and more shame for the lack of sunscreen...so much shame for you today pwnd! (but I think you both will be wearing your shame on that one for a while--and remembering it even longer).

didnt get as hot here as they expected, which is fine by me, had to run a quick errand this afternoon and it was just hot, not HOT so not too bad.

supposed to get cooler the next bunch of days and they predict a cool august (and I will NOT shame them for that one!!!).

still working on my cold/cough...hubby has made it to the next stage (coughing so much you hurt things), I am happy to finally be able to sleep without coughing for 1/2 hour before hand (and not having to cough for as long upon waking up either), still have a 'lump in my throat' feeling and hope it leaves soon.

It was time for a new car. That one was starting to have some major problems and the repair bills were going to keep adding up. So sadly I had to part with it...

Mine will be fine. Unless I get a really bad sun burn it usually isn't a problem. My wife on the other hand will probably sadly suffer...

Yup definitely going to be cooler here. Which is nice, but that also means no real incentive to go use the pool... Oh well.

You need to get better soon!

Bummer... Sorry to hear that cosy.

I turned the A/C off when I got back from my run today. Been fairly nice. Though we did hit 82, which was a bit warm for no A/C but we managed.

I couldn't find a Camry with the same mileage, year, and options that I found in the Nissan. Wouldn't have minded another Camry but there just weren't any out there for the price.

wonderfully beautiful day again today! though our a/c kicked on (since we live on the 3rd floor and heat rises), still was nice to have the doors open for a bit this morning.

still have this cold, had to do a few errands today (couldnt avoid it) and found a few others also recovering, and my hubby's dentist called and canceled his appointment (he was gong to do the same ) because his assistants were BOTH out with it!

I wouldnt mind it so much if it werent for the sore throat and the constant coughing (especially bad when trying to get some sleep

), and the lack of a voice. 2 weeks and counting now

Ya, hopefully by that point we will both have jobs and be a bit more financially secure. We can hope at least. Of course hopefully that is 8-10 years down the line.

It was a nice day yesterday. High of 80, had the windows open all day which was great.

Really sounds like something is going around by you. Don't let it come here! Send it elsewhere, like Russia or something.

I really hope you feel better soon, because I know being sick is no fun at all...

lol, dont think anyone wants it.....finally broke down and am taking the antibiotics (makes me really lethargic...zzzz)....am feeling better, and getting some sleep (much needed!), and now I am just hoarse instead of totally voiceless.

I hear ya there!

not coughing as much so I think I am on the correct path at least! Got an email from my sister-in-law saying that my brother had the same cold (ok, UTI--upper respiratory track infection since colds usually only last 5-10 days), and he had a cough for quite some time after everything else was gone

I can smell some things again...not that I really want to smell some of them---

Glad to hear the coughing is less. Now keep on that path and you should be well in the next 2-60 days! Not good to hear that your brother had the cough for a while after, but if that is all he had it is at least a bit more manageable.

There are plenty of things I don't want to smell...

I dont think I can handle coughing like this for 2 more months--my teeth hurt and the overbite I used to have is gone since I have been pushing my teeth out when I cough (kinda weird to have them touch, they never have in the past----)....and I dont think I can go without my voice for 2 more months either.

need a nap. (got cheap pizza for dinner---one of the pizza places has 1/2 price pizza on mondays if you pick up before 5pm....nice )

it was pretty good.

got hit by a rock on my windshield today--was near my dealer so I stopped in to see if they could fix it, found out 'we dont do windshields'

its part of my car, why would you NOT do that part? well have someone coming tomorrow to replace it (seems my crack is waaay too big for just a repair), oh well, guess I really didnt need to go where I was planning on anyways today (my home phone died and I was out trying to find a replacement, so now I have no phone, guess its not too bad since I still have no voice to talk on it

I had that happen a lot last year on my drive home from work. Rocks coming up and chipping my windshield. Luckily they were just chips and I could repair them myself. Cracks obviously are a much bigger deal...

It does seem to do that. Definitely know how you feel on that front.

had it repaired yesterday, not as expensive as I thought it would be, but still---

decided to let my fingers to the work on the new phone, ordered one online, we shall see if its better than the very few I saw the other day or not.

seems the rain is staying farther south, we have had a nice few days.

Did they repair it or replace it? I have no idea how much a new windshield would cost or if they could even repair a crack.

You can find some good deals online for new phones, though other times you find nothing. Carriers love to sell you a phone for $100 and boost how it should be $500 or whatever. Still a $100 is a lot for a phone...

We might get some rain tomorrow but it has been nice and clear here as well.

replaced, the crack was too big to repair it.

I want a cheap ole type phone, no caller id, no 2nd line, just a plain ole phone. Finally found one on the home depot website (I have a few other things it must have)....says it should ship out soon.....and only $20 (including shipping and tax).
It was the 'expensive' phone that died, the phone I have from grad school (yes 30 years old) STILL works (the line is very scratchy so we dont use it), the newer one just dies in the middle of talking (guess it thinks my phone calls are going too long

).....not exactly what you want when you are on the phone with the doctor or such.

no rain for today, possibly tomorrow.

Figured as much.

I kinda want to go back to where I only paid 10 bucks a month. And most of that was for the texting. Otherwise it was cheap. Now I'm paying $40 a month for data and such and if my wife and I get our own plan, the primary is like 80-90 bucks a month... Really wish they still had plans that didn't have data.

60% chance of rain tomorrow. So ya. Might not be a bad thing though.

Wait, what? You still have a LANDLINE? Whattttt? I thought those were extinct by this point. I have a cell but no landline. Which makes more sense for me since I need a phone to get a hold of people while I'm out and about. But that is me.

We got a little rain, but most of it seemed to have gone north and south of us.
