Ah yes, I remember the girl Ninja Turtle. I actually have the movie with her in it. I like it but I think it could have been better if they'd still stuck to the original storyline. They butchered a classic! Should have taken my idea. haha

Well, here's my story to go along with my photo. I really had fun with this, hope you all enjoy it!

It was summer. She was playing happily in a field of wheat next to her home. “One…two…three…four…five! Ready or not, here I come!” she shouted as she sprang up from below the wheat and sprinted toward the village gates. “Tommy Francis, where are you!” she said, giggling. Looking stealthily around for her hide-and seek-partner, she heard rustling in a nearby haystack. “Tommy, I found yo-“she stopped in her tracks. Behind the haystack lay a small, orb-looking sphere. “Why hello,” she whispered to herself. “What’s this?” she bent down, gazing into the orb. Inside it, she saw bright colors, looking like they were reflecting off of a crystal. With one finger, she touched the sphere. Instantly, the earth below her shook violently. Meteors began showering from the sky, but in bright colors. The sea next to her home became crystal, and shone blindingly with the sun above it. Beams of purple, red, and orange light shot up from the cracks in the earth and colored dust swirled around the young Mesmer. She frantically tried to find a way to stop what she had began, but there was no way out. The sun became glass and shattered into millions of pieces, raining down onto her village. A shard hit her. She screamed.

She gasped as her mind brought her back to reality. “Make your decision, young one.” Said the voice once again. “Before I place my hand upon one of these candles, would you please explain to me the illusion you just imprinted into my brain?” she asked, looking around to where the mysterious voice might be coming from. “Certainly, Scarlet,” it replied. “Your touch raises the apocalypse. Whatever magical item that comes into contact with your hands determines the end of the world.” Scarlet gasped in disbelief. “You must touch this candle,” said the voice, “In order to reverse what will happen in the future.” She pondered her decision at first, but knew what she must do. She slipped off her gloves and eyed the flame. “Fine,” she stated. “It must be done.” With hesitance, she ran her fingers across the candle. Flames engulfed her. She screamed. She woke up, looked around the room. She touched a barely lit candle next to where she slept. Nothing. Just a dream.

Awww this shot looks so much cleaner .. better backround too ... also the heroes starring in astonishment really make it more alive. With this shot here you would have been my fav for sure this week cause to me you really portayed your sense the best and in such a cute way. ( I'm just talking from the screenshot perspective as i haven't seen the writing part)

Anyway you improved nicely imo

Okay so Starli didn't do the seventh assignment (gasp!) but I did find her application shot! lol

This image was taken in Minister Cho's Estate. As you recall, the application shot was to be in your favorite place in Guild Wars. This is my favorite place because Factions is the first campaign I played (not with Starli of course), and Minister Cho's Estate was my first mission. I also love the gorgeous Canthan scenery.

Here's my background story to my photo this week. I wanted to show the powerful, creepy side of Mesmers, so here it is:

She tripped and collapsed to the ground, yet when she looked back to see what she had tripped over, nothing was there but fog. “You can’t run, fool.” Said the Mesmer from a distance. “I’ll find you, and I will kill you.” The young healer sprang up and dashed away, but her attempts to flee were futile. She was stunned by what looked like a pinkish bolt of lightning, and once again flew to the ground. “Now then…I’m glad we’ve finally come to an agreement. You do understand what you’ve done, right?” the Mesmer said in an arrogant tone. The monk gave no reply. “Let’s try again. Tell me again what you have done to disrespect me.” No reply. “Fine. I’ll force it out of you, but believe me my dear, it will not be pleasant. With the lift of a finger Scarlet transformed the entire environment, starting with the ground and going up. The earth beneath the two became sand, the sky turned a pale yellow, and trees and all color diminished. The forest around them which had once been colorful and full of life turned into the dull surrounding of a desert, and the air became dry. “Please,” said the monk. “Don’t do this. I never meant to cause harm to your home…I just wanted the vase back that once belonged to my mother...” Her words were silenced by sand quickly covering her mouth. She scrambled to keep herself from sinking under it. “You see, my friend, what the power of illusion can do?!” shouted Scarlet as her whole surroundings morphed in front of her eyes. “You monks have none of this, none of it! If you want something, you work for it. We Mesmers, on the other hand, we get whatever we want, whenever we want. Tell me if Dwayna can do that! Ahahaha!” the monk managed to pull herself up out of the quicksand, calling for help. “There is nobody for miles, my dear! Nobody! Nobody to hear your cries for help! Your god has abandoned you, and you shall perish under my creation! The Mesmer put her hands on her hips and shook her head. “Sad to see you go like this, but it is what must be done.” The Monk let out her final cry, and was finally engulfed by the sand around her.

