Ack! /choke* /choke*
Ahhh man! I knew I was upset with my submission and wanted to reshoot but was out of time We shot twice and I was about to drive Sue crazy with a 3rd cuz I have a annoying habit of shooting/ assessing and shooting again till I really like a shot. Lesson learned here is that it's hard with a partner and time zone issues blah blah :P so better get quicker at assessing while shooting! Each night we did a different place and worked on improving after reviewing shots...by the time Sue could get online Sunday it was only thirty minutes left for getting a shot and that was just to little time darn it...hopefully I will get the chance to kick butt next week. As for my picture, we had a major height problem with Sue towering above me and hence the bowing but trying to have the cops trying to catch up...I tried hard to listen to my 2 major past flaws - too much good ideas at once (busy) and no skill auras! ...so hence the selection of the shot...but then later I did more work trying to improve and wanted to go for a flat out hardcore run(for our third shot) I was hoping to have a mob chasing Sue with me at the front on the outskirts of Ascalon...couldda been (I feel) right on. Ahh well, tempus fugit - and I didn't have enough of it.
Here's a clip of my test for what I was thinking of...using my ranger
Should this be the end of me I am deeply grateful to you guys for letting this noob be a part of an AWESOME competition and learning so much! I will be cheering all the way till the end! And of course I thank the judges for their tactful, insightful, and fair work...it is a thankless job since we won't know who you are but I do appreciate you!

I agree with you Kit, and I apologize that my schedule was a bit strange. My guess is that Eryn will get up for immunity, her pic was my favorite IMO

Yeah I'd 2nd that motion Sue. I think Eryns shot captured the theme well in addition to being a nice shot (I especially like the wide screen effect).
What happened to Noanoa?

As you all may have noticed, Lucille has no submission. I shall explain. I received a PM from her a few days ago, stating that she had to resign from the competition, due to the fact that her PC was no longer "uses able" per say. She apologizes to Sali Su, for not being able to participate, and wishes you all good luck. Thusly, this weeks elimination should be fairly simple, but theres more.
This weeks elimination was supposed to be the team that scored the lowest, would be eliminated. Now that we've lost Lucille, we cannot Eliminate a "team". So the next thought was to still eliminate two people, from different teams. We felt that wasn't fair, so we switched back to single elimination. So for those of you that scored low, this week is your lucky break.
And now for the scores.
Cold Lucille - 1 + 1 + 1 = 3 (Up for Elimination)
Queen Kitiara - 5 + 2 + 2 = 9(Up for Elimination)
Sue Aside - 2 + 3 + 5 = 10
Rosemary Marron - 5 + 4 + 3 = 12
Tasha Darke - 6 + 5 + 4 = 15
Sali Su - 4 + 6 + 6 = 16
Ashling Fey - 7 + 7 + 7 = 21(Up for Immunity)
Eryn Shadowbane - 8 + 8 + 8 = 24(Up for Immunity)
Current Immunity Holder:
Tasha - You have lost your immunity to the next person who has won it. (Pictured below)
Eliminatees:
Lucille: We are sad to see such a strong competitor go, but it's nothing that any of us could help. We enjoyed you, and your pictures very much, and we hope to see you in more competitions in the future!
Queen Kitiara: You've done "average" throughout this competition, only once have you almost got in the top two. We hope you can step up your game, and get out of the hole you fell in.
Eliminatee:
Immunity:
Ashling Fey and Eryn Shadowbane: We felt that this weeks assignment you nailed right on the head, along with your partner. You both scored top 2, and it was hard for us to choose who got the immunity, so I'll let the Magazine decide.
Assignment 6 to come within 24 hours.

Yup, computer problems are a pain, especially since you can't help it when it happens. :/ I'm sad to see Lucille go, and I hope she'll get her computer fixed soon.
Good luck to Eryn! Your shot was great! You definitely deserve that top spot this week. Can't wait to see the next assignment. ^^
Phew, glad that my shot was about average again. The shot was actually not exactly taken in town, we got a person with the quest to cross over to Kamadan with us and then just killed off the enemies around the cage. Also, I think that if Rose would take her prisoner anywhere to be held, it would be a big city... especially since it's such a notorious criminal anyway.
Oh, and the close crop is intentional. I wanted tension in the picture. In an actual movie, a scene that is close cropped and with a downward camera angle generally tends to create a crushing feel for whoever is "being looked down upon". So yah. Intentional (I gotta admit, perhaps I think too much about these things since I study visual design and I still remember our movie making course too well). :3
Oh, and I think that in order to get the timetable for the contest about right again, I wouldn't mind getting a shorter time to submit the screens. Moving the submission date back to Saturday would be fine with me.
Aaaaand now I gotta scoot off to school... >_> In a hurry, as usual.

