Wanted to echo Friday's sentiment - was a great time. I tagged along with Legion of Doom, and had a fun looking over their shoulders. The members of the team were a lot of fun to hang out with (even as a corpse), and I appreciated being able to listen their conversations courtesy of their Vent. Thanks to Shan for arranging things, the other members of DVDF who played Big Brother for their respective teams, and all the teams for bringing their A-game. May the fastest team enjoy the fruits of their labour.

Yeah, thanks DVDF for another fun in-game event
Don't know if we're going to win, but we had great fun preparing and participating. And even if we didn't win, getting our fastest time was really fun.
Oh, and beating other teams/guilds is always fun.

Thank you Res for being such an awesome referee, and for your patience while we were forming up.
And thanks to all the DVDF guys for arranging such a fun and large scale event.

Fitting with our guild's philosophy - it was more about the laughs and enjoyment we gained from this, anything else would be a bonus. We strapped together a few builds on Friday and tested Saturday afternoon. Had one AFK and me DCing , still had an awesome time and gratz to DVDF for organising this and to the other guilds for taking part.

I would like to echo this sentiment. It was a really fun and exciting event, even if some of us never want to see UW again (at least for a few months ). It even got me to try out a new profession!
I extend a very heartfelt "Thank you" to Res, our wonderful referee, and to DVDF for making this all happen.

Hi
All teams have now completed their runs and the times are in. Before we go onto the results I would like to thank all those who took part and all the referees who gave up their time to lie dead on the floor and look at timers.
Thank you!
The referees used 2-3 independent timers, An online stop watch which was started as soon as agro was taken and ended as soon as the ‘you are victorious’ message appears, their own PC clock time which was typed into the team chat at the start and end and also many used the chronometer on their watches etc. We used multiple timers so that if the ref crashed and rebooted then a time could be taken without the team needing to restart. So the most accurate was the online stopwatch method and all the times shown below were taken using that method. Referees were also selected at random, so as to make sure no team could influence a referee beforehand.
Many teams found the area challenging having to balance speed, killing power and resilience and the builds we saw, contrary to what we expected where very varied. Most teams ran a split at various points, using terra tanks or 600 smites to kill in the split. The most common tactic was to split at the vale and smites, then merge to go towards the chaos plains. The more adventurous teams would then split again. The most common method of team wipe was to allow a reaper to die at the Spawning pools, or for the ice king to be killed. Contrary to reputation most teams had little issues with the four horsemen.
Out of respect to the teams I won’t post individual builds as they may regard them as confidential but I’d ask that teams that did take part, do a small write up of their attempt and if possible include builds and tactics.
Anyway, onto the results
Alas as few teams had last minute drop outs, which left them unable to take part. These were
The Divine Knights
Acolytes of Anguish [aOa]
Prophecy
Deployed Assault [dA]
Zealots of Shiverpeak [ZoS]
fallen from grace
A few teams did not complete the UW in the three attempts there were given, these were
Ghosts of Faith
Ar vin
Eternity Lost
Legion of Sacred Light
The Goon Squad
The team with the fastest time is Agro. With an astonishing time of 40:39
This team executed the splits, tanking and skills required to near perfection. They also did huge amounts of preparation in order to do well and have earned the bragging rights for the fastest team to clear UW in this contest.
After the run, they and I realised they had had some small assistance in build preparation(though not on the actual run) from a DVDF member, who was not a referee but was still a member of the alliance. So that the result is above question and in the interest of fair play they have decided to give their prize to the second place team.
The build they ran was a modified splinter barrage, terra tank and fire ele with a single monk and they used a modified version of the split techniques found here http://www.guildwarsguru.com/forum/s...php?t=10277528
My thanks go to Agro for all the hard work they put in, as well as the execution of their plan created an exemplary time which will be very hard to beat.
The Second fastest (but get the first prize) team was New Dragons [NDR] with a time of 01:04:13
The third fastest team (but get second prize) was X Legion Of Doom X with 01:15:59
The fourth fastest team (but gets third prize) was Glob of Ectospasm [GoE] with 01:17:43
SNOW came fifth with 01:44:34
Blades Of Burning Shadows [GoDT] came sixth with 02:13:56
Pirates Of The Searing [YoHo] came seventh with 02:28:28
The Most innovative build went to The Goon Squad for running a successful build comprising of
2x Paragons (one with Infuse Health, the other with Scribes Insight)
3x Warriors
1x Healing Dervish (Faithful Intervention, Mystic Healing etc.)
1x Mesmer Obsidian Tank
The build worked really well. They managed to do the quests: "Clear the Chamber, Escort Souls, Unwanted Guests and Wrathful Spirits" before the Ice King died during Servants of Grenth. They said for some of them this was their first time in the Underworld. One thing that really impressed was that they did Escort Souls without teleporting to veil and killing all the Mindblades. They just killed them with the souls there. It was a really neat build.
Because of their outstanding sportsmanship and understanding Agro win the nicest team award.
The most Heroic team was nearly won by YoHo who promised one of our female referees a night she would never forget if she would stop the timer(she declined to do both – lol) , followed by chocolate but in the end it was won by Legion of Sacred Light, who in spite of their relative inexperience and the good humour (both to the ref and their own teammates) that prevailed throughout and how they handled their unfortunate failed attempts so late in their runs made their efforts all the more heroic and they are deserved winners of this category.
Prizes will be distributed Monday, winners will be PM’d in game to arrange collection
A reminder of the prizes.- 100 lockpicks per person equates to 125K, per person
- Second prize will be 25 picks+5e each second prize. Equates to about 55K per person
- Third Prize will be 3rd 40K cash per player
The 'for fun' prizes are:
- The team that demonstrates the most innovative build/tactics that manages to complete the UW will get 10K per player
- The team who demonstrates the most heroism(e.g successfully soloing 4 horsemen when all the team are dead etc) in the run will receive a purple Crystalline sword(Q13 15-22,dmg+14%(ench) and Ench lasts 17% longer) as a team prize plus 2 ecto per player
- we had a small amount of donations(about the same as for heroic) after the list was published, so they will be the nicest team prize
It just remains for me to thank everyone who took part, and I hope people enjoyed themselves as much as we did.
Shan

Seriously... asking people for advice wasnt prohibited... so what isnt fair play about that?
Noone owns a build... slightly copying a build doesnt make a good time... the players do... Tho i have much respect for organising this event.. The outcome of the prices is very dissapointing

It wasn't me honest btw does that mean we almost won because of our offers or for actual heroism?

I'd like to thanks DVDF for this fantastic event. My guild where very excited about it and worked very hard to compete, and have managed to take 2nd place.
So, grats to the New Dragons [NDR] team, and well done to all that entered. No matter where you came it was all about the fun. My guild certainly enjoyed!
