Okay, before I forget, the assignment is due no later than Jan. 9, BUT I start school on Jan. 8. I'll be getting up at about 6am and won't be getting home until around 6pm. I should have a break from about 3-5 though so I should be able to check on this contest then (depending on the homework load and which computer I can access and what they have blocked).

But as you can see, my time will be pretty limited and schoolwork does have to come first. But I promise all of you that I will put forth all my time and effort that I can to this contest, as I really do enjoy running it. This week should be fine, but around the results and posting of assignment 4 might be when it gets a little tricky.

Because of time restrictions, schedules may not work as predictably (if that's even a word lol) as they have been. But...yeah. Just so you know. And good luck with the assignment! Can't wait to see what everyone comes up with this time!

That assignment is always a tough one, congrats to the immunity winner! While reading the judges comments, (being so grateful of the awesome judges I had in TNTS) I'd like to humbly point out a concern in consistancy, where last week I read comments of docking scoring for grammar mistakes, and then this week choosing to overlook it. I sincerely hope a judging guideline is put inplace well ahead of time for the next assignments on how things are docked so that good contestants aren't lost before they really should be let go. I know judging is a hard thing to do, I speak from experience on a national level, and would hate to see any drama come later on that could be avoided

Can't wait to see what creative stuff you guys do for this next assignment! Looking forward to it!!!

Okay everyone, Deus just asked me a good question in-game, so I'm going to answer it for everyone.

You won't be docked points for this assignment if you know nothing about your star. However, to make it easier for everyone, you now have an option to find a picture of your star and try to reenact it. For example, if I were to portray Avril Lavigne (like I was) on the red carpet, I'd wear some skater-like clothes in the Raisu Palace, as you can see. This isn't a requirement! It's an option if you feel you are having a hard time portraying your star or are worried about us not getting it or something. lol However, if you do use a picture and are reenacting it, please send the picture along with your submission.

I hope that makes more sense. That way it'll be easier for everyone.

EDIT: Also, it might help us judges if you include an explanation for your photo, like "I see Avril Lavigne as a punk rock skater girl so this is why she's wearing this particular outfit" or something like that. Just an idea.

Okay guys, the judges and I had a discussion and we came up with a little guide for you to help you out since there was a little confusion last week.

Here is what we're looking for in assignments:

Photo
-Character should be the most predominant thing in the photo; the first thing we should see when we view your picture - is you.
-Ensure that the background is not overly busy and distracting
-Have the lighting emphasize you without making your skin overly bright
-Crop the images so that you do not leave too much space to either side so that the eye wanders when viewing the photo.
-The photo alone should show enough of the assignment requirements that we should be able to see your point through just knowing the title of the assignment. ((For example, an assignment being about war showing a fighting stance would work, whereas someone just posing in Jade Quarry would not))
-Although we may personally not like a photo, we will still do our best to judge it artistically to the best of our ability.

Writing
-Make sure all required aspects of the assignment are clearly noted in your piece
-Proof read and spell check your work, or even ask a friend to read it over for you to make sure that it is easily understood. We WILL NOT deduct points for spelling/grammar as long as the point is made, but severe errors of the like may jumble up the entire writing piece and cause a portion of it to not make sense.
-Do not over or under write. If the assignment only requires an explanation explaining what is going on in the photo, a 2 page story is not necessary and one sentence may not be enough. You do not HAVE to write a novel explaining your photo, and doing so might actually be risky. Those who write lengthy assignments do not automatically receive a higher score because of their ability to write. We will be looking for the assignment specifics first and foremost.
-Make sure everything flows well together and be consistent with your writing. If you begin your writing piece with extreme detail, do not abruptly end the work without the same finesse that you started with. Doing so will make the work seem rushed at the end and hurt the overall impression we judges get from it.
-Although we may not personally like the writing, we will still do our best to judge it fairly.

Also, Deus, glasses will be fine. This goes for all contestants, but only use them if they fit the theme. Glasses are okay for any assignment, but again, don't go overboard with them.

Great clarification work Tender! I knew the judges would be on the ball about taking care of their contestants! <3 It is great to see that the contestants are not afraid to ask questions or comment on their concerns yet be patient and understand this is Tender's first time as a host. Way to go all! ~ I'm proud to be a part of the screenshot community ^.^

@ X Earth X ~ I rremember that when Tender first posted her contest she said her contest was a "compliation" of others...I recall that TNTS had a writing assignment and so did TMW~ I guess it happens that these two assignments have writing or just allow writing to enable a contestant to explain their photo... I assure you that she is not mimicking Brandon's awesome contest cuz she had told me she had her basic assignment list finished before she even posted the contest
