The Direction of GW2
I know this is like bringing meat to a wolf den, but does anyone else seem to have strong feelings on the direction (positive or negative) GW2 has gone?
I ask this because of the recently revealed Engineer, but the question is much more broad and comprehensive than that situation.
Ill start off with my opinion:
While GW2 looks like it will probably be a fun game, it's definitely far removed from GW1 to the point where I really doubt I'll play it. GW1 was a very niche game that offered a far different experience from other games available at the time. I feel that while the GW2 experience may be an enjoyable one, there are at least several games that will be out around the time it is released that will offer experiences somewhat similar.
And on a very personal note, I'm just ticked that my GW1 class is gone, yes I realize it's a bit childish but I've become attached and expected GW2 to make GW1 players feel "at home," but I suppose the Dervish following was considered small enough that Anet could say "screw you," as opposed to other classes from GW1.

The more I'm looking into GW2, the more I'm beginning to dislike it. To me I can't see a major difference between the pve environment of gw2 and one of those numerous free online mmorgs out there. I liked gw1 because of its "instanced" play and seeing gw2 has little and no party (AI ex. heros, henchies). Also, the potion thing added to gw2 is making it more and more like those trashy mmorgs.
In general, its becoming a wow2 with better graphics >.<
But that's just my general opinion and I'm probably wrong..

Its bogus and more headache than anything. Look at the nintendo ds3d its dropped in price already. They are even showing 4d movies... serious you get a card to smell... are you kidding me?
3d is cool idea but until its a totally free from glasses etc.. its a money maker no more.

3D is over-rated. Why can't they focus more on other things like graphics and such?

All the videos I've been watching have only made me want the game more, which isn't exactly surprising. The beta looks fantastic, can't wait until release.

Email recieved regarding GW2 beta!
Just got an email saying they are going to send out invites shortly!
"In just over 48 hours, 1 million players signed up for a chance to participate in upcoming Guild Wars 2 beta events. Although we wish we could invite everyone who signed up to playtest the beta, we do have a limited number of slots available for each event and not everyone will be able to play. We know you're very eager for us to send out beta invitations, and we will be sending these confirmations out shortly.
In the meantime, we've prepared a little thank you for all those who applied - a brand new video that features never-before-seen in-game footage.
Just head over to the Guild Wars 2 Facebook page and "Like" us to watch the video! Thanks for your support, and we'll see you in game!"

For some reason getting a video to tease me about probably not getting into beta was harsh on this Monday morning.