OMG yes, I will miss u Noa!!! your pictures were the one to beat! I am so sorry for your computer- really I am. I know your unfortunate situation has allowed Kitiara to skeet by the seat of her thong! so I promise to work my butt off in your honor and in recognition of the judges gratiousness to be fair and encouraging of improvement to a newbie like me I humbly appreciate the chance.

I KNOW! I've not had net for 2 assignments now, and so I thought I was a sure gonna, but my friends have been great - i spose it's not as bad as ur computer breaking... Its just such a sucky way to go...
Anyway, on the assignment - WOW! Rose lol I used exactly the same cage for my captured shot, but then decided to go with my other one. Yours is better - so phew! -_-
Eryn's was definately top notch! I got the feeling that Eryn had chased Ashling into a corner, so Ashling had to turn and fight back, very confrontational and cool - wonder who would've won?
Yes, it sucked not getting to work with anyone from the competition, but thanks to Kitiara who offered hope that wasnt our only chance.... =/

I also gotta thank Tori / Ash for her wonderful cooperation, it's great to work with her and we got along really well. Paid off, I'd say
O no, Noa! You were such great competition, it's a real shame we lose you this way. I always tried to live up to your shots...

I agree that that particular shoot turned out by far the best shots, and all credit goes to you for it. Brilliant idea! Congrats
It's such a shame to see Lucille go - we know she's capable of such amazing stuff =[
Hope to see more from you all the same, and hope your computer troubles are resolved.

Lucille definitely has some of the most beautiful shots... very unfortunate.
However, this week, I'm betting every single girl will step it up and show that they can match or even surpass the usual stellar composition of Noanoa's pictures.
They better.

I sent you all the assignment in e-mail so you received it before Guru came back up, but here ti is for others to see!
Assignment #6 - Hollywood Glamor
We're closing into the halfway line, meaning one of you is closer to your way to Tyria Stardom. It could be anyone, and that gifted individual will be recognized as the funniest, scariest, most provocative actress in all of Tyria. You've showed your acting chops in partnering scenes, and your sizzling on screen chemistry with other actors (and actresses *cough*).
However, as budding actresses, not only do you have to showcase your acting abilities, but every now and then you will have to do what models do -- take part in photo shoots! From Uma Thurman to Meryl Streep, photographers around the world have tried to get their hands on these actresses to immortalize their contributions to drama!
But remember, actresses are not models! Models can bend this way and that, and pull of overwhelming dresses to make them seem "high fashion." You are actresses, and one thing you have is GLAMOR! Beauty is just another role you have to take, and since you are already flawless, it's time to showcase your photogenic talents!
This week, we will pay tribute to Hollywood Glamor, and you girls will have to take a shot where beauty and glamor is emphasized. Watch for poses, for you are not models, and make sure you look naturally beautiful. Scenery is also vital to the composition of this assignment, so make sure the background is beautiful! Most importantly, this shot is entirely focused on you as an actress, so make sure your personality shines through! Are you a temperamental actress? Showcase it!
Summary:
1 Beauty Shot:
- Natural looking poses (You are not models!)
- Background should be beautiful
- Showcase your personality
No Picture Editing
No Headgears
Take a look at some of previous Hollywood icons for inspiration! Greta Garbo, Marilyn Monroe, etc. And if you have any questions, feel free to email us, or ask Stalker! Bring it Girls!
This assignment is due Monday, October 8th, 11:59 PM GMT +5.

Congrats to Eryn, well deserved victory although I would have liked to choose between yours and Ashling's shots Really liked Sali's shot too - made me think City of Heroes when I saw her outfit. Seems I need to work on my shot cropping and composition a bit and the next assignment will really show that up.
Woah this next one is gonna be tough... I really envy the ritualists now - all that pretty armor to help them with their shots. I'm going to have to do a lot of planning to pull off Hollywood Glamour rather than page 3 Glamour with Tasha, not to mention locating scouting...

Tasha went on a shopping spree earlier and came back with one and a half new outfits to try on. I'm sure you'll get to see some of it in this week's shot. Still need to find a good location though

I'm really starting to envy all core class characters as they can choose armor from 4 campaigns >.< and paragon's so much look the same - but then I got immunity and that might leave me room for experimenting a little
