Malice had a green name, came back as a mod, left , came back...left and I think the last time Jenn just decided to leave him be black....but seems he is now green too....but that was before my time

there are a few previous mods who are black instead of green--

just glad there are more folks posting, pwnd and I were getting a little too 'friendly'

here for a while. Need some more posting here! (we dont have as many 'rules' as the other OT!!!)

anyone who wants some cold temps, we will ship!

Malice and I both were off and on helping - and contributing - to the website. I think we stepped down but kept being questioned like we were mods by the masses. Every day I had messages asking me to do this and that when I didn't have the powah anymor. I asked Jenn to take away the green and I thought Malice did as well.

As for cold - nah

Finally got a bit chilly here but only in the 30's with a tiny bit of flurries. 50-60s during the day. It's livable

I've been to finland...it was colder (and snowier) here than there last year (I visited a friend near Helsinki)....we are looking at one of the coldest Februarys on record

and we havent been above (or near) freezing in 2 weeks

Just glad I dont live in Boston where they have had almost 100 inches of snow this year (and yes, more possibly on the way).

yes, we seem to have the higher post count people posting in our little thread

(pwnd doesnt post much outside of here so his post count hasnt changed too much in a long long time).

haha and here weve had probably warmest winter in years, been just below Freezing all time time, and only 20-30inches snow, tho in January we had few weeks usual the -30C tempatures we're used in here ;D

Yeah i searched users by post count too, Only Malice and Bacon missing from top 5! ;P

Cosy hit the nail on the head. I pretty much only post here so my post count goes no where. I'm way past the stage of caring if I have the most post or not. That was many moons ago!

We have a winter storm advisory for tonight... Could get 3-5 inches of snow. Woo... >.> Then more snow this weekend. Seriously snow, stop it. Go away...

yeah, they stopped counting OT posts a long time ago (Ventari's has given me quite a few posts as well as......), otherwise I think pwnd and I would be waaay up there in count.

Yeah, last year was strange, my Finnish Friend was unhappy that she wasnt able to go cross country skiing due to the lack of snow (I asked if she wanted me to ship her some since we had one of the snowiest winters on record last year).

I am over winter as well, totally ready for some spring like weather (and NOT rain!)....but alas--over the next week we arent supposed to get above freezing (we hope to make it TO freezing,

Yup cosy and I would be a lot further along if they kept counting them. But ya, they stopped counting them in like 2009 or something like that. It has been quiet sometime.

We are getting some snow here, though nothing is accumulating yet. But it is still early. Come on snow! Get me a snow day!

They are now calling for 4-6 inches of snow this weekend... Starting Saturday and going through Sunday. Woo... And it is going to be cold until Sunday. Then Sunday it is supposed to be in the low 30's... With more snow next week. I'm over this snow stuff...

more cold (already below 0 here)...and more snow...will this winter ever end? (I mean, jeez its almost march and we still have over a foot of snow on the ground and more coming this weekend!)
think even my car is over this weather--the abs light was on ...but when I got to my 2nd stop (and turned off the car)...when I turned it on to go home, it was off....think she is not happy either.

been watching farscape reruns...series got really strange after season 2.

Ya cars get tired of the cold, just like us. My car said it was -7 on my way in to work today. That doesn't measure the wind chill... Brrrrrr...

lol....yeah, they shut down dc when they got a dusting too (around here it has to be 8"+ for them to think about it or wind chills in the -20 and below range, though when I was in hs we had one of the worst winters on record --'82, record wind chills and we went to school, yes up hill both ways

)

had no reason to leave the house today (and hubby worked at home)...so no need to find out how cold it was outside (though they were saying -10 this morning!)

We used to go to school when the weather wasn't great as well. We rarely seemed to have snow days, but they seem to have more of them now. Which is kinda okay since I'm a teacher. So I still benefit from them!

Supposed to get snow tomorrow night through Sunday. Super exciting stuff...

yeah...well you missed some of the really good years...like the big snow of '69--dad was stuck downtown chicago for 3 days.
blizzard of '79 --we actually had snow days for that one!
record wind chills of '82 and again in '85....ah the cold old days....and nope, dont miss 'em one bit! (and yes, I was outside during both--no frostbite no warnings--still here and have all my parts)
didnt even get the big snow of '90 off--was student teaching and I WALKED to school (only about a mile in snow up to my mid-thigh, but yeah they had school even though I couldnt find my car under the drifts).
Last decade or so has been pretty dang mild compared to what I remember as a kid--was talking about that with one of my teachers in japan (he's about my age), and he remembers a LOT more snow too (while I was in japan we had 3 days of snow, only one of which stayed on the ground passed lunch time)....so weather has changed in the past 30 or so years, and I think we are going back into the cold/snowy trend (/sad panda)
