We Farm Your [ECTOs] has come a long way in building up a nice reputation for ourselves in the overall GW community, and we would like to recruit some active players who are interested in contributing to that and making it even better. We must be doing something right, popularity-wise, as currently our guild roster is almost full. Available roster spots are short, so we can only accept a select few at this time to be new members. Do you want in?

ABOUT US:

We Farm Your [ECTOs] is a member of the Scions Of Carver [SCAR] Alliance, one of the more highly-reputable high-end PvE alliances in GW today. Our guild (and overall alliance) is a high-end PvE and elite farming community, which specializes in such things as: HM Shards Of Orr, Bogroot's Growth Frog Scepter Runs, Other Random Dungeon Clears, Domain Of Anguish, FOW & UW (And Their Respective Speed Clears), Title Hunting, Vanquishes For Faction (ie. Morostav Trail/Drazach Thicket SC/Mount Qinkai SC/etc.), and whatever else catches our eye. We grind out lots of the Zaishen Daily Challenges as well. Though we consider ourselves mainly a high-end PvE guild, we've started to branch a bit into PvP, especially Heroes' Ascent. Alliance and guild chat is always active with people setting up some run or other, so there is rarely a dull moment to be found from the moment we log in until the moment we log out.

[ECTOs] is built from a core of people who have been playing GW together for years (and thus, have built up a tremendous bond). This isn't a guild that will completely fall apart or empty into nothing overnight. It's a stable environment with a roster that rarely sees changes for the worse. Although We Farm Your [ECTOs] has a pretty sizeable roster already, we are recruiting into our guild because there is always room to make new friends, acquaintances, and people to shoot the breeze with over completely random things that have nothing to do with GW. We are serious about our guild recruitment because we want to have as good a roster as possible for the betterment of everyone involved. Make no mistake, however. We are friendly and open. We consider ourselves a bit more laid-back and not as "serious business" as a lot of the other high-end guilds out there are. There is a real emphasis on the 'community' aspect here, and not simply on what we can accomplish in-game. This guild isn't a product of just the efforts of the Guild Leader/Officers, but of the time EVERYONE who has worn our guild tag, past and present, has put into it.

Our guild's ventrilo server is packed daily with members, and it's essential not only for in-game communication, but also for having a good time and getting to know one another too. Our guild's forums are busier than most and have become a big part of the overall guild experience. Miss out on ventrilo and/or our forums, miss out on doing nearly 100% of what we do together as a guild. Miss out on ventrilo and/or our forums, miss out on our in-jokes, off-the-wall discussions, and contests and activities designed to bring everyone closer together. We promise that you will enjoy getting to know us, as our member-base includes people of all ages and locations, and encompasses lots of various interests, not just in-game but out.

In some way, shape, or form, the core of this guild plans to move onto Guild Wars 2 together, so we're an ideal home for anyone who is looking to (eventually) go beyond what Guild Wars 1 has to offer.

REQUIREMENTS AND EXPECTATIONS:

1. Age Requirement: 18 or higher. Most importantly, a decent level of maturity that accompanies that age.

2. You must still be active with Guild Wars and able/willing to play often enough that you aren't merely taking up space on our roster. We prune inactive members after three weeks, so if you are prone to taking large breaks from the game, you are better off looking for another guild. There are very few available roster spots left, and we simply cannot afford to let people join up and then disappear.

3. A working microphone and ventrilo are REQUIRED to join, and we expect every guild member to use our vent server regularly. Don't even bother to apply for membership here if you lack these and don't plan to remedy that in short order, as it's an automatic "no".

4. Every guild member MUST register for an account on our guild forums. News, updates, feedback, contests, and other off-topic BS'ing that you won't find in-game are worth checking the forums regularly for, and we expect every member to do just that.

5. There is a real emphasis on the 'community' aspect here, and not simply on what we can accomplish in-game. If you want to stay in this guild, you must be an integral part of it. That means participation and contribution to making this guild an enjoyable place for everyone involved (through vent, guild chat, guild forums, offering help/assistance, etc.). If you are only interested in this guild because of its guild tag, or what we can do for YOU, then you aren't worth giving one of those few available roster spots to. If you are someone who will only use vent minimally or only for guild runs, you won't be a good fit for the 'community' aspect our guild stands for. We want people who will hang out with the rest of us in-between those guild runs too. Your roster spot won't last long if you display chronic ignorance of our guild's ventrilo server and/or our forums, or ignorant behavior towards our guild but not towards the [SCAR] Alliance itself. There is plenty of time to show some love to the guild you are in even if you mainly enjoy doing alliance activities over our own.

6. While being a member of this guild, you must act respectful, not only to other guild members and our alliance, but even when dealing with outsiders and PUGs. (We are well-known and word can get back to us even if we aren't around.) You must put your petty immaturities aside to ensure that this guild keeps its reputation high and well-received within the overall GW community. We are not a guild that tolerates rage-quitting, ripoff artists, whining, bragging, or any other type of behavior that will disrupt our laid-back atmosphere. Come here to have a good time with us, not to prove you are better than any of us.

7. You must have several well-developed characters who are at high-end level, game-wise. That doesn't mean simply being at level 20, but rather advancement through most/all of the campaigns, a good assortment of skills/elites/PvE skills (unlocked on your overall account and acquired on your particular characters), outposts mapped, etc... This guild focuses on "high-end" activities: speed clears, balanced teams, title-grinding, and anything else that's considered "high-end". If you aren't ready for that "high-end", you aren't ready for a high-end guild, even a more laid-back high-end guild such as ours. Prior knowledge of our guild and/or alliance runs isn't necessary, but having enough characters developed to the point that it won't take you much time to get up-to-speed is a major deciding factor of your acceptance with us.

8. You must have a thick skin because we are mostly adults and enjoy ribbing a bit. This isn't a PG-13 guild by any means (although we mandate a show of respect when addressing the alliance). If that's too much for you, you aren't enough for us.

06. Please give a detailed description of all of your characters: professions, progress through campaigns, acquired skills/elites, etc.. Anything that will help paint a picture of what we can expect from your Guild Wars account.

07. What are your favorite things to do in the game? What experience do you have with speed clears, dungeons, and high-end/elite areas? What farming builds/spots are you experienced with?

08. Tell us about your previous guilds: the guild names (including guild tags), type of guild they are/were, your relationship with them (now & then), and your reason(s) for joining & leaving each of them.

09. How did you find out about our guild? Have you ever seen any of our guild members in-game anywhere or interacted with any of them? Have you ever been in a PUG group with any of our guild members? Explain any past experiences you've had with our guild members (if applicable and if your memory allows).

10. Give us a little bit of info about yourself. If it comes down to it, why should we choose you over someone else with similar qualities? What exactly can you bring to this guild and overall community? What are you looking for from this guild and overall community?