And great outtakes Nymph... Those photoshoots were great fun. Getting knocked flat on my ass over and over again has never been so enjoyable

Here's the story that went with my shot... For those who don't understand the hidden meanings of flowers, giving purple hyacinths to someone is a way of saying "I am sorry" or "Please forgive me."

This week, Deus has been roaming around Istan, looking for ancient relics to add to his collection of antiques; so far he hasn't given much thought to the assignment as a whole, but the assignment is about to come to him as an arrow whisks by his ear.

"Stop right there, Deus!"

Revealing herself from the undergrowth, Nymphalis Antiopa is the latest misguided mind to challenge the supremacy of the mesmeric arts; hoping to take Deus down and claim the 150k bounty currently on his head, along with eliminating him from the competition. Clearly, she did not attend Althea's class on Game Mechanics 101 ("Mesmers Are Better Than You") in Pre-Searing, and now she's going to learn this incredibly important lesson the hard way.

Facing an experienced Mesmer such as Deus is very intimidating even before the fight starts; his regal bearing and elegant silhouette give the impression that if you mess with him, you mess with some very powerful and influential members of society (Mesmers have more friends than you).

"I never imagined that to be frightening... Let's see how you fare when your fears come to confront you, Nymph!"

As the fight begins, the Ranger finds herself desperately battling against two opponents: Deus himself, and her worst nightmares as they are conjured before her eyes. Trying not to cower in terror as the phantasms invade her mind, she clumsily fumbles her bow like an inept rookie. Her arrows fly wide as her vision is clouded and her once clear view of Deus becomes distorted, and ends up doing more harm to herself than anything else as Deus looks on with a slightly bored expression, checks his Asuran-made pocket watch and polishes his sunglasses before stowing them safely away in his jacket pocket; Deus is yet to even break a sweat. She even feels pain when her arrows do manage to strike, as Deus projects his own pain and forces his opponent to empathise with what he feels.

Unable to face the fight for much longer and letting out a cry of frustration as her bottle of troll unguent shatters before she can apply it to her self-inflicted wounds, she tries to run but is immediately slowed to a halt by the great weight of an ethereal burden crashing down on her shoulders.

"Be honest my dear; are you even trying? Even my mini whiptail devourer hits harder than you!"

Deus had agreed to this duel for supremacy hoping for a challenge, but Nymphalis' pitiful attempts to inflict any degree of harm whatsoever have been a great disappointment; both to Deus and to the entire Ranger community who usually pride themselves on being the bane of spellcasters. She doesn't even want to show her face to the camera, having been humiliated, shamed, and driven to tears by Deus' grim resolve, relentless onslaught of debilitating hexes and his brutal invasion into her innermost personal fears and desires that she never wanted anybody else to know about. This man has raped her mind, but defiant to the end she struggles back into an attack pose, prepared to accept her end with what little dignity she has left.

Deus extends his cane; in the crumpled and anguished Ranger's eye it is transformed into a mighty and terrifying blade, glinting in the sunlight. One deft and graceful strike of the illusionary weapon runs her through in a coup de grâce (Mesmers are more gallant than you). With the once proud Nymphalis put out of her misery, the duel is concluded. Placing a single purple hyacinth in Nymphalis' lifeless hand, Deus dusts himself off and heads back to Kamadan.

"I must be cruel, if only to be kind; even that which is not real is still life-threatening if you perceive it to be. May Lyssa's grace bear you swiftly to the resurrection shrine; your darkest secrets are safe with me."
