[UHOY] - Unlikely Heroes of Yesterday

We're a Luxon guild that has been around for two years. We are the leaders of an alliance and our Guild Hall is Wizards Isle. We have Ventrilo, but it is not required that you use it. Ventrilo is shared among the alliance even though it is owned by [UHOY]. Currently there are 40 members of [UHOY] and will be topped off at 60 members. We are focused on keeping the guild more like family instead of a giant monopoly guild where we don't even know each others' names. We're a mature guild with the age range between 15-46 years of age. We talk a lot in guild chat and alliance chat, but it's not required that you speak constantly.

The Unlikely Heroes of Yesterday is all about Player vs. Environment and helping the guildmates excel at the game. We offer our help to those that need it and are more than happy to fully answer any question a guildmate may have. We don't call any guild member "noobs" because we have all been there once. Watching a newcomer mature in the game is one of the best things to experience.

We do. Most of us like to do Alliance Battles, but we're not at all serious about faction farming. We just enjoy the fellowship of slaying Kurzicks as one happy group. We also do scrimmages within the guild for fun and to test new builds.

We do not do Player vs Player other than Alliance Battles. Many of us don't do group farming.

We do have expectations of our guildmates. We ask that you keep conversations civil and that not every other word you type be a curse word. Flaming is forbidden. You are allowed to toss jokes back and forth, but don't cross the line. We ask that you be mature. Don't ask to sell something in the Alliance channel. There is a trade channel for a reason.

We understand that there is a life away from the keyboard. You will not be booted from the Guild until you reach the 2 month mark. Even the Guild Leader takes breaks from time to time. It's understandable and unavoidable. Enjoy life to its fullest!

The Guild Leader is known simply as "Pierce". Pierce is a 21 year old married woman. She has been playing Guild Wars for two years, has beaten all four games, and is online as often as possible. She pays for Ventrilo and often talks to everyone. She's laid back, easy to speak to, and more than willing to help on missions or quests.

The Officers are loyal members and extremely helpful within the game. They are easy to speak to and very knowledgeable of the game. Each Officer has beaten at least one of the games and has been associated with the guild for at least a month before being promoted.

Please do not join if you are thinking of leaving Guild Wars soon. If you are looking for free rides all around the four games. If you are a leecher (because you'll be wasting your time in UHOY, you earn your keeps). If you rather do more PvP then PvE. If you insist that you are ALWAYS right ("know it alls" are looked down upon in this guild.) If you are not respectful of others. If you're wanting to be an instant officer (sorry, officers earn their rank). If you enjoying causing drama. If you suffer from diarrhea of the mouth (cursing).
