Ya they show Alf on the Hub around here. I don't watch it but it is on. Sometimes comes on after Batman: The Animated Series. I watch that.

Well the Constitution sailed for 17 minutes on it's own but because of light winds it was only able to do 2 or 3 knots.

Last ime they sailed in 1997 they were able to make 8 to 9 knots.

People are pretty bad at calling back it seems. Don't know why but they just are. Probably are procrastinators. Cuase that is what people are good at. Putting things off.

Do I get a hint of sarcasm here? I'd like to see how fast you move at 215 years of age. I wish I had this week off for vacation, temps in the low 80's in the day and mid 50's at night and no humidity. We are going to Vermont 2nd week of September, i hope it is just like this.

It's going into dry-dock for a major overhaul next year. Maybe they will outfit it with missiles instead of cannons.

so I have been doing a wee bit too much watching tv recently....and have been watching some hgtv programs...found one where they fix up houses and try to get the owners to stay or sell it...well, found I really (REALLY) liked one of the kitchen cabinets that was done on the show--however, after trying to contact the host (and her not answering my question but instead asking me where I lived--then informing me that its a company in canada--gee, wouldnt think that a show made in ontario would be using < gasp > local companies for their work /idiot....) wouldnt devulge this privilaged information....what exactly am I missing here? All I want is the stupid name of the company for gosh sake, not a secret recipe or to 'steal' clients (I am not an interior designer, have NO money to make any renovations--not that I can since I live in a stupid condo---)....

and yes, the company I have been waiting to call me back---STILL has not.

AND
went out for some groceries today...came back and the local tree service (se hable espanol) had parked INFRONT of my driveway!! (also infront of the fire hydrant)...I had to go around them, thru my neighbors driveways to get into mine....and then I informed them that parking in front of a fire hydrant is ILLEGAL ....they just looked at me, I said 'you have to move your truck and you are blocking my driveway'....hubby says to me when I relay this, that our car will probably be keyed or something tomorrow...so glad I live here some days.

I am going to find a large rock and someone tell me when its my turn to have a few good days.

Sorry to hear all that cosy. I'm not sure why the host wouldn't tell you the name of the company but you would think that the company could ship such things to the US no matter what. Not that you were going to buy some, but just to kind of think about it I guess. I hope that it turns around for you soon.

I did some more searching and think I have found the company name...however, its a 3 person operation and the name of the company is like a mall--not a single company.

and called the other that I was waiting to call me.....'oh its been sooo busy!'

and the person I need to talk to is, yes, out of the office ....

back to my rock.

oh these days just keep gettting better and better....
was playing gw and there was a pounding on my door (not the door buzzer)...my neighbor from down below me said there is a leak!! great, seems my utility room drain is backed up--and hubby has gone out for the night...and my car is on empty (and hubby has the gas card)....so after trying in stupidity to figure out what is clogging it (only water goes down it, really--its just the run off for the a/c and furnace)...finally gave in and went to the homedespot and got a pipe snake and some industrial drain cleaner....was able to auger out whatever it was--and it seems to be draining again...and had to put gas in the car with cash

bleh...need a much bigger rock it seems....

Wow sounds like you had an eventful night then. Kinda reminds me of the morning after I got engaged. Came over to my fiancee's apartment to find out water was running through the ceiling in her bathroom. That was "fun"...

oh yeah....'fun' had waaaaaaaaaaay too much of it thanks.

got the drain unclogged and am still watching it in case it decides to do it again..and my utility room is pretty neat now too, got to talk with the guy below me and match horror stories of the condo assssssses...yeah, I am not the only one who thinks they have things.....a bit wrong (to say the least).

rain and rain...and acorns oh my!
