yeah, rain would be nice...lots of ...ah, pollutants

in the air ...making my nose go crazy (only when I go outside....staying indoors for the next few days...dont like the look of the temps they are predicting).

watched the fireworks on tv last night...saw the macy's from new york, they spent waaay too much time showing the crowds and the musicians for me (want to see the FIREWORKS not the people watching them

)....also saw the wgn navy pier ones...again, too much time showing chicago and the people not enough time on the actual fireworks....best ones were the boston pops ...LOADS of fireworks and nice long set of them as well...even did over head views...really nice. Bad thing (about all of them) the horrible choices in music, though I am still a bit confused as to why we need to have music to watch fireworks by (and no, they were not choreographed to them --that would have been a good use)...cant we just enjoy the music the fireworks themselves make?

Rain would help to wash away some of that crude... So hopefully, rain soon. We will see.

I watched them a bit last night on TV. Got a bit annoyed for the same reasons as you. I'm here to watch the fireworks, not the crowd, the band, etc. Sheesh...

was quite a show last night....tons of rain and lots of thunder (hubby slept thru it, go figure).....plants look happier now (well sorta...not so happy with the temps).

mold count is really high today....probably a good day to just stay inside and play gw

Was it ever. Lots of rain and thunder. Both the wife and I were woke up by it. But we definitely needed the rain. More possible later tonight and tomorrow. Here is to hoping! The one problem was that it rained and stormed during my normal run time... So I had to wait and go out after it stopped. Boy did it get muggy fast... I was exhausted by the end of my run... And super super sweaty....

Yup I saw that allergens were high today... Figures. Oh well. I'll stay inside now and watch the Euro semi's.

good day to take more than one shower then and taking showers after exercise is always the best...nice and relaxing (and with the hot weather...really nice)....but yeah, not good outside exercise weather at all.
The rain was all but over by the time I went to bed this morning, though I liked the cloudiness--makes it not so bright when I go to bed.

I took a shower as soon as I got back. A nice, cold shower. Even with it on cold it still felt a bit warm. Of course I drained a liter of water before my shower as well to rehydrate. A bit too muggy for my liking but it still worked out ok. I didn't die, so yay!

It has been nice and sunny since about 9:30 today. Now they are calling for less of a chance of rain tomorrow. Guess we will see.

yeah, I used to do that everyday when I got home from work in japan (in the late spring to late fall)....was so humid there and during the summer (yes they go to school then--just not in august) it was almost deadly. (was just the opposite in the winter since they had no heat in the school and no insulation in the walls of most homes--mine included).
I do not miss that at all.

Cold showers are the best after being outside in hot, muggy weather. Though jumping in a pool is also just as good...

Not windy here, just hot. Maybe more rain tonight. We will see...

looks pretty gloomy out ...but no rain. no pool either (nor did I have that option in japan). though we used to have tennis courts here...since no one used them they took them down...now we have a big empty space...for all the dumb geese to nest on

(cant we just send the canada geese back?)

Was sunny earlier this morning when I went for my walk to catch some pokemon. Now it is getting overcast and they are calling for rain this afternoon.

No tennis courts here, wish we did though cause I would use them.

hubby suggested we take up tennis...but since neither of us can play, his idea was more for us to run around chasing the balls (ok I know how to play, but since I have no depth perception it makes things like tennis very ...difficult). I said we should just toss the balls at each other in a sort of dodge ball idea, but again--we have the problem that we dont have any tennis balls either! So my final idea was just to run around, but he said that would be no fun :/

too hot to run around outside now, glad my mailbox is inside.....and yes the gloomy is being replaced with sunny here as well....really do have to get myself a weather person job so I can be wrong and still have a job

My wife and I have talked about it, but the problem is, I'm good at it and she isn't. It isn't horribly much fun when I have to dink the ball back over then go chase it when she hits it into the parking lot...

I just got back from my run. Just a short one today though. I'll have to go get the mail later, but right now I'm going to cool off and relax a bit.

Welp, good old Comcast just sent me an email saying I am in a trial area! Oh boy! A trial area? YA! A trial on limiting our data... FFS... I know get 1 TB a month of data. If I go over, I get to pay overage charges. Freaking money grab is all it is... As if they don't get enough money by being a monopoly here...I would love to have Google Fiber...

you can choose someone else for your internet...there are choices! They keep wanting me to add my dsl to them, I laugh at them; the phone company keeps wanting me to add my cable to them...I laugh even harder at them (and when they send me mail with 'you are a valued wireless customer' I laugh the hardest since I dont have ANY wireless anything--mouse included!).
I despise that company, ...so dont get me started

The only other choices here are AT&T or Satellite. AT&T would force me to rent their equipment and cost more while being slower. I at least have my own stuff for Comcast. And Satellite? Nah. Not happening. Guess I could always go back to dial up... I guess I could just get Verizon internet, but I don't think they are any better... Sigh. While yes, there are choices, they are not good choices...

there are choices that are not 'national' choices...you just need to look harder. My dsl is not anyone that 99% of the population has even heard of...they are pretty dang small (everytime I have to contact them I always get my agent--I tell him that customer 5 is calling

) and it uses my phone lines, no extra things had to be done to get them hooked up (other than contacting covad---)....so check around and see if you are not seeing some of the smaller companies that offer dsl (we had to search for ours).

where is that rain they were talking about....oh the radar says: some went north of us and the rest went south, missing us completely...ah well, guess I will water my herbs tomorrow.

I had dsl at my first apartment. It actually worked fairly well, though it was a lot slower than what I have now. Our problem is we have TV and internet bundled, so they go hand in hand. Gets us a reduced price on both. I'm too addicted to live sports to not have cable TV...

We got a ton of rain here. In a very short time though. So I'm not sure how much that will help but we will see.

I actually looked into just doing one or the other but it was more expensive to do just TV or just internet... Sadly that meant bundling made the most sense...

We had some fog this morning, but I really didn't see any on my run, so I don't know...

yep, fog; lots of it last night (grabbed a quick subway for dinner)....got mugged by the air just walking out our front door, and it was already pretty dang cool (just cant believe I was used to this 10 years ago when I lived in japan!...dang I am old). well at least I dont have to water the herbs today as they got enough of a watering yesterday (they still look moist).

Crazy how quickly fog can appear and how thick it can be. Glad it wasn't too bad here! Though we could definitely use some more rain, that isn't forecasted for anytime in the near future.
