ohooo! good guy, bad guy thing's gonna be interesting - but difficult. we'll see^^ *mad brain plotting*

did stalker re-make each of our characters to get an underwear shot? cool I also love the remarks about each person, cher's wardrobe, hehe

Edit:

does the assignment want us to each produce a shot of the same scene, so that there's two kinda different aspects to one situation, or do we work towards one single shot that does us both credit? or is this, as I suspect from a lack of mentioning, left to us?

Lucille, yay! Don't think I've met you in game yet lol so this should finally change that ... it better :S

The due date should hopefully be pushed back, cos meeting up will be that extra bit harder. Sali was totally born to play a cop. I do have a question - hopefully anyone can answer - her special tech is: Succubus?

Wazzat?

Succubus: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Succubus :3 They're actually rather interesting things, although I think in this case the name was just meant as a woman who seduces men. Interestingly, Rose's special tech is also something to do with seduction.

Yay, this assignment seems very much fun! I enjoy watching cops and robbers movies every now and then, and it'll be fun to try to come up with an original twist to this. Also, I'll finally get to meet Tasha ingame. :3 Aaah, I can't wait to get shooting! (...no pun intended?)

Hey all. Yes due tot he fact that the assignment was posted late, you get more time.

The due date for this week is Sunday, September 30th, 11:59PM GMT +5. (The normal 5 days you are usually given.)

I'm ordering my new PC parts today hopefully, so I appreciate the patience.

And Lokii, thank you for posting up the assignment.

Eryn: Yes, you each take a shot that you feel fits your theme best (you obviously both have to come up with a theme to go by and let us know what it is when its turned in.) Hope that clears it up.

I need to get back to work before the boss gets mad. :P

Default Need some scene "extras" :) please help!!!

Hey guys!
Sue Aside and I need some help with our idea...we need anyone who can be available Central Standard Time 10-12pm tonight and/or tomorrow night or even Sat night that can make a pvp warrior character with the preset armor dyed blue. We are making some Ascalon Keystone Cops heh heh...and WE NEED YOU!

Hi Stalker!

Again, awesome job on the assignments and it looked really fun and cool! Nice graphics

I noticed on my "badge" it said
Dep: Tyria-Ascalon
Sp Tech: Cher's Wardrobe

and on Su's it said
"Wanted for having an affair with Prince Rurik"

Does these things have to be implicated in our shot? Like must the scenery be in Ascalon, do I need to have Cher's Wardrobe and do we possibly need Prince Rurik?

If so, I need to do some major rearranging (which is fine) but just want to make sure I do this assignment right

TY!
Kitiara

PS...I'm going to post this on the thread as well incase Bob can answer and you don't get this since your computer is being bad :P

Yeah, it scared me for a moment, too
It was because they were moving the forums, there seemed to be a temporary rollback or something - there was a message about it posted in Riverside

Agonised for ages over what picture to send in this week :S
Hope I made the right choice.

Well, here are the submission for assignment 5! Late, but here they are nonetheless!

Eryn Shadowbane

Judges Comments:

Judge 1: I really love this shot. The angle is just so superb that it brings out more of the assignment than I have seen yet. Just a simple twist of the camera, and you just hit the nail on the head. I can defiantly see that this is some kind of a stand off. And who is pursuing who. This is just excellent from top to bottom. And I can tell you both work so well together, because of how Ashling's shot almost mimics yours, but kept her own flare to it. Yours just out shines.

Judge 2: This is absolutely sensational. Really, this is flawless. The angle is SO perfect and really is Amergin-esque (new word!! brap), which is absolutely fine by me. The colours work well, and most importantly the teamwork showed in your shot. This is great.

Judge 3: I don't really see who is the "criminal" per say in this shot. Both sides could be the criminal. I had to go back to the assignment posters to see which one of you was the criminal. Yes, its a great shot, but i felt that it could have been made a little more obvious as to whom was the criminal, and who was the agent.

Ashling Fey

Judges Comments:

Judge 1: You two were just made to be the best of enemies. As I liked Eryn's I liked your as well. It sets the same mood, while running through the blue-tinted places of the Kurzick land, no doubt Ashling's favorite hiding places? I really like that you kept different from Eryn's shot, and the fact that you kept with a theme with yourselves the before and after. It's funny how something so simple can be the most effective, and thats what this photo is written all over with. The typical stand-off pose the second before the cat fight even begins. I love it!

Judge 2: You and Eryn are made for each other. Honestly, perfect pairing. Your light pale skin contrasts with her dark skin. Your tattooed armor against her white chivalrous armor. Perfect. As well, this plays on some symmetry with the statue in the middle, and makes this a very good piece. The tension is utterly pushed in our faces, and really you nailed this, just like your partner. You guys have some high expectations to live up to now!

Judge 3: Just as Eryn's shot, I don't see whom is the good girl, and which one of you is the bad girl. This shows a perfect example of "A fight about to happen", each waiting for the other to strike first. I'd have loved to see the scene after this shot was taken!

Sali Su

Judges Comments:

Judge 1: I really like the tribute to old cartoons in this shot. I love how you used your pose to make Sali about to pounce on you unsuspecting pray. Its so simple, yet so clever and greatly executed for this type of an assignment. Your character is the focus, I'm glad that you kept it that and great job on trying to bring yourself out from the dark background. It is sad about your unforunate event with your partner, but you made due with what you had.

Judge 2: Very nice concept. I really liked how this is like a movie shot just right before the ambush, and leaves us to imagine what will happen next. However, in terms of execution, I felt there are little things you can tweak. For example, the armor colour choices were a little weak, it just seemed really spontaneous. If you wore brown and looked like you were blending in with the wall to ambush Walli, that would have been awesome. As well, the cropping on the left is a little awkward and makes Walli's position stick out. Because of the angle of this shot, a little more space on the left would have made it seem more of a chase scene. I am glad you pulled off this assignment by yourself.

