Looks really anime.
Try learning some shading. That's how I made my pics look life like. One art book that really helped me out in middle school was "Drawing Cutting Edge Comics" by Christopher Hart. Later I picked up the second volume, "Drawing Cutting Edge Anatomy" once I got the basic forms down.

Ya look into shading. I was never any good at it but it really helps bring them to life.
Doing pretty good. How are you doing Azzer?
Well just got back from the game. Opposing team took the lead with 0.9 seconds left to go in the game, 75-73. BUUUTTTT they didn't guard the in-bounds pass and one of our guys hit a 80 foot shot as time expired to win the game! IT WAS AWESOME!

Ya can't help you there. I have a 360 just like most of my friends. I don't think any of my friends except for 1 or 2 have a PS3...
Well suppose to have 2 classes today BUT my second class just got canceled soooo I only have one class today from 9-10:15.

Hey Check this out Tyla, so cute.
I saw this guy's work first at concept art, now found more of his works here. some has .swf to show you the steps he took to render the pictures. for instant second row first pic and second last picture, some has link to youtube with voice explanation how he does the painting and what program he uses. thought you might be interested
also if you see this rough tutorial here, your avatar is at stage 2 roughly. if you work on it more it would become better!
anyway, i am always fascinated by people who can paint really well and hate them too.

I'll check it out, but Im a pretty hasty learner so knowing me I'll end up sketching other people's work and get around my own idea of things anyway.
Also, I have the wierdest work experience job ever. I'll just post a screenshot.
Edit: Sorry it's too small, but I need good communication skills (lol), enthusiasm and confidence in something I've not even done before... Does my school even know my personality?

Its really just based on style most western comic book artist have the "ancient greek god" bodies, while most anime/magna are very flat and do not go into detail shading. As long as its your own, but have a similar style to another person's work its all good.
What job are you trying apply for?

I didn't apply for it, the school did. You choose 3 job types, (I chose Media, Motors and Construction), and the place/job is pretty much chosen for you.

So it is basically like a survey to find out what your future job may be?

Surveys usually don't have 1 question I believe. It's basically to get you into the work enviroment. Considering I'm on the second-to-last year of my school (unless I move onto college), it makes quite a bit of sense.

Interesting... I was presented a chance to go study in England for 2 weeks in January. We would have gotten to tour the school system there and I think it would have been extremely interesting. Unfortunately, as I said earlier I'm on tuition remission, and we didn't not put down that I would study abroad... therefore no dice on going to England. Too bad Tyla, cause I might of helped you finish your bike.

Missed this.
The "thing" I've drawn was spawned from within my mind, but there are a few parts that are from an artist whose design style I like. When I sketch off other peoples' art it's just for practice considering drawing from the mind isn't the easiest thing to do for me, and I'd prefer to do a more cartoony style as opposed to a more... realistic style before I move onto more detailed things.

Well I've got another bike that just needs a new inner tube anyway, considering that the other isn't rusted too much at all. Just the chain.

Whoa cool, thx for the last link, pumpkin. Im not really good with painting with PS, I'd rather have acrylics and fine brush.
Today I just did one of the hardest exercises ever. Its called dragon flags; invented by Bruce Lee. I could only do 5 , this is so much better than doing endless crunches.
