Announcing The Union of Light!

Background:
I have been in many guilds since I've been playing Guild Wars, and only one
ever felt like home. Alas, that guild disbanded a while back, and I've bounced
around guilds since. I finally decided that the only way I would get that guild
that feels like home again would be to start my own guild. So, I have decided
to create The Union of Light [UoL].

Mission Statement:
To create a guild which "feels like home" to its members. We aim to create a
fun and productive environment to our members.

Guild Features:
- Guild Cape
+ featuring shining axe emblem

- Isle of Meditation Guild Hall
+ Have storage and a few other Hall upgrades, will be getting more

- Teamspeak Server
+ Up and running

- Website
+ We have a basic forum website up now.

- Alliance (Kurzick) (NOT YET AVAILABLE)
+ I have not decided yet if I will seek other guilds to join a UoL-led alliance,
or to join an existing alliance. This will be discussed soon.

- Guild Rewards/Contests (NOT YET AVAILABLE)
+ I plan on having rewards for participation in UoL as well as raffles, contests,
etc. I have not decided on the specifics yet.. but they will probably be
instituted as soon as the guild website is up.

Requirements:
- Must have mic/teamspeak
+ The main reason for this is that it plays a vital role in guildmates getting to
know each other. It is also extremely important for PvP/Missions/Farming.

- Must be mature
+ I will not put an age limit on the guild, but excessive immaturity will not be
permitted. We all like to goof off from time to time, but at a certain point
it gets annoying/distracting, and has no place in [UoL].

- Must be active
+ I do not mean to say that you have to be on for 5 hours every day. Nor
will I say that you MUST be on 5 days/week or whatever. But, if you play
10hrs/week or so, that'll be just fine. Any extended absences with prior
notice will be fully excused.

- Must be experienced
+ Again, I don't mean that you have to be an amazing player. But, people
just starting off in Guild Wars are not going to be able to game with most
of us, and will probably get frustrated. If you've been playing for a couple
months or more, you're probably okay. We'd like to see some established
experience to prove a level of commitment to playing Guild Wars.

- Must be helpful
+ I want high character people in this guild. UoL is about having a "family".
I do not want anyone feeling like they are being treated rudely or unfairly
by any other guild members.

Immediate Needs:
I need an officer or two to help me get this thing on its feet. I'm not offering
any "first 5 people to join get officer!" promotions or anything like that. But, if
you have an interest in becoming an officer please mention it.

I also would like anyone who is experienced with web design/programming, to
assist in building a UoL website. I have a lot of experience in the area of web
development, but not the time to devote to it.
