My favorites, they may be a bit different than ones you have listed because I lived in japan for a few years and found a few that arent on tv here (some can be downloaded as bit torrents but most have yet to make it here).
My favorites are: Tsubasa Fushugi Yugi Escaflowne Inu Yasha (have seen the whole series) The Snow Queen Ah my Goddess! Ouran Host Club Ghost Sweeper (have one character named for this one) Card Captor Sakura DN Angel Sorcerer Hunters Bleach (would really like to get the last 70 eps) Hinotori Kasumin Yakitate! and any thing from Ghibli some older ones: Maison Ikkoku Ranma 1/2 Legend of the Galatic Heroes Record of Lodoss Wars well thats the ones I can remember ....have TONS of anime (husband likes it more than I do). |

ugh, yes I remember some of them as well.....and yes we have the collectors series from 'robotech' on vhs even. Captain Harlock was 1978, didnt watch it back then (since it wasnt me who was into anime), but I could have if my brothers would have allowed me tv time (they are all older than me by more than a decade so I had no say in tv matters).
Astro boy is now on after inu yasha, at least I can say that I never saw it when it was first run! (so I am not THAT old). black and whites, geesh. |

Cowboy Bebop Serial Experiment Lain Now and Then, Here and There Naussicaa Most anime, like most TV shows are bad. A friend of mine made me watch Elfen Lied, we later burnt the DVDs and felt a bit better after that. I did watch Paranoia Agent, that was pretty good, but most weeaboo's dont watch anything good really. |

Basically anything from Key is good:
Air Clannad Kanon Mostly what I see people naming are main stream shonen aimed for little ten year old children. Stuff like Dragon Ball is terrible. Battles are exaggerated and it takes a whole good five episodes for the fighters to get a scratch on their left thumb. And after all that, it turns out that they're not at their full power level and takes two more episodes to charge up fully before they take three more episodes to have a half assed fight, and then finally they fight seriously. Fireballs can level planets, but somehow not each other even though they were on it. Too much bad things to name so I'm going to cut it short. Good anime titles you would want to check out are: Azumanga Daioh Code Geass Cowboy Bebop Darker Than Black Death Note D.Gray-man Dokuro-chan Elfen Lied Ergo Proxy Full Metal Panic Genshiken Ghost Hunt Gintama Great Teacher Onizuka Gundam (The Old Series, New ones like wing, seed, and 00 are good, but not that great) Gunslinger Girl Hayate no Gotoku Higurashi no Naku Koro ni Honey & Clover Kimi Ga Nozomu Eien Kodomo no Jikan Kyou no Go no ni Le Portrait de Petite Cossette Lovely Complex Lucky Star Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha Manabi Straight Midori no Hibi Mushishi Onegai Teacher/Twins (Teacher wasn't that good, but Twins was great) Ouran High School Host Club Paranoia Agent Rec Rozen Maiden Samurai Champloo Sayonara Zetsubo Sensei School Days School Rumble Serial Experiments Lain Shakugan no Shana Shinigami no Ballad Shuffle Sky Girls sola Solty Rei Texhnolyze The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya Ulitmate Girls Witch Hunter Robin Welcome to The NHK Yakitate Japan (Up until near the ending where it seems too rushed) Zero no Tsukaima The above list contains no hentai so don't get your hopes up, but there is ecchi though. I'm a nihongaku/otaku (you can say its sad, but my life is dedicated to anime), so I know what I'm talking about when I say Naruto, One Piece, Full Metal Alchemist, Digimon, Pokemon, Sakura, InuYasha, Yu-Gi-Oh, Bleach, and BeyBlades are bad.
