I'm not sure about that one... I have never heard that before but who knows, maybe it does work.
How did you nearly get stabbed? Go down a bad alley?

when you got hair down to your tush--you worry about those who dont like long hair (and I have had threats in the past of peeps wanting to rid me of it!)....so yeah...sharp objects coming my way is enough to make me want to go a different way (kinda like the long tailed cat in the so called room of rocking chairs)

Eh, South Africa is like this a lot. Sharp objects flying around everywhere. They should really write a survival guide for this place :/ Then again, if our president didn't have the brain of a newborn cow, it might have been better.

politicains are the same no matter what country you live in (I think that cow analogy was used for our last one....the newest one, they havent been quite as nice).
that being said, dont think So. Africa is a country on my 'to visit' list....(currently the list is rather short---with 0)

I have already been to sweden--a few times, rather before you were born though....and I have a friend trying to get me to visit her in finland.......but my airport and airplane experiences leave me with no desire whatsoever to EVER go anywhere that requires me to use them again. (my moms family lives south of Goteborg).

I want to go to Sweden, a friend of mine lives there. But seriously Cosyfiep, SA is no joke. If you're not careful you'll be stabbed to death within a week, or robbed of everything, even your socks.
This place is brutal, but it is beautiful.

Sweden seems to have their stuff together, unless pretty much the rest of the world. So Sweden wouldn't be too bad to visit probably. But airplanes are not my favorite thing in the world. I prefer to drive everywhere. oO
I have a friend who was born in South Africa and moved here to the US when she was young. That is about it. lol She doesn't remember much about it.

Pwned, you are weird. I HATE driving.
Which is why if my boyfriend and I do move to Seattle next year like we're planning, the part I'm fretting the most about is the fact that we'll be driving out there. Gah. Much prefer flying.
I kind of want to travel all over; I haven't really seen much of anything and it kind of sucks.

I haven't either; haven't seen much of South Africa either. Been to Centurion, Durban, Cape Town, Drakensberg and Lesotho. Never been out of the land though, would love to go overseas at some point; especially to Japan.

I have done my traveling....and no, south africa was never even a thought on my list--none of africa has ever been. I have been to parts of europe, asia and of course, north america....but thats about it.
I hate flying---my ears and eyes dont agree...I am not a fan of sitting for hours while driving, but at least I can go when I want to, with whom I wish, taking whatever (within reason) with me and NO hassles about wearing metal or carrying WATER BOTTLES....much better than the 'security' we have at airports!

Our security is funny and so is the shops passed the check in counter. They have these little gift shops that sells bottles of wine and even sharp things. And apparently there's no hassle about taking THAT on the airplane. :/ Security measures are sometimes a tad twisted.

ours is just as bad...they will take away things like nail clippers--however, you can BUY these at the kiosks past the security points! /facepalm

I love driving. I like being able to control who I go with and if I go straight there or not. Flying is just meh. Too many hoops to jump through to get on a plane plus it is expensive as heck. I would prefer just to drive.
No body accused the airports of being smart!

I hate the actual process of getting from place to place, and would prefer to get where I'm going as fast as possible. So yeah, I'll deal with airports being annoying in order to cut a two day drive down to a three hour flight.

A three hour flight with two hours at the airport before getting through security and all that fun crap. That is if your plane isn't delayed. It all adds up over time. But yes, sometimes a 3 hour flight makes more sense than a 22 hour drive.
