bassoon....I picked up the piano by ear (all my older siblings played so I HAD to). Yes woodwinds are all pretty similar--the fingerings, the tough part is the double reeds like oboe and bassoon----which also has more alternate fingerings than regular ones!
Cant play brass--dont have the lips for it (though hubby let me 'play' his tuba once, did pretty good for a wind player). never learned the guitar.
Kat--not trying to make you look bad.....really.
When you spend as much time in college as I did you will look like the jack of all trades too (and be just as unemployable as I am as well).

If so then the timing came at a very strange time because there was an influx of new users/spammers in the OTA.

Piano is pretty easy to pick up by ear. I know my brother and I when we were younger used to figure out how to play songs we liked on the piano just by listening.

Reading music isn't as hard as you think tbh.

No, its not hard. But I wouldn't have done it if I hadn't gone to classes. I wanted to play drums, but they start you out with keyboards and other mallet instruments so you'll have a greater understanding of music.

Yeah, Tyla, it's all good. As long as you're having fun with it. That's the only reason to play. If you're doing it for the wrong reasons, you won't stick with it. Find what you enjoy playing, whatever instrument that may be, and go with that. And that wasn't meant as a jab at you. But I tell people I'm a drummer and they automatically subtract 30 points from what they perceive my IQ to be.
