yeah the star trek movie was a bit of a disappointment--was hoping for something other than wrath of khan 2,

what a beautiful day today...had the balcony door open (until the mowed the grass

and made my condo smell like gasoline!).....even the plants look happy! (watered them anyways--cant have them wilting again).

We have the windows and porch door open as well. Very nice day out.

So small rant here. We got our marriage license in today. So we decided to go to the Social Security Office here in town to start the name change process. She even filled out the form before hand. We figured they held DMV or post office hours, so we didn't check. Besides, it was 2:15 when we headed over... Turns out on Wednesdays they are only open 9-12... Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday they are open 9-3... Wtf... For real? They are open only 27 hours in a week? Why? And only during work hours? So if you work a 9-5 or 8-4 job, you are screwed unless you give up your lunch. Stupid stupid stupid...

sounds like my hubby's dentist....he only has hours 9-4, and doesnt work nights or weekends, he has to take off of work to go and see him (wont even go into their accounting practices).
I remember when I got my ssn name change---they spelled my name wrong

and I had to show them what they did wrong, took a bunch of time to get fixed (still have that ss card with the wrong name on it!)....still not quite sure how they messed up since it was TYPED out not hand written (had to have it that way on 2 forms before they would even consider doing the name change). Ah government, I think now you understand why things get done the way they get done.

Some times people make no sense. I would have left that dentist long ago then and went to a different dentist that had times that I could go too.

Geez I hope they don't spell her name wrong... Really just want to get the thing done with. Going tomorrow to try again... Hopefully it isn't a really long wait...

I refuse to use his dentist, hubby seems to like him (even though he has a new dental assistant every time he goes).

High turnover of employees... Hmmm... Either he doesn't pay well or he is terrible to work for.

Thanks. Hopefully it goes smoothly. We will see when we get there. I would prefer to get there between 10-10:30 so that we don't catch the lunch crowd. We will see what my wife "decides" though. As in when she is actually ready to go...

Didn't make it in until 2 of course. But we got it all taken care of. Wait wasn't too bad either. So that is taken care of.

Beautiful day? Depends on your perspective I guess. Has been raining since about 8am. Which is fine. I like the rain. Ran the last 2.25 miles in the ran. Loved it. So ya it is beautiful out because I like the rain.

Well I had noticed the other day that my nail on one of my toes was a bit discolored. There was a blister in front of the nail but I hadn't thought much of it. Noticed today that the nail looked worse so I pulled the blister in front apart. Turns out I have another blister underneath the nail. Lanced it and let the liquid drain. Thinking I'm going to have that nail fall off now since it is pretty loose. Oh well.

(mom talkin) keep it clean and if you can get some bandages on it--that would be good, and yes, get a new pair of shoes!

(it didnt hurt??? a double blister sounds quite painful)

Ya I have told my wife for a while now I need new shoes. She just saying we will talk about it... The woes of being a couple surviving on a teacher salary...

I think the trip to the er or complications would be more expensive than a little preventative new shoe buying. (unless you have reallllllllly good medical insurance!)

ER for a toenail? Nah. It will regrow. But if I don't get new shoes the problems could be worse. Like a broken ankle or something I guess. Or really bad knees, on top of the already bad knees that I have.

not for the broken nail, but from an infection---if the blister had another blister stuff could get in, and that could be bad. Hadnt even thought of the ankle or foot problems....

ah a wonderful day today...nice and cool (saw some peeps wearing COATS today--it was in the 60's--a coat? really????)

Wife is making me soak it each day in an epsom salt solution. I believe that is to keep infection away. Also putting neosporin on it and keeping a band-aid on it. Should help keep infection away.

I sat out on our porch today with the wife for 3-4 hours reading a book. Was in a hoodie and long pants since we were in the shade and the wind was blowing. But it was great.

Ya well according to her sister we have been living the domestic life for a while now lol. The day after we got engaged I called her on my way over to check if we needed to quarters for laundry. That day she decided we were domestic. Oh well.

Went out to eat last night with my parents and little sister. Was a lot of fun to go spend time with them. Also found out that I'm gonna have to go to their place in the coming weeks to help move all of the furniture (TV and Computer included) out of the family room and then help pull up the carpet down there.

lol Well I already do laundry, buy groceries, have car insurance payments, etc. Speaking of being domestic. The wife and I went out with another couple who are really good friends of ours. The guy and I went to Pacific Rim, the girls went to Monsters U. Then we all went out to dinner together. Was a great time.
