That was strange to see. For me it has always been England then all of a sudden they go with Great Britain? Ok then. And I'm not surprised Beckham didn't get a spot. He isn't on top of his game anymore while Giggs, while not where he used to be, still is good enough to be playing in the EPL.

Getting my tires rotated and balanced today. Should be a "good time" not.

It's because it's the Olympics, pwnd.

In international football, we've always had the four individual sides; England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland. Those nations don't have an individual presence at the Olympics (it's always been Great Britain) - and there was worry that the teams might lose their status with FIFA if they united for this one event.

That is one reason I wish I had a tower instead of a laptop. Then I could update it. Next computer after this one will be a tower computer since I won't need the laptop to move around with. Just have it now because I go between apartments and houses (fiancee's, my parents, her parents, etc.) and need a laptop to stay in touch. Once I have a house, or even a apartment after I'm married, I will get a tower.

we have a few laptops and 2 desktops (neither is a 'tower'...mini is mini atx and hubbys is only 12x12x6)...we can travel with the laptops--though mine doesnt do much traveling anymore...hubby has a mini laptop that he uses for traveling purposes. I have no reason to carry a computer with me anywhere (no cell phone either)..just nothing quite that important that it cant wait until I get home.
since we built the desktops we could maximize the space--we even built the case for hubbys (mine we bought but its still very small--smaller than hubbys)....good thing about having an IT guy for a spouse

take out chinese for dinner since hubby still sore from dentist--egg drop soup is good for those who cant chew (and it tastes good too!)...and some really too spicy tofu!

No posts to OTA yesterday, cosy must be secretly watching the Olympics. We had 2-1/2" of rain yesterday in about 3 or 4 hours. We needed it but not as badly as some parts of the country.

Ya... please send the rain here. We are in a super drought. We actually got some rain Friday morning but it wasn't a whole lot. We are in dire need of rain but the meteorologists aren't calling for much rain between now and October...

yeah, got an email back from them saying they dont know why their rep didnt show up...

and have been trying to get in touch with some other people---I HATE voicemail, to me voice mail says "my time is much more important than yours, so I will call you back when I feel like it, maybe"....IF I had a dollar for everything someone said they would call me back (and didnt) I would have more money than bill gates!

Ya I'm not a big fan of voicemail either. Which is why I hate calling people. I usually never leave a message and just try back later at my convenience. But that is just me.

Welp for some reason my work email won't let me log in. Says my username and password don't match. Which is odd since I just used it yesterday. Makes me wonder if our tech guy screwed with the servers and erased my login or reset my password. Also haven't had my smart board put up in my room yet. He has only had all summer to do that. Sweet.

I thought it was too maybe. But I checked with a co-worker who said he though his was working. He said he got an email (albeit through his phone) about 2pm, which was well after I couldn't log in. And I figured if the server was down then I couldn't even get to the login page. It also could be that since we are getting new laptops this year that they had to reset my password because they put up my smart board and needed to get into my account. Of course if they had just asked for it I would have told them... I emailed the assistant tech person (she responds a lot faster) with another email account. Hopefully I'll get it sorted out today. If not I'm going in tomorrow anyways so I'll deal with it then. LOL Ask and thy shall receive! Right after I typed the last sentence I got an email from the assistant tech director. Turns out they DID reset passwords yesterday. I can get in now

I hope they call you back soon cosy.

Well went on my run this morning. Got about 1.83 miles and kinda twisted my ankle, but not bad at all. What was really bad was I strained an abdominal muscle when I did it. Ran the next 2 miles with a lot of pain when I would breathe. Wow that was not fun... Missed 4 miles by 0.03 miles... Had I not pulled/strained that muscle I would have gotten 4 miles. Oh well, will get it tomorrow.

good that you got back in...hubby had same kind of problem last week, but it was the network that was down (for everyone working from home)..he liked not having to work that day!

Ya I'm glad it is all sorted out. I had a co-worker (who usually knows stuff before I do) ask me what was wrong. Got to feel like I was on top of things for once!

Well we had the first shark attack on Cape Cod since 1936, a man was attacked by what they think was a small Great White. The man's leg were lacerated fairly bad but he should be okay. We have had a explosion of seals in the last few years and they sharks have been increasing each year.

I heard about that attack. Glad to hear he should be fine. You bring natural prey of a shark back then the sharks will go where the food is. Thus they are around Cape Cod now.
