Bumping into Queen Kitiara today, we talked about how little interaction there had been amongst the contestants during the competition, and how many of us had never managed to meet each other. So, we put our wise pumpkins together, and....

TIME: This wednesday, starting around 8 pm GMT. This would be middle of the afternoon in America. (please comment on the time, we can change it if many people can't make it! However, there's only about a 2-3 hour leeway that we can change it by, before it gets pretty much impossible for either side of the world )
PLACE: starting at Queen Kitiara's guild hall, perhaps moving on to LA/Kamadan at some point of the event

It would be nice if as many people as possible could let us know in this thread if they're able to come. This invitation is open to everyone, including the contestants and the people who read this thread. Remember though, you'll have to whisper Kitiara when the actual event gets underway to get access to her guild hall.

Why wednesday? Well, we thought the promise of Mad King Thorn would get many people to get ingame, and what better way to enjoy his wacky antics than with a party.

I have lots of party supplies and plan on sharing the wealth! LoL even though I have only 2k cash I have 35 Bottle Rockets, 33 Sparklers, 51 Champagne Poppers, 30 Transmorgrifier Tonics, 29 Squash Serum, 25 Ghost in the Boxes and 1 Vial of Absinthe lol

Assignment #9 – "Audizione Via"

From 12 – 4, you remaining girls are definitely the crème de la crème. From promotional movie posters to paparazzi shots, from romantic scenes to terrifying horror flicks, you girls have mastered it all. Now, it is time to put all your training to the test. It is common knowledge that amateur actors have to audition like frenzied chickens to even reach an inch of recognition. Luckily for you all, you have already had some publicity so instead of going to 20 auditions in search of that one small job, you get to audition for big name Hollywood Films!

We have compiled a casting list from 8 Major films directed by big name directors that will skyrocket any one of you into immortal fame… only if you pass their auditions!

Auditions are hard work, and so, we do not expect you to audition for all 8 films. Rather, focus on doing well on particular ones! Your auditions require a cover letter introducing why you should be cast for that role, in that specific movie. It also requires a mock shoot where you will have a photo shoot taking specific moments of your scenes.

For example:

Casting – Film – Castle in the Cloud
Director: Bob’s Bobchild
Summary: Plot consists of a protagonists (female) journey through a fantasy sky kingdom after nearly drowning in the sea.
Casting: Female, slender, fit, unafraid of acting with little clothing.

As an actress I would reply back to the casting notice with something like this:

Dear Mr. Bobchild,

With relative experience in acting in every genre of film, I believe I am a great fit for your role of the female protagonist. I have done such films as Blue Wave, The Birdies, and a recurring role in the television series Grey’s Atoms. As a former model, I also fit your standard of a slender and fit actress. I hope to meet you in an audition soon.

Then I would offer a picture of my in character… in the described summary. Read the title, read every single detail to come up with the most ideal shot!

Remember it is quality over quantity! You will get scored on your audition request and the actual audition shot!

Summary:
- 1 shot per each chosen film
- 1 audition request per chosen film

Here are the 8 you girls can select from!

1) Casting – Film – The Turquoise Queen
Director: Stalker Mama
Summary: Plot consists of a protagonists (female) rise to power when she finds out she is the heir to the ruling class of the Turquoise Realm. She ends up being warrior queen of the land, and fending off the neighboring Onyx Clan.
Casting: Female, Can appear elegant, glamorous and aristocratic. Strong enough to hold weapons for war scenes.

2) Casting – Film – The Isolated
Director: Stephen Spieldburger
Summary: Plot consists of an antagonist (female) that has a horrible psychic power beyond her control. She is bullied, beat up, and eventually loses control of her powers and destroys her village.
Casting: Female, Can appear dark, moody, Gothic and troubled. Should be aware of being cast into a very emotionally demanding role.

3) Casting – Film – Eden’s Web
Director: Carrie Bababoosh
Summary: Plot consists of a protagonist (female) that is the first female in Tyria. She wanders through Prehistoric Tyria creating plants, animals and eventually becomes Mother Tyria.
Casting: Female, Comfortable with bare minimum clothing for majority of film time. Comfortable with vegetative areas and changing weathers. Unafraid of wild beasts.

4) Casting – Film – Dwayna’s Kiss
Director: Ohlas Canthe
Summary: Plot consists of a young couple that finds our the female protagonist has only 1 month left to live. The protagonist decides she does now want to look for a cure and ends up spending her last few weeks with her loved one.
Casting: Female, Comfortable with little to no makeup and looking sickly. Comfortable with dying scenes and awareness of scene partners.

5) Casting – Film – Grenth X
Director: Malkovich Booze
Summary: Plot consists of a group of teens fighting against death. The female protagonist escapes death 2 times before confronting the god himself and succeeding in becoming immortal.
Casting: Female, Comfortable with long hours, working in dark settings, and able to act scared for long periods of time.

6) Casting – Film – Kill Jill
Director: Quantum Tarantula
Summary: Plot consists of a characters revenge on a team of assassins that ruined her past television Show. Jill the films antagonist owns the broadcasting company and ruined the main characters career.
Casting: Female, Comfortable with wielding bladed weapons. Comfortable with action scenes against many other actors/actresses.

7) Casting – Film – The Grandmother
Director: Marlon Brunda
Summary: Plot consists of a character’s role as the leader of an underground operation. She controls the trafficking of drugs, tonics, and transmogrification potions in all of Tyria.
Casting: Female, Comfortable with acting in scenes where transformation into elves or even pumpkins occurs. Comfortable with torture scenes.

8) Casting – Film – Gossip Girlies: At the beach!
Director: Bratz Versace
Summary: Plot consists of a group of teenage girl’s adventure to the local beach! Parties, cat fights, budding romances happen between the beach staff and the girls!
Casting: Female, Comfortable with acting long hours out in the sun. Can cooperate with a team of other actresses.

This assignment is due NO LATER THAN Saturday, November 3rd, 11:59PM GMT +5.

So, umm... I'm a bit confused on one point. Can we audition for more than one movie by sending in a shot and an application for each, or do we just pick one single movie to audition for?

Oh, and glad to hear so many people are interested in our Halloween party! I'm quite aware that many people are probably going out that night, that's why at least for Americans it's a bit better that it's during the day. For Europeans... well, couldn't really come up with a better time.

I'll probably be online on wednesday a bit earlier already, just in case there's people who'll have a harder time making it later.

wow, that's one tough assignment! I'm partly glad I don't have to think about TNS this particular week as the only day I'd have time for it is wednesday, and that just so happens to be halloween, so there'll be loads going on. Good luck on this one!

I'm quite sure I can make it to the party, but then again, as it's in the evening, I might not be able to stay too long as I'll probably go out as well. We'll see. Mightily looking forward to meeting all of you!

My mind is reeling from the possibilities on this one - I'm about to bounce in game and start shooting but before I did I wanted to drop a note to say I won't be able to make Wednesday as I've already arranged to host the annual Halloween quiz/party with the Guild at that time. I'll try to contact people when we're done, see if I can catch up with some of you.
