Well at least you aren't the only one who doesn't like the people that run the condos.

Ya lots of rain today. Went out to Olive Garden for lunch, then went and saw The Dark Knight Rises, then off to Khol's, and finally Old Navy before going back to the fiancee's apartment. We had a full day. o.O

wow that is a lot to do in one day.

we had lunch out, but everyone puts waaaaay tooo much salt on their foods now--its like eating a salt sandwich, and I am supposed to cut waaaay down on my sodium, makes it pretty dang hard to eat out anymore when salt is the first ingredient in most foods

(watching the food cable channels--those stupid chefs 'you didnt put enough salt' ..oy! would really LOVE to see what their blood pressure is, and really REALLY wonder if they DO have a good palate after years of eating salt on top of salt).

was never a fan of salt, and when it was removed from the table (parents had blood pressure issues) I never missed it--and really do not like most of my foods with it (some exceptions--pretzels, popcorn...). One of the good things about living in japan, they dont abuse salt--foods taste like they were meant to, and not like a salt-a-thon. (one of the main reasons I wont eat crab or lobster over here--tastes horrible with salt!)

so I took a very long nap (salt makes me very sluggish ) afterwards...I can always tell when I have been over my salt limit.....I have even tried to ask for my foods salt free (tell them I am on a sodium restricted diet--which I am), yet only 1/3 of the time do they listen

I really feel badly for those people who really do have to make sure to limit their sodium!

I don't do salt. Thanks to my kidney surgery I really can't have any "extra" salt. So I try to avoid places that cook their food in salt. >.>

Well had a meeting after school and found out I have another meeting Wednesday. Also have to watch these stupid "training" videos. 23 of them. Ohhhhh boy!

yeah salt is for PRESERVING food, not for adding flavor, not quite sure when that change happened.

Bummer... I'm usually up fairly early so I don't think roofers would bother me much. Not that there are any around here. Air in our school broke yesterday at noon. Weren't allowed to open the windows and no one had a fan. It got unbearably hot in the school yesterday... Hope it is fixed today.

oy, bring some eggs and see if you can cook them on the metal tables!

(when I was in school, I remember my jh didnt even HAVE windows--so if the a/c went down we would have fried!--ok, there were windows in the cafeteria...but didnt get to spend much time there).

hubby says they were on the roof again this morning, guess they were on the other half of the roof since I didnt hear them (yeah!!!)....and seeing as we are not allowed on our roof----wish they would inform us when and who seem to have the permissions to be on the roof.

Air was back today luckily. Thank goodness for that. Was just too hot yesterday to say the least.

well the hot weather is back. my sister called me and was talking to the company I got for her--seems it might work out this time.

cant believe its almost september already...though the 4th of july seems like months and months ago already---time sure has a strange way of passing.

Ya hot here too. Supposed to cool down as we are due for the rains from Hurricane Isaac tonight and this weekend. Though looking at radar, to me it looks like it will miss us to the West. Which wouldn't surprise me.

First 3 day weekend this weekend. Crazy.

yeah was watching the weather and it seems that some of the areas that were drought classified might be getting ALL the rain the wanted for the year---in one or two days!

It is pouring out. Which is awesome. Supposed to do this pretty much the rest of the day! Hurrah!

I had meatballs last night too! Meatballs and pasta left over from last week. Pretty good stuff.

I made mine fresh with ground sirloin and ground veal...some nice parmigiano reggiano cheese, herbs, onions and bread crumbs...in a semi-home made sauce (I used canned tomatoes

)....and a nice loaf of fresh bread (from panara

I made more than enough for two people---and its totally gone already! guess I know why hubby is on the heavy side too

I think sleep is the plan for today...some days are just made for sleeping

o.O Wow. Ya, we didn't make ours fresh when we first made them let alone this time! lol And we still have leftovers... But that isn't a bad thing.

Today was a day spent playing GW2 for the most part. Which is definitely a better game than I expected.

lol I haven't really played GW much at all but ya, I'll play GW2. It is new and thus still "exciting" for now.

And I do post over there in the Madness Incarnate (their OT).

Fiancee made seasoned chicken (in teryaki sauce, pretty good actually), a fruit salad, and some alfredo noodles. All very yummy.