Judge 3: In one way I'm glad you still managed to do this assignment, in another, I'm disappointed. We're far enough in this competition, that contestants should know that taking shots in town is a big no no...why? The graphics then are HORRIBLE, and usually ruin what could be a good shot. The theme and story is good, and i see where you went with this, but as I said before, in towns hots can ruin detail.

Rosemary Marron

Judges Comments:

Judge 1: The aftermath of being caught green handed. Hopefully they feed well in the Lions Arch cage. Which once again, another in town shot, disappointing, but a good shot nonetheless. I like how Rose wore blue in both submissions, maybe that's supposed to represent the blue that officers usually wear (in cartoons and such), maybe it's just me thinking to much.

Judge 2: Great concept!! Loved the cage, what a great surprise! I love both of your poses in this, and truly, this makes a very nice cops and robber shot. Really there isn't that much to say about this. Except may be if you distanced this a little and cropped it a little bigger. Because the cage is sooo cluttery, and right now, its a little overwhelming. Just a small note.

Judge 3: Another caught photo , I guess this was the most desirable cops vs. robbers shot than an actual chase scene, hehe. Now I completely understand you partner's shot, and great job you two for making your shots conincide with the others. You guys thought outside of the box and really worked together. Although this makes for a good shot. I like that you thought outside of the box and actually put her in a cage, and almost looks like she is weeping. I didn't know Tasha would gone down that fast. I just think it would be a tons better if you zoomed out a tad, stepped back a few steps and brought out the camera a little. It almost looks like Rosemary is about to strangle her again.

Tasha Darke

Judges Comments:

Judge 1: Yay! A chase scene! Now I completely understand you partner's shot, and great job you two for making your shots coincide with the others. You guys thought outside of the box and really worked together. I really like this shot , not just because its the only chase scene that was submitted but you really worked with it, in the angles. The green auras around your hands is a little over-whelming,but I see that you were trying to go with what your badge had indicated. Are you in Rata Sum area too? I would of chosen a better background, but overall its pretty good.

Judge 2: Hahaha! At first glance, I thought you were grabbing a bag of gold along, until I noticed it was the aura. But honestly, Tasha has a lot of personality and this, and just the story you guys created is very original. Just a few notes. I think the environment is very fitting, but the cropping on the right is a little iffy. Right now you're dead pan in the center, but I felt if you cropped it a little from the right and put more space on the right, there would be more attention on you. If you were able to crop away some of your aura (your right arm) it would made the aura less overwhelming. Overall, good job.

Judge 3: "Caught Green Handed" made me laugh when I saw the picture attached to it. I immediately saw who was the criminal and which one of you was the hero. My only real problems are cropping could have been improved, the "green aura" is distracting, and Rose seems to me very small, even though shes in the back of the background.

Sue Aside

Judges Comments:

Judge 1: I like the angle, and the defeated look on your characters face and from her pose. Boy is she cornered. Although I would of loved how this chase scene would of gone down. I would be scared out of my mind if that many warriors were chasing after me. One thing though, I wish you would of zoomed out a little and cropped it a tad bit bigger. You brought everything around you so tight it almost looks a little to cluttered with so many people. I like that you and your partner had the same idea and you each had your different angles of this scene.Your scene defiantly had a better angle than your partners.

Judge 2: Love your attire. But everything else can be tweaked. Your pose is fine, it totally screams surrender. However, your partner is just so close behind you, a little distance would have made it less claustrophobic. As well, the cops are motionless, they should have been doing their own thing. May be something not so attention grabbing, but at least make them walk or point, or something... just to make them seem they had a use. Th background in this is better than your partners, but the cropping makes this seem very cluttered.

Judge 3: Unlike your partners shot, this one has "too much" officer in it. It is cluttered. Maybe if they where spaced out more, or possibly a different angle was used, then maybe it would work better. I love that you chose the mask to show that you are a criminal. Although headgear can mostly put you in a disadvantage, in this shot (and it Kitiaras') I believe it enhanced the cop vs criminal aspect of the assignment.

Queen Kitiara

Judges Comments:

Judge 1: I did keep track of the thread during this week and noticed that you and your partner had done some recruiting for fellow officers. I lved that you had this all planned and I was just waiting for what you and Sue had in store for us. But from what I had in mind, this picture is really...boring. From the looks of it, it looks like you have already caught the criminal, but the pose you used is little something to be desired. Also it didn't seem as if you allowed your fellow officers enough time, they hardly stand out from the background, and makes me wonder what they were actually used for. Could of asked for a different angle, like your partners.

Judge 2: I see the cops! However, I wish I could see more of them. I remember looking through the boards and thought, whoa, this is going to be awesome. And to be quite honest, I am a little let down. The pose you have does suggest you've already caught her, and it doesnt help that your partner is kneeling before you. I would have loved it if you and your cops were running and trying to catch her. Another small note is the background is really quite boring. With so many people in the background, your environment was too busy, and just made the whole picture overwhelming.

Judge 3: I would have to disagree with the other judges. This shot in my opinion is better then your partners. Although they are similar, this angle is much better for the poses that where used. Both characters can be seen from a better view, more "face on" image. Kitiara looking at the camera as if she's telling other criminals "you're next!". The background seems rather dull, could have had a better selection, although I do see where you two where going with this maybe, possibly the bad girls hideout? The other officers in the shot are also a distraction, they seem very small, and far back, and don't seem like they are in the pursuit as much as you where.

There you go, expect scores soon!
