The League Of Friends - recruiting mature players
Hi there. I am the recruiting officer in a UK based guild, The League Of Friends [LOF]. We currently have about 40 members and are looking to increase that number up to 50 by recruiting active, mature (well, ish ) players. Ideally we are looking for players 18+ and currently have members varying from 18 to 58 or so. Our emphasis is on being able to have a laugh and enjoy ourselves whilst playing Guild Wars with guild mates that take the game seriously but understand that there is a real life out there as well.
We are a very friendly guild that focuses mainly on PvE, however we do have a few members who enjoy the odd PVP skirmish. We have regular guild outings most nights of the week varying from hard mode and normal mode missions and vanquishing to clearing areas such as FoW, UW, Tombs, etc... Even when an outing isn't taking place there is more often than not a group itching to cause some serious damage somewhere across the 4 campaigns .We are also part of an active Luxon Alliance.
Our members are almost always more than willing to help each other out or just muck in and have a good time with whatever people want to do.
We look to recruit people who would like to become long term members, so we do ask that you visit our guild hall for a brief and hopefully not too painful chat with some members and officers before we agree to invite you as a member. We like to keep the number of members at around 40-50 so that people feel they are a significant part of the guild.
Level of experience and ability are not an issue in The League Of Friends. We accept players of all levels of experience. There are some players who have done most of everything there is to do, and others who have only been playing a short while. Help and advice is always forthcoming whenever asked for.
The main thing we ask for in our members is that they are friendly and enjoy themselves when online. Feel free to chat and make friends, it's why we're here. One thing you will not find in The League Of Friends is intimidation or
elitism. Indeed, if anyone is found to be rude and elitist then they will be warned not to do so again, however i cannot remember the last time this was needed. We also have a Teamspeak server for use by our members to chat and communicate with each other, however use of this is by no means a requirement.
We have a brand spanking new forum at - http://lofguild.co.uk/index.php
Feel free to have a look around and drop a message in the "Membership Applications" section if you feel we may be able to offer what you are looking for.
Alternatively you can whisper me in game (IGN = Slave Called Shiver). I joined the guild about 9 months ago having become disenchanted with PUG's and a couple of guilds which seemed to take the game far too seriously. My experience in LOF over that time has been a very positive one.
I look forward to hearing from anyone that is interested in joining the League Of Friends.
