Let me start off by saying that HotU will NOT censor alliance chat. We are not here to play “Parent”. It is the responsibility of all guild leaders and/or officers to inform their guildies on the alliance policies. If you do recruit or currently have members under the age of 18 they need to know that alliance chat will be vulgar. If they will be offended by this or are unable to handle it, they need to be sure to keep alliance chat off. This goes for all members regardless of age. With that said, if your whole guild has alliance chat off there is really not much of a point in being in the alliance. We expect each guild to have at least a few representatives from each guild that will be active in alliance chat and participate in alliance events.

Who are We: HotU is a small, close-knit alliance, looking to grow. We cater to “mature” (Primarily 18+) members who are just looking to enhance their game play. Our members are primarily American, however we do have UK, Canadian, Australian, Brazilian and other members. All are welcome! (We are also recruiting for guildies, so if this sounds like the place for you, either PM me here or in game <Riana Wynd>)

What We Want:
· Like-minded close-knit guilds who will take an active role in making the alliance a success.
· Another avenue for members to go to for help, outside of their guild.
· Fun-loving people, with a sense of humor, who are not afraid to speak up in Alliance Chat.
· Guilds that will include allies in missions, GvG, AB, or any other things. (We understand guildies take first priority. We just ask that you offer open spots to allies before going to PUGS)

NOTE: We prefer that our guilds in the alliance have members that are primarily 18 +. This is due to the fact that Alliance chat can get rather vulgar, however it’s not a requirement. We trust our fellow Guild’s officers to recruit at their discretion.

What We Don't Want:

· People easily offended by language or jokes. WARNING: If sex, drug use, and random acts of violence are offensive to you or your guildies, we are NOT the alliance for you.
· People that are serious about Faction. We do not faction farm. We like to give our members the freedom of pretty much doing what they like. If you want to AB and donate faction, that is your choice. So if you are looking for an alliance with loads of faction, we are not the place for you.
· Arrogant people who will order alliance members to run a specific build. If you AB, GvG, or do any missions with us, we will NOT tell you what builds to run or which class to play. We may offer suggestions, but we believe everyone should learn what works best for them. The only exception to this rule is if you join us for Hardmode or Elite Dungeons in EotN or if you join the alliance on Heroes Ascent runs, there are certain builds that work best for these which we might need you to run based on your class. However, we will work with you to come up with the build and will even help you find the skills.
· Rudeness. We will NOT tolerate rudeness to Alliance Members. If you are just joking around with another alliance member and they are cool with it, that’s fine. But outright rudeness will NOT be tolerated. With that said, we understand that disagreements can occur. We just ask that each guild leader work together to ensure that things do not get out of hand. If the guild leaders are unable to reach an agreement, I will step in and work with everyone to come up with a compromise.

· GvG, Missions, AB, and Dungeon groups. We almost always have an extra spot in anything HotU may be doing, and we love for our alliance members to join us. Beats trying to find a PUG!
· Access to our Teamspeak server. (We recently have added a Vent server which our allies will have access to. All guild leaders wanting to have their own channel created will need to speak with me either via e-mail or in game.)
· Unlimited access to our forums which includes your own forum by your guild name. Check us out at http://hotuguild.com
