Being an American and completely oblivious of other countries education due to our educators here feeling that our system is superior to every other countries, I haven't the slightest what the 5GCSE is. So what are they? Are they like a standardized test where it determines what college you can get into and stuff?

Sorry to say, but I am not impressed with US college education at all. And yes, I have a European Master's degree.

GCSE stands for "General Certificate of Secondary Education" and 5 is really the er... "Standard" - ofcourse, it is best to include English and Maths (Think they're involved with most, if not all future courses to be honest), and I currently have English and Maths, my ALAN (Adult Literacy/Adult Numeracy) tests which go for 3 GCSE's, and I'm doing an 8 day course that grants me 2 GCSE's, a first aid certificate and pulls me off Key Skills when I move into college. Basically Key Skills is something you usually have to partake in, but it's more or less "Do you have a brain?", but this way I get a little more time from that and more time to myself. My other tests actually begin in May, so there's my ICT which I should get a qualification for since it's all coursework, then my History, Geography, Core and Additional Sciences.
Short answer: Yup.

Cool, thanks for explaining that Tyla.
I'm not a huge fan of our education system at the college level, but at the lower levels it is better. Teachers there actually teach! Shocking.

Teachers at my school are pretty ugh to me - on the road to improvement but I guess now I've grown up a bit and accept that as much as I can criticise, it's more than likely harder work than I once taken it for. Getting involved with the class, sparking a discussion, being less restricting on learning styles is slowly moving into play.
In any case, I am playing with the Steel Drums band and my school band, all as drummer - apparently throughout the intervals of this fair on the 8th May with the Steel Drums. Sounds exhausting, but I really can't wait (Despite the badly organised band practice - we haven't played together once yet...), because it's good for my record, it's good for experience and... the rest of it. I really hope that the drums I'm working with aren't going to be all damaged like the ones I'm playing currently are though, the school kits' toms are damaged to the point they don't sound anywhere near like they should. ><

Steel drum bands are cool to listen too. Lots of neat sounds they make by just hitting different parts of the drum. Very neat.
Didn't you already have an XBox and you sold it to your brother or something ET?
I'm okay with him growing up tbh.

What happened to your ps3? Not that you can't have both, but you've already sold the xbox once out of blind rage.

So, got the results from the hospital, apparently, nothing is wrong with me, so the doctors have given up on me, they blame it on my overweight (though i had same shít when i was skinny).
So, i got loads of pain, and because hospital can't find anything, they give up, awesome.

Refuse to pay them til they find whats wrong. And then go smoke some pot. (There's always go to another country til you find a doctor that actually knows what he's doing.)

sorry to hear that azzer....I gave up on the regular medical community long ago (say 1988 or so)...since if they cant figure something out within a tiny time span it then must all be in your head. Doctors really no longer take the time to actually figure anything out that isnt easy as the flu, gallstones or whatever the popular disease is this year.
Try holistic medicine, acupuncture or one of the eastern medicines, they will find the answer (or at least give you relief).....
really I now only go to my gp when I have already gotten my diagnosis on my own--and then only if it needs meds that I cant get over the counter. They are pretty useless otherwise.
(if you have time...do some more research on your own, you are more likely to find the answers on the internet than paying another doctor!)

Same story here. I was actually misdiagnosed twice and in both cases I came up with the correct diagnosis by reading on the internet... The first time I had cancer and the second time I had chronic Lyme disease. It took me over a year to get the Lyme diagnosed and all that time I was going to a lot of doctors and hospitals without coming up with anything. And even if they diagnose you, you have to be on top of it and research it to make sure they are correct.

Unlucky, we have free hospitals over here, so i pay them through my tax >-<
And yes, would love a doctor like house, atleast he gets results
Cosy, i don't do alternative medicine, for the reason that it does not work (i've tried it all), last resort has actually been the doctors. but meh.
Well, Tharg, i been to 4 different doctors, all blamed it on my being a bit to fat, i then tried to explain that it is not because i'm fat, and that it could be my scar tissue (got a scar across my entire stomach), it could be cancer, and other things, but they do not listen.
When i can afford it, i'm going on a private hospital, to get some real answers, not just the crap from bad doctors.
