I don't think you are cursed, just a few tweaks and you would improve by leaps and bounds! Remember, you had to beat out people to even get to do the first assignment...I highly recommend u do the assignments and put ur shot in the feedback thread and let peeps make some suggestions

I think u know the basics but maybe try a checklist before deciding to submit a shot like...
1) did the shot meet the basic demand of the assignment
2) did my cropping make me the focus of the shot
3) did my background set the mood and enhance my "story"
4) did my armor choice & color fit the color scheme and help tell my story
5) did my emote relay the right message and did I get the right angle of it
6) is the lighting working for my character's face or am I hard to see...
7) when I look at this pic regardless of answering yes to 1-6 do I think it's awesome?

This was my kind of basic checklist and I know it's late...but maybe it can help some of the others

Ambriel, such a beauty, kinda reminded me of Eryn Shadowbayne. I totally see how its unfortunate your application picture was set in the snowy region, and then the first assignment (being xmas and wintersday) also required snow. :s

Assignment #2: Take Me Home

Welcome to week 2 of Guild Wars' Most Wanted! For our second week, after the holidays, what better place to go than home? That's what we want to see this time!

You are to go to your home continent (Tyria, Cantha, or Elona), the one your character came from, and find a place there that symbolizes home. It can be a house, with family, or even with pets. But it has to give that "homey" feeling. However, if you're from Tyria, you don't have to take a picture in Ascalon. As long as you stay within your continent, any region in it is fine.

In addition, please write a 100 word or more story explaining your home and the background of your location. The two should go together. For example, you shouldn't write a story about Istan if you're posing in Vabbi.

Juding will be a little different this week. First, the judges will read and rate your story. Then, they will see the picture and rate how well it went with the story. Those two scores will be added together for the final vote.

This assignment is due no later than Wednesday, Jan. 2. To send it, you can PM it to me here on Guru, or send it to one of the following emails (but just in case, it might be helpful to let me know you sent it there so I won't forget to check it).

No editing (other than cropping), modding, PhotoShop, etc.

Nope, no max. As long as you have at least 100 words, you're fine.

As long as it stays within the "home" feeling, your continent, and the two go together that will be fine.
