Ya I was glad I could get out and help in some way.

We had some snow earlier today, not a whole lot accumulated but it definitely was some snow.

I heard this morning that oil was down, so of course gas went up. Makes perfect sense.

I was out driving in the last part of it, made the roads a mess...now its just cold.
Hope to get my xmas lights up after thanksgiving (supposed to get a wee bit warmer next weekend).

Roads here were fine. Didn't get enough to mess with anything.

Wife says we need to buy some then found out how expensive they are. Guess we are getting some on Black Friday.

can understand that....buy one or two a year and after a few years you will have a nice collection. I think my rope light collection has about 8 sets now (one of which is dead--no idea how/if you can replace bulbs in those). Though I had a nice collection of lights back in college in my dorm

I used to put up the single color ones for each holiday (orange for halloween, red for valentines day, green for st pattys etc) and then change them when the next holiday came around.....(hey I was an art major remember!

Ya that is how my parents got there collection. They just would buy a few and soon they had a nice collection of them.

Ya we started that last year. I'm not going to complain.

Spent yesterday cleaning and making cookies for today. Also went out and saw the new Thor movie. Pretty darn good actually. So ya. Picked my brother up and he spent the night here. Going to my folks today for Thanksgiving.

Thanksgiving was great yesterday. Family, food, and football. All very important F words to have on Thanksgiving. Today we have my grandparents 60th anniversary so more of the same! Hurray!

harry potter weekend...so I have something to watch whilest making food.
(yes I have them on dvd and yes seen then multiple times--thats the good thing about them I can listen and cook at the same time and still know whats going on!)

My wife does the same thing. Will rewatch the movies on TV just because they are on.

Mmm, turkey. Had my grandparents anniversary party yesterday. Got to see all of my extended family. Was a lot of fun to get to see them and catch up.

got my lights out and checked to see if they still work (string lights arent supposed to go bad, someone should inform mine about that)...

will be putting them up tomorrow, got my christmas card list out and the cards are bought--now just need to address them and need to get stamps

String lights can be annoying. Especially if you have the old ones where if one light doesn't light up, none of them do. Super annoying to find that one bulb...

Probably going to go get a tree next weekend once we figure out where to put it in here. We won't even be around for Christmas since we are going to her parents but oh well. Still need a tree.

Crazy that it is December. I'm sure it will go fast too.

got my lights up--some were being quite tempermental deciding if they wanted to work or not, must be a short somewhere in the line (and I have no idea even if you can replace rope lights individually since they are contained in a plastic tube).

hubby has to get around to xmas shopping soon (mine is, yes, done as always--though to be completely honest I only have 4 people to buy for besides him and I get them stuff during the year).

hope you had some good luck, have had tons of emails about cyber deals, just nothing I want to get right now (or need), so didnt even bother to look today.

knocked off some seriously needed sleep today, though I did get to the post office to get stamps for my cards.

Nothing. Darn nothing. No good deals this year. Was extremely disappointed by it. Amazon is supposed to be doing Cyber Week so maybe there will be better deals in the coming days. Either way pretty disappointed with it...

counting the days until break--thought that when you were done being a student that would end, huh?
think a cold is trying to catch me, woke up from my (short) nap with a sore throat,

got too much to do to be sick this week! (so yeah, that would be the most opportune time for one to find me

).

if I could have a wish for christmas this year (besides money), I would want a week in the doctor who tardis so I could get a week of rest and then come back only hours after I had left.
