Kirins of Holy Light (聖光麒麟) is looking for social casual players (and guilds)
http://guildwars.kirins.net
http://wiki.guildwars.com/wiki/Guild..._Of_Holy_Light
We are looking for players (and guilds) that:
*Are courteous to others and have a decent level of maturity.
*Enjoy missions and questing often.
*Are willing to help others progress in the game.
*Enjoy hunting down bosses and items.
*Are social and will join in to guild and alliance chats and activities.
*Understand that real life does take precedence. We pause for baby/kid breaks. Some of us rather often.
*Do not use leetspeak or abuse the English language. This is important. "U" "O" "C" "Y" and "R" are letters, not words.
*Will not beg for money and items. We believe in the "Teach a man to fish" approach to gaining possessions and position in the game.
*Are 17+ years old. We have decided to put an age requirement for new members due to issues arising with players under that marker.
About Our Guild
Our active members shifted from Kirins of Chaos (our Factions incarnation) to Kirins of Holy Light shortly before Nightfall came out. There is no religious connotation. The tag does say "Kirins of Holy Light" in Chinese. Our founding members hold a strong affinity to the Kirin.
Kirins of Holy Light (聖光麒麟) is controlled by Avy Scott and Koreena Anchalis. We are allies of the Kurzick faction and are leader of an alliance containing other small guilds. Our numbers are not large for the simple reason we do not accept any player spamming for a guild. We do this to ensure the best experience for our members that we can provide.
Our guilds are focused on PvE so members play for missions, quests, certain title gaining, and casual farming for neat items. There are a few members who enjoy AB a lot. If you are looking for a guild that understands "BRB, have to change the baby!" or other real life occurances then our guild might be a good match. Being a parent (and there are quite a few in our guild) is not a requirement but and understanding of the needs of one is.
Please note that we are NOT looking at ever taking over towns and our primary purpose isn't simply to have 100 names on our list. We want to gather like minded people so forming groups is easier and enjoyable and make some friends while at it.
We are looking for members that will make a serious attempt to help us grow and to involve themselves into our group. Our current members do their best to be online and helpful but we do have outside responsibilities. Members are on anywhere from 10 am to 2 am EST and are located all over the world. (We generally use EST to plan events).
Faction farming is not required; the only ones who do so are going for the title.
There is no 'minimum hours logged' requirement. We welcome players who only have time for a couple hours a week just as openly as the ones who play several hours a day.
Guild Activities
We do not have many scheduled activities right now, much is just spur of the moment. We do hold small guild/alliance contests at least once a month. Depending on what the weekend bonus is, that is what we will tend to gravitate towards.
Our guilds resources:
* Guild halls with storage, merchant, and rune trader (plus a few others that are rarely used). They are the only ones members really have a regular use for. KoC has a skill trainer in their hall for the purpose of easy Signets of Capture.
* Ventrillo 2.1 server. We use this version as it allows for more connections.
* Guild webpage. Our guild webpage contains information we find relevant such as often used builds, guides for trade and salvaging as well as general play tips, forums, guild made downloads, and a list of members and their alts to keep track of who is who.
About Our Alliance
Our goal is to gather guilds of similar values and mindsets and form bridges between these mini communities. Our aim is to have three primary mid sized guilds (25-50 active members) and a few smaller family/friends sized guilds (6-15 members) and reach a total of 100-150 people. This size will allow members the opportunity to meet and group with a nice pool of players in their game times while keeping the level of personal familiarity that is important to all our guilds. We believe in keeping the strength that comes from well knit groups but want to offer them a link to reach out beyond and meet new people again.
If you feel we might be a good match for you, please use our application here and an officer will contact you as soon as possible. If you have a guild that follows these guidelines and are looking for a Kurzick alliance to join please feel free to contact us as well.
