Default Festival Disco Planning

Community events are a very popular thing to do nowdays, after the success of the ARFMB. So, I have decided to do my own-the Festival disco.

However, I am struggling with a few questions, so I need your help!

Where should I hold it? I was thinking of the Henge, bu its bare and old, everyone has an event there. I need somewhere with a stage

What activities should I do? (I have quite a few, but we could do with some more of your ideas!)

For more info on the Festival disco, see the following site:
http://wiki.guildwars.com/wiki/Festival_Disco

I also require some help with organising the event. If any people are willing to be my staff, that would be great.

If you have nightfall, try doing it in Kodash Bazaar. Factions you should try Shing Jea, lots of space there. for Prophecies... well to be honest the best place for proph is Henge so cant help you with proph. GWEN you should do it in Gunnar's Hold. Events: Mini pet racing. Best/Worse dressed. Simon Says. And maybe try quizzes. other than that your all set, i could provide help if you need it my in-game name is the same, Jkmj The Warlord

A must for every event: Blood, Sweat and Tears. Credit goes to The Bear Hunters

If you are interested, I'll explain the rules.

Warlord, you have had some amazing ideas. Thank you for all your help. I will definetely consider adding minipet racing (sounds awesomely fun!)
I was thinking of the Kodash Bazaar, and Shing Jea is a good idea too.
Artistan Archer, I'm not sure how you could do Blood, Sweat and Tears in an event, but it sounds fun. If you could explain how to play it in an outpost, I would put it in my event. Thank you for your ideas.
Blade Wind, I could use your help. Thank you for offering. I could use you as a judge for costume contests, or stuff like that.

Default The place to hold it

Hi all! Thank you for all your feedback.
I have done some research and have narrowed down my list of towns to 5 places, which are:

1-Henge of Denravi-Ok ok, its old, dusty, empty, but it as tonnes of room, a decent stage and perfect layout for my disco.
2-Kodash Bazaar-One of you lot posted a comment stating how you thought this would be the ideal place for this disco. It is good, I admit. It has the perfect place to have competitions, lots of room and its layout is absolutely perfect for my races
3-Lions Arch-Although there are lots of spammers there, this has got to be my number 1 choice of places to hold this disco. It has the room, the perfect layout for a race and a great stage. Also, to make it even better, it has a great atmosphere that will just inject happiness into people.
4-Kamadan-Another one of my choices that has to be full of spammers. However, it has a great stage, lots of room and a great layout. Perfect for my disco, if it didnt have spam bots.
5-Isle of Solitude-You probably think im crazy saying this. It has tonnes and tonnes of room, a great place that is almost as good as a stage and a great layout. The only problem is I can only fit arounf 95 guests into the hall. However, someone in my alliance has the same hall, so I could get around 190 people into this party, for a price of 100g.

There are my choices and reasons. I also have one more questions that can be answered by everyone out there-what theme should I have for my event? Should I have a theme at all? I think one could change the event for better.
I was also thinking of holding a lottery, but that would be hard unless it was on one forum.

2.) kodash sounds great theres 2 places there that is just immense, there hidden though

Well, another idea is to hold it in an empty district, like the Russian or several other European districts. I can't say I spend a lot of time there, but everytime I have been there it's been completely empty. Even in the major towns like Lions Arch. If you want to hold it in one of the capitals, I'd suggest doing that.

Other than that I can't suggest anything that hasn't already been said, so I wish you good luck and offer my services if you need any posters or other graphics work.

Bladewind, Thank you for your suggestions. I know the guild hall is a bad idea, due to the limited amount of people you can fit in one (which is actually 100, not 25). And yes, I am thinking strongly towards the Kodash Bazaar, but whenever I think of Lions Arch, I change my mind.
Operative 14, I was thinking of holding an event in International districts, but I will investigate your theory. It does sound good, as whenever British people are on GW, russin people aren't. Oh, and I might need an artwork title that I can post on the wiki and here, as you were kind enough to offer. Thank you.

I still haven't decided where to hold the event. I'm stuck between Lions Arch, Kodash Bazaar and Henge of Denravi-Kamadan is full of spammers and Guild Hall supplies limited people. Keep your suggestions coming in. I will soon provide a map of the town for reference for stuff. Of course, if you have a different town in mind, just tell me on here.

Hi all! I now have only two towns to decide between-Henge of Denravi and Lions Arch. Which one shall I go for? I need to know all your opinions before this weekend please.
Please note, I am accepting donations, so feel free to contact me here on the guru or in-game if you have stuff to donate.

Well, pretty much like the bear/beerhunters in pre-searing.

You make a circle of a random amount of people. The first person starts with saying 1.. second.. 2... third person says ...3... (clockwise) etc. Its easy, but you can make it harder by adding Blood Sweat and Tears.
For example like this 1...2...Blood...4...5...6...Sweat....Tears....9... .10....etc
Note: you have to keep Blood-Sweat-Tears in that order, saying 2...Blood...4..Tears is wrong.

If you're still going after this it has to go like this. 11....Blood Blood....Blood Sweat....Blood Tears....16... Note: it doesn't matter if you go Blood Blood...13...Blood Sweat or Blood Blood...Blood Sweat...

Both are correct.

After this you get Sweat Blood...Sweat Sweat...Sweat Tears etc etc etc

The point is to make the next person mess up. Everytime someone messes up, he has to drink 3 hunter's ales (or equal drunk levelness drinks, like 1 spiked eggnog/3 dwarven ales/whatever) and spend the next minute drunk.
Preferably with post process effects on

If you don't understand (I admit my words of choice could have been better, but then again I'm not a native english speaker), feel free to ask me

Artistan Archer, i'm sorry, but I can't understand this game. But I have an idea. If you can make it to the event, then I will include it into my list and I will let you run it.
I have decided what town to host in-Lions Arch. International Districts fill up at around 6, so i'm taking it to Korean Districts (just select asian districts), as they are usually empty.
