if they DID have sniper position the point of read the wind would be that you would be able to run around with it and keep it up for full duration unlike with sniper position som1 could take it of by dealing you damage. to give an example you might understand : its like in Shooter its the difference between a front line shooter with something like an AK47 (that would be read the wind) and the tactical sniper that sits on a building and blows peoples heads off (obliviously sniper position). does that make sense?

Well, for one thing the two stack (Read The Wind is a preparation and Sniper Position is a stance). But more importantly, you can actually move around and take damage without losing the effect. This stance is admittedly quite powerful, but it can be ended fairly easily by anyone with a ranged weapon since you can't dodge the projectiles, and the reason I made it a stance is so that it couldn't be stacked with Whirling Def/Lightning Reflexes/other-generic-attack-avoiding-stance. Furthermore, since you can't move without ending the effect things like obstructed lines of sight and targets out of range make this stance useless. Ie., you're trading dependable versatility for less reliable power.

Skill Type: Spell
Attribute: Healing Prayers
IGN: Ethree Krypt


Skill Description:
Expunge Hexes
15 Energy Cost, 2 second casting time, 20 second recharge
Spell. Remove one hex from each party member. If a hex is removed in this way, party member gains 4...107..132 health.

(GW needs a partywide hex remover, decent recharge time. Money.)

I decided to give it a generous health boost since It was created as an elite skill with a lengthy recharge as well. Maybe possible adaptation for a non-elite skill with a reduced health offering?

Good skill, and I don't think it's overpowered for pvp at all; long recharge, 2 sec cast time and 15 energy make it quite balanced. Maybe too balanced x)
You could also add a little healing bonus for every hex removed in this way...

Yea, I agree. Almost any monk skill that costs 15 energy and takes 2 seconds to cast is not overpowered in PvP.

How bout "Heals target allies for 5...41 health if hex is removed."

I would love a skill like this. Seriously, hex removal is a bitch....there's no great skill that gets rid of them. I think they all suck. Great skill.

This one isn't my entry, my previous one was, but I thought of another cool spell along the same lines.

Elementalist
Water Magic
Rising Tide [Elite]
15E, 2 second cast, 30 second recharge.

You invoke a Rising Tide at your location. All foes in the area take 50..75..100 frost damage and move 30..50..70% slower for 20 seconds, and all allies in the area move 5..10..20% faster for 10..15..25 seconds.


Basically a more utilitarian version of Fall Back.

Grenth's Hourglass
Hex Spell
Soul Reaping
Cost: 15E
Cast Time: 1 second
Recharge: 8 seconds

Target foe is hexed with Grenth's Hourglass. For 1...10...15 seconds Grenth's Hourglass does nothing. When Grenth's Hourglass ends target foe and all adjacent foes are diseased for 1...10...15 seconds and you gain 1...10..15 energy.

Thoughts: I tried to make this skill effective and playable in PvE and PvP but also interruptable and fairly easy to overcome(if your have good monks anyway). With Necro skills its hard to walk the line between brazenly, disgustingly broken and sickeningly useless.

Thought I'd give this a go.

"Beg for Mercy!" Elite Shout.
No Attribute / Warrior
Energy: 5 Recharge: 10

If target foe is below 50% health, that foe is knocked down.

I think this'd be a pretty cool skill. To preserve balance it should possibly be an adrenal skill/have a longer recharge, as I think it may be a bit too powerful for PvP. Anyway just me contributing

ps: From europe, IGN is Ja Tze if you wanna send any goodies my way xD

edit: on second thought it's not that unbalanced at all, maybe even too balanced. Feedback pls

All allies within earshot of your pet have 100% evade melee attacks and receive 1..2..3..4..5..6..7..8..9..10..11..12..13..14 health regeneration for 20 seconds. All foes within earshot of your pet are Interupted and Dazed for 20 seconds. Your pet cannot be resurected for 5 minutes.


"This is not good." you mumble under your breath as you survey the battlefield from the highest point you can find. Enimes are quickly boxing your team in. A glance at your healers bring no confort. They are under constant pressure. Barely able to stand, the warriors at the front are in desprate need of assistance and your arm is stinging from the barrage of arrows you rain down on the enemy. You feel your pet, a faithful stalker, hunting the sound of your arrows to find her target among the chaos.
A roar of unbeleivable pain fills your ears as the front line starts to fall...your friends are about to die. You reach inside yourself and meet a deep hole where your magic is supposed to be: you have used too much energy already just to keep them alive this long. You can't save them.....when you see your pet, your other fighting hand, you lock eyes and shout "Protect Them!"
Your stalker turns and impales herself on an enemy's sword...and as the last breath leaves her body you feel a rush of vitality and swiftness..for a moment you are a stalker! You glance around and everything is in slow motion. Your teammates are as aware and refreshed as you are..but you notice that your enemies are dazed and confused.
"I will avenge you!" and "charge" are the battle cries that follow. These slow dazed pitiful thing are no match for your team now. They fall.
Slowly your heartbeat returns to normal. You fell the burns and stings of the battle. And as you slide down the slope to caress your pet one last time you feel a single tear roll down your cheek. For you have unlocked the power now and none of your animal friends are safe. Because what is the life of one compared to the greater good?


I though what a better way to add a skill than with its creation.

Though it may be a bit much for PvP. I think that it would work great in PvE. With the pet restriction on resurrection it will cut down on spamming. Truly a "last resort" kind of measure.

I would love this for precasting in RA/TA. At least it's countered by Prot Spirit, which smart teams should have anyway

It is kinda imbalanced, but remember that the caster (the ranger) is going to have his skills disabled for 3 seconds due to his pet's deaht. Maybe you can increase that time or cause it to apply to everyone (or both)...But cool skill.
