The subject is South Asia (India)
gradeL: freshman-senior (college)

The essays were on the theory of 'drain' how the English drained Indian wealth in the 1890's-1950

That would be amazing if I were smarter than your students considering I'm a sophomore in high school and I have no knowledge of India outside of there are a lot of Hindus there.

The theory of drain is as follows:

English colonize India:
English extract raw materials from India for free
English take raw materials and manufacture them into finished goods
English sell them back to the Indians and their Sikh soldiers
English makes roughly 19000% profit

England is wealthy

It took our class 40 minutes to come up with a definition to our last History essay question, which an English teacher confirmed was grammatically broken.

I can understand having the question open to interpretation, but we're supposed to divine the single correct meaning the teacher wants from it or fail.

This is probably Snow Bunny's fault somehow.

Seems the US has been toying with the thought of invading Canada before!
Same neighbourly love/hate relationship as Denmark and Sweden enjoys! Except that we actually did wage war on each other several times!

Much better to be friends imo!

With all the american war hawks in here I would like to take the time to point out that Denmark has very little oil! (there - we should be safe now )
