I've taken tons of breaks from the game. Just can't play it for long times, get bored after a while and go play other games. Then weeks or months later I return to Guild Wars and some fun again doing missions and dungeons.

Stopped playing when I stopped moderating. Just logged into LA one day and thought, "aargh - I just can't do this any more."

Always swore I'd play til the bitter end

really snoggy---I think you had some RL issues that are much more important than a game--and that would be why you stopped....

(hope mrs snoggy is doing well bytheway)....

so I think you will be back--when things improve (and hope for that real soon, if not sooner!!!)

The downward spiral started when they removed Hero Battles. It was the last thing I loved doing in Guild Wars. I still wish they would bring the format back because I loved the strategy of it and the simple fact that it was one man vs one man. You don't need to blame some other jackass (but the NPC's glitching) for your loss but yourself.

After they removed hero battles I did do some speed clearing in doa but that died out eventually. Everyone from Scars Meadows [SMS] the pve guild I was in stopped playing and (I think) are waiting to come back for Guild Wars 2. I hope some of us return for the release because SMS was revolutionary when it came to releasing farming and team builds for elite areas when there were none. Hell Racthoh's spider farm inspired me and I eventually joined a pve guild as a fan boy.

Ahh nostalgia. Guild Wars was a great game and I miss the glory days.
