sometimes they use usps, and the rest of the time is some locales shipping company (se hablez no engrlish)...so not a fan here.
I do not see taxes as inevitable--we can try and try harder to make sure no new (and extra) taxes are added--resistance is NOT futile!

enjoyed the beautiful weather today--not too hot, a bit of a breeze and only partly cloudy!

now if only the mold count would drop too...been great weather, had the balcony door open most of the last 2 days and the a/c only came on when we made dinner (the thermostat is on the otherside of the wall the oven is on--STUPID!!).
have the most stupid of inspections again today--the heat detector inspection, really need to get a new place to live!

Yup weather has been nice and cool. Supposed to randomly heat up the next couple days before cooling back down though. 75 today, 85 tomorrow, 91 on Thursday, then 75 on Friday... Why can't we just stay in the 70's?

We never have inspections here. Ever.

up until a few years ago when the ASSosciation put its nose where it didnt belong--neither did we....and we shouldnt have to either as the buildings we live in should have been grandfathered OUT of it...but NOOOO stupid idiots managed to ----

well, not going there again, only gets my stress level up and makes me angry for the rest of the day (and I really do want to get some sleep--havent been to bed yet).

70's are nice, 80's arent too bad, 60's are ok....50 and below-- a wee bit too cool.

have a wonderful headache from the damg alarm going off every few minutes.

Ya it was a nice day today. Tomorrow should be pretty nice too. Thursday, maybe not so much, and Friday if it rains it will be nice.

Found out today that my brother is going to be coming home in a month. He wasn't supposed to be home until Christmas but our old college is flying him back to do a masters class. I guess that means he is a guest lecturer or something. Pretty awesome since he is only 2 years removed from college.

didnt get much sleep as right after they finished, the stupid lawn sprayers came--and my whole apartment smelled of chemicals--now I understand why I had the headache!

just glad its not a/c weather, will keep the electric bill down a bit.

A/C weather is possible for today and a definite for tomorrow, but back to windows on Friday.

Yup, glad it is working. Course I haven't had time to check it since yesterday morning. Wife's cousin stayed with us last night. So after I went to the volleyball game I came home and grilled, then helped clean up, got ready for today, and went to bed. Then didn't get on this morning since she was in the other room. So ya.

Nice and cool today. Had some storms roll through last night finally.

making shrimp with rice for dinner--one of the japanese recipes I learned while, ok, from a cookbook but I did have one like it while I lived there

Sounds like here a month ago or so. We would get rain but no cooling. Very sad.

Thank goodness it is the weekend. This past week was long for some reason...

We had homemade pizza last night. Very yummy.

It was very yummy.

I was woken up at 2:30am by my wife. Apparently I rolled over and sighed when she came in and laid down. So that meant that apparently I was awake and irritated that she woke me. Only I wasn't awake. I was still out. I never heard her come in. I did wake up when she got out of bed, rather noisily, to go start the dishwasher. Then we ended up talking for 30 minutes, most of it was me trying to assure her that I was not awake. Then I woke up at 7:30 and have been up since then. No nap for me.

After that we had some more fun. Nephews were going to be at my parents place, so we were going to go over there. Went out to the car to leave and we hear racoons in the dumpster. Wife went over to the office to tell them so they could get them out and I went to get her car. Got in, went to start it and nothing. Lights came on but when I tried to start it the lights all dimmed and it wouldn't turn over. You could hear the starter trying but there wasn't enough juice. So we jumped her car with mine, got it started, took it to Autozone and got helped by captain apathetic. He definitely did not want to be helping me and told me that both the alternator and the battery were fine. Suggested it could be the starter and that it was getting hung up because the battery was too small... It is a Honda battery for the car... As in Honda but that battery in it. It is the right battery for the car. So who knows, it has started fine since this morning so I don't know what happened. Once we got to my parents we played with the nephews, dad and I put mud flaps on the car, and then we ate there. So it was a day full of fun. Glad to be home now.

hm...my toyota has a similar problem...but not quite. Occasionally, you can drive someplace, do your whatever, come back out, put the key in and turn it and..........NOTHING! no sound no lights no nothing, well after about 10 minutes or so it will start up with no hints that it had been dead a few minutes before. Problem being, it cant really be replicated, so no mechanic was able to figure out what it was until it died at the brake place--at which time the mechanic figured out it was some stupid sensor in the transmission--so if you jiggle the gear shift (or put it in neutral) it starts right up!
no, I wont go and get it fixed, since it has only happened a handful of times, and your captain apathetic seems to work at most garages. Just know how to deal with it when it happens so we just go with it as its a 97 and we are very happy it still runs as well as it does. (heck when I get to be as old--adjusted for car years vs human years--I hope to still have so few issues).

wow pwnd I think that is one of the longest posts you have made in ....years!

(and yeah, I often get on my hubby's case about stuff that happens while he is still asleep--welcome to marriage!)

Well it wasn't my Toyota, it was my wife's Honda. Which is pretty new to us. Lights came on like usual so I'm not really sure what was going on. So long as it doesn't happen again then I'll be happy.

Ya it took a lot of effort to make it that long. I went to bed afterwards because I was just too tired.

never had a problem with my honda like that (and I had mine for 15 years).

checked the weather for the week--supposed to be beautiful the whole week, no a/c, no rain, and no heat either!

Yup, car we just bought. And it is still having the same problem. Something seems to be draining the battery. Going to take in today or tomorrow depending on when we can get the appointment... Hoping it is just a bad battery and the guy at Autozone had no idea what he was talking about...

Supposed to be nice here as well.

do you have the interior light on? I know that when my car was older (past 12) that if someone lifted the outside door handle the interior light would come on (and stay on), that could drain a battery. (this would only happen if you didnt then open the door).

Nope no interior light on or anything. Just had the battery checked at Advance Auto Parts (they have a better one) and everything checked out. There was no drain on the battery when the car was off. So we are stumped. Have an appointment with the Honda dealer on Thursday for them to figure it out.
