got messed up somehow over the last month of trying to trouble shoot this ....
and hubby has to work late (yes actual work, only time they can take down servers is when no one is there--and gee, no one actually WORKS on fridays anyways----)...so on my own for dinner, I'm thinking tortellini....spinach and cheese with a nice havarti cheese sauce ..... but first this rat has had a busy day NAP TIME!!!!

Well the storms were really bad in our area last night but managed to go all around our town. Went to the eye doctor today and found out I have cataracts in both eyes, fun fun.
Going out for Chinese tonight and a couple of stiff Scorpion Bowls. |

No applesauce for me.
Glad they fixed your cable cosy! My car got fixed. Apparently it was a bad starter. Oh well, whatever, it's fixed.  We are suppose to have sunny skies for the next week or so here, which is a nice change from rain every other day. |
