Loving the assignments so far! I enjoyed reading all the stories, I like how it gave a bit more personalities to the characters that we are cheering for.

It was funny how both Gracie and Nobu were jumping into the water, and then Ao and Scarlet were posed infront of windmills which they had incorporated into their stories hehe! >.< great minds think alike!

Render is so adorable, I really like her screenshots! Pity about the writing but I was also unaware there would be writing in this competition that would be judged equally with the pic >.>

The results are in! This was a tough one to judge. lol Okay, before I post the results, I want to explain how judging was done this week, as it was a little different.

First, the judges read the story and scored it. Then, they saw the picture and scored it based on how well it went with the story. These two scores were added together for that one judge's score. The total score is all 3 of ours combined. I hope that makes sense, it's hard to explain. If you want examples, let me know.

And now, without further ado, the results for assignment #2!

Scores:
Gracie Grumple: 13+13+17=43 (up for immunity)
Nymphalis Antiopa: 16+10+11=37 (up for immunity)
Scarlet Renoux: 16+10+10=36
Corrupt Rosary: 10+12+11=33
Deus Toutatis: 9+9+15=33
Ember Coals: 9+15+6=30
Ao Kanashimi: 9+10+9=28
Nobushige Sanada: 4+6+7=17 (up for elimination)
Render Me Useless: 4+5+3(+3)=16 (up for elmination)

Immunity:
Gracie Grumple: Big turn around from last week! Very creative and humorous story and the picture went with it very well. We're looking forward to seeing more of these kinds of shots!
Nymphalis Antiopa: Two weeks in a row up for immunity! We felt your story was very good despite its length and the picture went very well with it. And you did a great job of turning a gloomy place into a homey one. We can't wait to see more from you!

This was a tough choice, as you both did great. But only one can win each week, so here is the verdict.

Immunity

Elimination:
Nobushige Sanada: Your story was great and the picture went well with it, we just thought you could have done a little better, as we've seen what you can do in the past. And the lighting was kind of an issue too, so it kind of took away from the whole shot.
Render Me Useless: Last week's winner is now at the bottom of the barrel.

We know you can do better than this. The shot was okay on its own but the story was what counted the most here, and it felt rushed and somewhat vague. We expected more from you.

This was a tough choice this week, as we love you both and hate to see you go. But sadly, one of you has to.

Eliminatee

Expect assignment 3 to be posted sometime tomorrow!

Wow. These scores are really shocking to me, comparing them to what the judges said lol. Congratulations Nymph and I'm really truly sorry to see this person eliminated, I really think you deserved to stay

urgh, well i can honestly say i didn't see that coming?
to be perfectly honest i don't agree i should have been the one to go this week (not that i want to go naming names or pointing fingers or start a flaming session), the judges scores have been really varied last week ranging from a score of 7+9+3, then this week 4+6+7 o_- so needless to say i am a bit annoyed, but its just a SS comp i will live

But of course congrats to Nymphalis!

and good luck guys! i didn't get a great chance to get to know u but i wish u the best and thanks for the well wishes

maybe from now on i will stick to my male chars -_~

If it's any consolation, this week's choice was VERY difficult. I'm sad to see anyone go, but I knew that would happen when I started hosting this contest. Hate to see people leave.

Grats on the win Nymph, I thought you shot was the most interesting conceptually last week and was the best shot overall this week (I didn't read most of the stories because I've been too busy, which is kind of bad seeing I used to make the judges read heaps).

=( Tidus... but it doesn't matter because we all <3 anyway and that's better than winning.

But I think another reason you were out was because render had immunity from the last contest (I think). Good job with the assignments guys! Can't wait to see what you'll put out next.

Assignment #3: In Tune

A little earlier but I'm still awake, so I figured, what the heck? Here's the next assignment! lol

Okay contestants! Eight of the ten remain. Who will win? It's time for your third assignment! We've seen your holiday fun and your homes, now it's time to see how good you are at rocking out.

We've seen contests involving models and movie stars, but no music yet! So let's rock and roll!

We want to see you as a rock star! But not just any rock star, we've assigned them for you! Based on your character's looks, you get to portray one of the many well-known musicians. Let's boogy!

Judging will be based on how well you portrayed your rock star, such as attire, environment, singing, dancing, instrument, etc. Here are the assignments (and no, you don't have to act out the actual song or video that's listed, those were only for ideas and us having fun lol):

Gracie Grumple: With your blonde pigtails, we saw Fergie's video London Bridge
Render Me Useless: The cute pigtails and short skirt remind us of the early days of Britney Spears, like ...Baby One More Time
Ao Kanashimi: You look like a twin of Kelly Clarkson
Nymphalis Antiopa: As Jennifer Lopez, you'd Do It Well
Scarlet Renoux: Your red hair shows us the fiery Lindsay Lohan
Ember Coals: You not only have Cherry Lips, but your hair is red just like Garbage
Corrupt Rosary: Short blonde hair? Who else but Pink?
Deus Toutatis: Goatee and dark hair? We totally see Dave Navarro

Feel free to use Google or whatever you may need if you haven't heard of your person (I haven't heard of Dave Navarro to be honest, one of the other judges suggested him lol). If you'd prefer and it would be easier, you can find a picture of your person and try to reenact it (same clothes, background, etc.). This part is optional, you don't have to. However, if you do use a picture and are reenacting it, please send the picture along with your submission. Questions? Don't hesitate to ask!

This assignment is due no later than Wednesday, Jan. 9. To send it, you can PM it to me here on Guru, or send it to one of the following emails (but just in case, it might be helpful to let me know you sent it there so I won't forget to check it).
