yep...frost had it last monday (then it got warmer)....my herbs got hit pretty bad---though my thyme still is holding out (for what I am not sure)

It hasn't gotten much warmer in the morning. Though we have been getting back up to the mid-50's the past few days. Guess we will see how that holds up in the coming weeks.

World Series is going on right now. St. Louis now has a 2-1 advantage over the BoSoxs.

almost halloween now, cant believe this year has gone by so fast.

hey pwnd, got some questions for you----have you noticed with your students the 'abuse' of the english language? (more use of 'leet' speak etc). Have you noticed a decrease in their writing ability (pen to paper)? or does your school do everything with computers now so that you cant answer those questions? (does your school allow computers to be used in tests?)
just wondering how this new age of phones is going to wreak havoc on things like writing (penmanship), grammar and usage of the english language et.al.
(have any of the other teachers at your school said anything about this?)

Yup, Halloween is tomorrow. Then all of a sudden it is going to be November... Crazy.

Yes, they suck at the English language, though it isn't because they talk in leet speak or whatever. They just choose to use "slang" over proper English. Penmenship though I do see some of them going towards the texting language where they abbreviate everything. But it isn't quite as severe as you might think. Only a few do it on actual written papers, but I do see it more on worksheets.

Burnt my tongue this past Friday. Still hurts... Must have burnt the heck out of it...

ouch, have burnt the side of my mouth bunch of times, but dont think my tongue has ever gotten it before that badly, good luck with that.

Figured out I didn't burn my tongue. I'm having an allergic reaction to something in our new mouthwash... So I just have to wait it out sadly... (And yes I stopped using the mouthwash...)

been at the finales for halloween, mad king keeps picking me...(yes I am about the only one who DOESNT want him to pick me--you lose mad kings fan which nets gamer points -if you lose...and since I am uber bad at all the other gamer games, this is about the only way I have been getting gamer points!).

ah well...never had a chance to max it anyways.

Totally didn't do any of those. I am pretty much just done with GW and GW2. I'll hop on once in a blue moon to check presents but that is it.

yeah, some of those 'inactive' things still interact and cause reactions in some people...just gotta do your homework and find out what stuff doesnt agree with you and avoid it as best you can (I didnt avoid the celery this week and have been paying my price for it as well).

It's the first thing I have ever run into that has caused my mouth to react as such. Very weird.

Halloween was fun. Went to my folks and saw my nephews all dressed up and hyped up on candy. Was definitely a lot of fun.

What wasn't fun was coming back home and smacking the corner of my eye on my dresser. I have a nice cut and am probably working on a black eye... Thank goodness I have today off.

went to all but one of the mad king finales...didnt get called on again (I logged out and back in...dont know if that helped or not)....

so today I slept for 4 hours straight

and have my nap planned for this afternoon (workers on the roof permitting---they dont seem to TELL us when those guys are going to be doing stuff up there

....so my sleep was cut short).

What has happened to Trick or Treaters? Had 10 come calling last night. I guess last year, there was close to a hundred. I will just pass this huge bowl of sweets to the grandkids.

Had to make a trip to the country home earlier this week and brought our China cabinent and its contents home. Had a couple of items walk off up there and had to get our more valuable items before they walked off too.

What was to be 2 1/2 days of rain turned into 4 days. Our rain gauge, that measures up to 6", was overflowing. Next rain due in on Tuesday. Pretty sure we don't need it.

Ya they do. Luckily outside of the cut and redness, there is nothing else to show for it. No black eye or anything, thankfully.

Ya a much needed day off as well. Last week was a long week and then with Halloween this week, definitely needed. I'll go 3 more weeks before the next day off but I'm okay with that. Because the next day off is followed by Thanksgiving.

Dunno about trick or treaters, living in an apartment means we don't get any. Plus we weren't home so hard to know for sure.

We had a lot of rain here as well. Yesterday and today are nice out though. Mid-50's and sunny.
