Wow, was expecting to wait a few days for some responses. Thank you all for some ideas. I almost lost hope in finding something similar because of the chat log in major outposts. Glad to see that NOT everyone on Guild Wars is a kid.

When I first started, I was really overwhelmed with the economy (lol even in games) and builds, and pretty much everything. Someone helped me out a lot. And after four or so days of miss communication, it turns out his guild was recruiting, and he thought I just wasn't interested.

So as of 4/14 I am a member of X Knock Out X. I'm going to give it a shot and see how it goes.

Hi folks,

I've been playing Guild Wars for a little over a week (but MMOs much longer) and have noticed how many guilds are just recruiting everyone and anyone. I'm used to finding guilds from word of mouth and getting to know them a little bit at a time, and just join something with so many members that the chat log floods every second. I have been messaged about joining a guild and even invited to become a member so many times that I thought I would just end it and look for one, even though I'm not fully to where I wanna be in the game yet.

So I'm looking for:
Maturity (kids and censorship do not rule, and neither does cussing just because you can)
Balance (competition and relaxation)
Selectivity (not everyone and anyone can join)
Helpfulness (No one knows everything)
Commitment
PvX
Luxon

In short, I don't wanna feel like I'm working at a job when I am playing a game. But I like a challenge, so I don't want to sit around all the time either. And the real world is all uptight with so many rules and regulations. Unless someone is purposefully trying to offend someone, don't freak out.

Oh yeah, my current main is a A/D. My alternate character is a Necromancer although I may play a Mesmer, as there are hardly any out there.

I don't know if I'm asking to much, but I thought I would ask anyway. Because I don't like to settle, so why should you?
