If you know much about PC gaming, then you've probably heard about Steam before. If you're not familiar with it, it is basically a place where you can buy and download PC games and stay in contact with your friends. It's like Xbox Live, but free. There are great community features on Steam such as adding friends and talking to them regardless of what game they're playing (text or voice chat) and being able to create groups and plan events easily. I think it would be a great idea to utilize these with Guild Wars.

I'm trying to gauge interest of the idea of an Official Steam Guild and see if there would be anybody else that is interested in the idea. I've already started a thread on the Steam forums here. People new to the game and veterans would both be welcome. The only requirement would be to have a Steam account and join the Official Steam Guild group on Steam. Of course the group doesn't actually exist yet because the guild doesn't exist yet. Right now I'm just trying to see if there would be enough people interested in the idea to start it up.

I'm looking for any feedback at all; positive or negative. If you could, please go to the Steam thread and post any suggestions or ideas. If there are enough people interested, I'll definitely start up the Official Steam Guild.
