not complaining about the weather : priceless!

our greek lamb naan combo turned out pretty good, though I ate too much and well, with my digestive problems I should know better.

pancakes---okonomiyaki is not what you think....its not a stack with butter and gross syrup on top...its a pancake like dish....meaning its a flat roundish concoction made with flour and eggs (amongst other things)...and cooked usually in a frying pan (or fried).

ihop----I would rather eat cardboard than eat pancakes made there.(though they are quite similar).

been to a few ihops---the quality seems to be the same, guess I just have a different standard when it comes to some foods (pancakes are easy to make, also easy to make incorrectly).

ALL syrup is yukky when you are borderline diabetic (eg: TOOOO much sugar can put you into a coma!)...its not the flavor, its the SUGAR content (same thing with marshmallows made with HF corn syrup--too much sugar as well as some other candies).

so I have to stay away from it, even having a little gives me a massive headache.

yeah....from that point sugar is sugar (though some kinds are worse--see HFCS and yes your body CAN tell its not regular old sugar).

I get to miss out on quite of a lot of stuff I used to like---like cake frosting, marshmallows (no peeps for me), cadbury eggs (the center is pure sugar)....etc
chocolate only bothers me if its really sweet and craappy chocolate (sorry fannie farmer and most chocolates you can buy at walmart)....high end chocolate doesnt have the same issues (and dark chocolate is best since its has less sugar than milk chocolate).

its a bummer for sure...but I can still have some things in tiny amounts.

you sound like my hubby...this weekend he was going over to his 2nd jobs boss' house to fix his computer (and yeah, not get paid for it)...but seems the boss wants him to basically create a new 'home office'--and he doesnt have all the equipment yet for it, so hubby is off the hook--THIS weekend

instead we might play 'jenga' with the stuff in the spare bedroom (but instead of trying to removed pieces--add some in lower spots)...more fun than my normal 'tetris' (move everything into one small spot and make it fit)....

A friend left me a with a bag full of candies 2 weeks ago. I had been such a long time since I ate candy that I no longer felt sugary happiness when eating it (I also forced myself to ate it because I hate to throw away food). I ate the last candy today.

I spent the whole morning cleaning my apartment because a friend was coming over and I always joke on how she lets her clothes hanging all over her place.

red...being in france has let your english slide a bit, and most candy will be fine if you leave it in a ziplock bag (or put it in the fridge)....chocolate only goes bad if you let it heat and cool repeatedly...so that candy could have been good for years....

Saturday was a very strange day, it was so windy that we had lake effect snow from Lake Ontario which is over 300 miles away. It was forty degrees and whiteout conditions one minute and sunny the next.

yes the weather has been pretty strange--and my hubby was asking if I thought that winter was over (it is almost march et.al..)....I said, you know we can get snow in march, april and have seen snow storms in MAY as well!....its aint over til the fat lady snowperson sings.

but once again...seeing it almost 50 at 6pm in february is NOT something I will complain about!

Well I have reformatted my sisters computer. Unfortunately it appears that the wireless card is dead as I still am getting very few packets sent or received... Dang it. ><

I actually got it all fixed up. Just took me a while.

I had ribs from On-Cor tonight. Omg... Awful... Just freaking awful. Never again will I get them... Darn you On-Cor, you ruined my dinner tonight even though you made my dinner wonderful the night before with chicken parmasgean(SP).
