Oh geez. Slayer is getting all technical. Yes, you are reply #1000, but you are POST #1001. Just sayin'.
I think it is almost time for bed. Still trying to kick this sore throat, though I think it is on its way out. My gf brought me some soup from Panera tonight and we watched The Big Bang Theory together. Ahhh, to be young and in love.

I think I'm gonna be sick....
(OH wait, I already am....)
bleh....not feeling any better---actually after yelling at my stupid spouse I have a hoarse sore throat to go along with my revived fever....nothing like arguing when you are already feeling ill to make you feel oh, so much better.
I need a vacation--far away from viral infections (so no people) and a nice soft bed (you'd think that for what we paid for our new bed 2 years ago it would be comfortable--NOT)...and daily doses of vitamins and chicken soup....and a computer with internet (so I can continue to use my bigass ban hammer ).

when i asked if the gerbil died that was a reference to the one powering your generator for the internet... not your dog silly old man. i suppose we could blame cosy since she went there first. since when does gerbil = dog?
well just got out of skool and plan to spend some time charr killin. especially since mom grounded me this weekend. so i have no one else to blame for my lack of outdoor activity than dear old mom. here is a big hint adults, if you really want to punish a child either; lock us in the bathroom (which i am shure is some kind of child abuse) for the weekend, call all our friends and tell them we have some gross disease -- then kick us out of the house for the weekend, or just beat the living hell out of us like grandma did to you! LOL
i really don't deserve to play computer games and facebook all weekend long.

cosy wasnt associating gerbil with dog---I was associating why rr hadnt been around (his pet DOG had been ill)...
yes, grounding just doesnt have the same meaning as it did when I was a kid---back then: no computers, no cell phones, heck we had ONE tv in the family room....now: computer in every room (yes have seen them in the toilet too), cell phones-I am about the ONLY person still alive who doesnt have a need for one, and tv's?? (besides me) who doesnt have more than one????
when my oldest brother's kids were young (oldest is now 30) they would get sent to their rooms--where, they had a tv and computer---what EXACTLY was the point??????
time outs work better--stick a kid in a corner for an hour, as they get older, they get privileges removed: cell phone (take it away from them), the tv in their room--cable removed/tv removed, THAT would be better .....give them a book (or make them do their homework)
(good thing I never had kids right?)

You really should follow the text from post to post. Remember, age is just a state of the mind. As long as the brain feels young you are young. cosy was just making reference to my dog who had a medical problem a few weeks ago. When you are grounded all of your perks should be untouchable.

oops! sorry for the confusion on my part good to hear the pup is ok. i am in no way endorsing child abuse or neglect but my mom goes into that speech about how her mom used to stomp on her and it starts sounding like the old i used to walk to school up hill both ways when i was your age. blah blah blah... i don't think what i did was real bad. another thing that puzzles me is that whole be in the house after 8pm or 9pm. yeah like i can't sell drugs, get pregnant, or get in trouble until the sun sets?? i am 15 and they expect us to be an adult with responsibility in just 3 years.
hi skool is another issue, i understand some of you teach? don't you think that the last 4 years of school should be treated as a progression into the 'real working world'? i work at mc donalds part time (10 hours a week) and we sure don't call the manager mr. lansing, he is bob. i think everyone would laugh if i yelled hey mr. lansing we need more fries back here! i don't tell bob everytime i got to go pee. if i am absent from work i get fired skool allows for 12 days each semester. i think the education system needs an overhaul bad. most the kids i am in skool with won't even get a job like the one i have. i am leaving the country if any of them become president.
honestly what i did wasn't that bad,
sure it is permanent marker but it will wear off and i didn't get any in his eyes.

