Empires of the West [EotW] would be happy to welcome mature and active team players into our midst.

Who we are:
We are a mature and established international guild with around 40 members dating back to may 2005 with a combination of experienced and new players from all around Europe – such as Great Britain, Denmark, Sweden, Germany, Polen, Holland etc.

EotW is an all-round guild, playing both PvE and PvP, with a casual and friendly community where respectful and helpful interaction between guild members makes being part of the guild worthwhile. GW is after all about having fun and the key ingredient to having fun is to have happy members that like each other.

What we like:
We have and still do play a lot of PvE stuff like missions, Vanquishing, Dungeons and UW/FoW etc. But during the last year turned part of our focus on the GvG scene.

We have since then been building up our tactic gameplay and communication based around a balanced build setup with minor variations and we especially encourage people that would like to or likes playing GvG to join the guild as we often are 1 or 2 people short on certain GvG nights.

We are not a high ranked team - so winning or losing is not the end of the world and being new/newer on the GvG scene is not a problem as long as you are interested in learning. In that respect we are looking for an extra core monk and some flexible midline players (like Ele, Mes and Ranger).

Who we play with:
We are members of a good Kurzick alliance called “Nirvana”, which has around 300 active members within the guilds with a friendly, helpful and mature attitude.

Every Tuesday we have an alliance night where one of the guilds arrange a PvP or PvE event in which members from all the guilds are able to join, but throughout the week the single alliance guilds will arrange GvG matches, FoW/UW runs, PvE HM missions, lottery or special 1v1 matches to mention some of it ..

When do we play:
Our peak playing times are from 7pm till 11pm+ GMT (or later) on weeknights due to many of our members have busy lives with studies, work and families. But some guild or alliance members will almost always be around.

Where do we live:
We have a very nice and organized forum where we frequently post everything from guild events to good builds. That is our main home and many of us use it daily for both general chat and serious discussions.

We also have our own Ventrilo server as we believe that voice communication is the key to success regardless if we just do a simple mission or a GvG match together.

But to sum it up ..

We can offer you:
• A friendly and mature guild with helpful guild members and good team ethics.
• A guild and alliance channel free of idle and immature chatters.
• A guild open to input and suggestions from its members.
• Access to advice and help from guild members and alliance members.
• Alliance events throughout the week by signing up on the shared alliance forum.
• An opportunity to join an organized GvG team for some usually good matches.
• Access to our own Ventrilo server 24/7.
• A guild that understands we all have been beginners in GW once.
• A guild that understands real life commitments sometimes take precedence over playing GW.

We require you to:
• Be 16+ years old.
• Be able to understand english and make yourself understood as well.
• Be active several times throughout a week and willing to take part in some of the social ingame events.
• Interested in doing stuff together at least part of the time and and not just be the “Lone ranger” with heros.
• Be calm, patient, relaxed and mature, who will not blame and rage if someone makes a mistake.
• Use common sense and show respect when dealing with other guild/alliance members.
• Be willing to learn and listen when playing within teams in order to improve as a player.
• Have Ventrilo installed and microphone that works - so you can communicate when needed.
