We Farm Your [ECTOs] has come a long way in building up a nice reputation for ourselves in the overall GW community, and we would like to recruit some active players who are interested in contributing to that and making it even better.

WHO WE ARE:

We Farm Your [ECTOs] is a member of the Scions Of Carver [SCAR] Alliance, one of the more highly-reputable high-end PvE alliances in GW today. Our guild (and overall alliance) is a high-end PvE and elite farming community, which specializes in such things as: HM Shards Of Orr, Bogroot's Growth Frog Scepter Runs, Other Random Dungeon Clears, Domain Of Anguish, FOW & UW (And Their Respective Speed Clears), Title Hunting, Vanquishes For Faction (ie. Morostav Trail/Drazach Thicket SC/Mount Qinkai SC/etc.), and whatever else catches our eye. With the addition of the Zaishen Daily Challenge quests/missions, we have been grinding out lots of those as well. Though we consider ourselves mainly PvE, there will certainly be times we'll give HA and lower forms of PvP a dedicated effort (especially true now with the PvP Zaishen Combat quests available). Alliance and guild chat is always active with people setting up some run or other, so there is rarely a dull moment to be found from the moment we log in until the moment we log out.

[ECTOs] is built from a core of people who have been playing GW together for years (and thus, have built up a tremendous bond). This isn't a guild that will completely fall apart or empty into nothing overnight. It's a stable roster, so you don't have to worry about going over this same recruitment process with somebody new a month or two from now. Tired of constantly guild hopping because of all those slapped-together guilds who are destined to fail? We aim to provide a home for all of those capable players who, due to the declining state of interest in this game overall, are constantly finding themselves without a home.

In some way, shape, or form, the core of this guild plans to move onto Guild Wars 2, but that's a bridge we'll cross when we come to it (since it's apparently so far off).

HOW WE ARE:

Although We Farm Your [ECTOs] has a pretty sizeable roster already, we are recruiting into our guild because there is always room to make new friends, acquaintances, and people to shoot the breeze with over completely random things that have nothing to do with GW.

We are serious about our guild recruitment, but that's mainly because we want to have as good a roster as possible for the betterment of everyone involved. Make no mistake, however. We are friendly and open. This guild is as loose as any of those townie party guilds you see that are constructed merely for hanging out and meeting new people with similar interests. Our ventrilo server not only exists for in-game communication, but also for having a good time and getting to know one another. Miss out on ventrilo, miss out on doing nearly 100% of what we do together as a guild. Miss out on our forums, miss out on some of our in-jokes, contests, and discussions. We aim for a serious attitude with regards to accomplishing objectives in-game, but know that we can also tell a joke and at the same time take it. Priority lies with those who make an effort to participate and contribute to making this guild an enjoyable place for everyone involved, not just in-game but overall.

REQUIREMENTS:

1. Age: 16 or higher. Most importantly, a decent level of maturity that accompanies that age.
2. Still active with GW. If you aren't ever there, who needs you here?
3. A working microphone and Ventrilo are REQUIRED to join. Don't even bother to apply for membership here if you lack these and don't plan to remedy that in short order, as it's an automatic "no". Not being on our guild or alliance ventrilo server(s) WILL exclude you from many of the things we do. People who do not get on our ventrilo server - to get to know the rest of us and take part in our guild activities - are not the kind of players we are looking for. If you are someone who will chronically ignore getting on our guild or alliance ventrilo server(s), then you are someone who won't last long with us.
4. At this time, we are ONLY recruiting players who are knowledgeable of, and are immediately ready for, high-end speed clears and guild runs, of all types. If you don't have a multitude of farming-ready characters (ie. access to areas AND necessary PvE skills/builds), or lack experience in such things, then we are not the guild for you. We need more players to fill up our guild run groups, not more people to fill up our roster. We're doing fine with that as it is.
5. You must want to join this guild to be an integral part of it. We're not interested in those people who will act excited and cordial on the first day but from that point on completely ignore everyone else on the roster. Participate and contribute to making this guild an enjoyable place for everyone involved (through vent, guild chat, guild forums, offering help/assistance, etc.) or don't be surprised when your roster spot is given to someone who will.
6. Guild hopping within the [SCAR] Alliance is FORBIDDEN without prior permission from both guilds and a legit reason for wanting to. Once you are an [ECTOs] member, ignorant behavior towards [ECTOs] but not towards the [SCAR] Alliance itself will get you kicked from our roster and most likely result in you being blacklisted from the entire alliance. There is plenty of time to show us love even if you mainly enjoy doing alliance activities over our own.
7. You must have a thick skin because we are mostly adults and enjoy ribbing a bit. This isn't a PG-13 guild by any means (although we mandate a show of respect when addressing the alliance). If that's too much for you, you aren't enough for us.

No registration is necessary to post a recruitment application in the [ECTOs] Guild Recruitment sub-forum. Our forums play a big role in the [ECTOs] experience (if not outright participation then adherence to check-ins for updates and guild news), so it will be REQUIRED that you register for a forums account before you are actually invited, or shortly thereafter. Refusal to do this will make your stay in [ECTOs] a short one.

10. What are your favorite things to do in the game, and why?
11. What experience do you have with speed clears, dungeons and high-end/elite areas?
12. Would you consider yourself to be more of a leader or a follower, and why?
13. How many guilds have you been in? Which ones?
14. How is your relationship with your past guilds and what made you leave them?
15. [SCAR] Alliance guild hopping without prior permission and a legit reason is FORBIDDEN. Understand this?

To make sure [ECTOs] is the right guild for you, feel free to ask questions before or after filling out a recruitment application. You can do this in your own recruitment application thread, via PM to a Guild Leader/Officer on our forums or in-game, or even on our guild's ventrilo server if you wish.

Before acceptance, you may be asked onto our guild's ventrilo server for a follow-up interview. Since a working microphone and ventrilo are one of our main requirements for joining, this shouldn't be a problem for anyone who is serious about getting an [ECTOs] roster spot. Don't get too worked up over this. We are cool people! If you are on the bubble, willingness to go the extra mile and get to know us beforehand could sway votes in your favor.

Once you are accepted into the guild, we insist that you get on our guild's ventrilo server and introduce yourself to everyone ASAP.