couple of things....be home at 8 or 9--has really nothing to do with it being dark---it more has to do with you being home when people should be thinking about going to sleep (parents have to get some sleep before work too)....wanting to have you kids where you can make sure they are ok when you are getting ready for bed is a good idea.
BAD things can happen after dark--child abductions (15 is NOT old enough to NOT be grabbed!) for one.
using permanent marker on your face is not a good idea, yes I can see why your parents gave you a rather bid time out for that. (at 15 you should know better too--as you mention you are going to be 18 in a few years, this was NOT a responsible thing to do, thus another reason I can see why your parents want you home early).
working----some bosses would rather you call them by a first name usually when they arent much older than yourself (they get kidded by others as you mentioned)....and mcds is a place where 90% of the 'workers' are 21 years old or younger (now call your gen. manager by their given name and see what happens)....the month I worked at mcd's I was OLDER than ALL of the people working there and I was 22! (I got tired of babysitting and quit for a better paying and better hours and NO UNIFORM job closer to my grad school). Not to mention I had better work ethics than all of the idiots there.
worry about your peers becoming president when they are old enough (you must be 35 to run for president) so I think you have quite a few years--and will probably not be around them at that time either.....
oy
cold--still have it, pwnd, hows the sore throat??? oy--lots of stuff to do this weekend...

Oh hai guise. I have been busy the past day. The sore throat is getting better. Big improvement Wednesday to Thursday and now back to slight improvements. But it is slowly getting better which is great. Is your cold getting any better Cosy?
Ya Epic, I'd ground your ass for that too. I don't understand some of the stuff kids do these days. They all have attitudes and think they are God's gift to this Earth. Even my little sister acts like that. But my younger brother (DE) doesn't. Something must have happened between 1990 and 1993 that made kids think they are just the greatest thing ever and everyone should respect them no matter what they do or say. >.>

The grounding does sound just, but I am not going pass any judgement as i know I did some pretty stupid things when I was that age.

lol.....
cold--getting better, fever has passed. still have a sore throat in the late evening and morning. (and sneezing and coughing).
grounding--got grounded for life in 5th grade, never was allowed to go anywhere or have friends over....went to school, came home, watched whatever was on tv (that everyone else was watching--only one tv), went to bed. Cant say I ever did something stupid like that (have no little siblings)...but I wasnt a destructive kind of kid anyway----
got my new mouse up and working--so nice to scroll again!!!

I was never grounded. I just got in trouble and sent to my room. But never grounded. I tried not to be a bad kid. Didn't always work. And we only had one TV when I was younger too. So we all watched the same thing.
Went to my old colleges basketball game tonight with my gf. Was a lot of fun and we won. Added bonus.

ok you seem to misunderstood me. that is NOT my face. that is the face i drew on. that is my idiot younger brother 12 trying real hard to be a major pain in my... backside. the artwork occurred when i came home from work and he was sleeping in my room on my bed. i tried to get him moved and i decided the prank would remind him of my privacy.
mom is pretty harsh with me but this guy can walk around like,
Quote:
God's gift to this Earth.
|
exactly!
sometimes i feel sorry for him. i am leaving in 2½ years (maybe sooner) and he is going to live at home until he is 45 maybe 50 i don't know? she has raised the perfect mama's boy.

this might be true if i didn't take the self defense classes at the local YWCA. someone going to tangle with this girl?
i don't think so.
anyway the prank was just one of those lessons. tomorrow at school he can explain why he looks like rocky's avatar or wear makeup like i suggested.

putting permanent marker on ANYONE's face (your was 2nd person impersonal pronoun used to denote NOT ME, not to denote a specific person...eg: do not put this on your body, it may cause a rash, etc).
and yes, that 'girl' can be picked up by 2 burly men and tossed into the back of a truck faster than you can say HELP!.
oy,
went to find insulation for my inside door--the condo asssssses have decided that heating the common area is not within the budget--well, our doors (and walls) that face said area have NO insulation in them...so we heat that area, last year my heating bill looked more like a rent payment, I am not going to let that happen again!...got some weathing striping and then going to cover the door in reflective insulation, and got some other insulation for my 2 walls that face that area too....what a pain.
turkey for dinner (yep, 4 days early, and will be eating turkey on turkey day, and for many days after---LOVE <3 turkey!!)

Oh geez. I think she might have that same complex. "I can handle anything, I'm invincible!" Bad things happen when one thinks that. Take it from us "old folks", we know.
Time to make dinner. Grillin out burgers.
