Skill Name: Well of Hellish Flame [Elite]
Energy Cost: 15, -1e
Recharge: 60 seconds
Activation Time: 5 seconds

You become dazed for 10 seconds, and create a Well of Hellish Flame at your location. All party members within the Well suffer -1 energy degeneration, but are immune to any new conditions and are purged of all existing conditions. Any foes entering the Well are struck for 80...130...180 Fire Damage and set on fire for 2...5...10 seconds. For every foe struck by the Well, the caster loses 20...15...10 energy or the spell ends. This spell may be kept up as long as the caster desires, but the caster takes 10 damage for every second this spell was in effect.

I can't really make it concise, so I won't even try :P

I've always been a fan of stories about men who gave their lives, every last bit of strength they possessed, to save their comrades. I figure it'd be nice to have a skill like that.

Skill Name: Droning Strike
History: The enslaved prisoners of the Charr were forced to do repetitive, toiling work to build structures for the Titans they worshiped. In the course of years, the workers' forgot their trade and profession - all they knew was the repetitive Droning Strike used in unskilled labor. Ironically, they have mastered the use of Droning Strike and now teach it to travelers in the Eye of the North Campaign.


Profession: Warrior
Attribute: Strength
Energy Cost: 3 Mana
Recharge: No recharge time
Skill Description: <Melee Attack> Strike for +10 . . 27 damage. If you are in a stance, this attack misses. All skills are disabled for 2 . . 1/2 . . 3/4 second(s).

NOTE: Droning Strike misses with Enraging Charge or Charging Strike.

Droning Strike allows the user to apply more pressure with the expense of a stance slot.

Low energy req. and no recharge time allows endless spam/button-mashing.

Fun alternative in PvE. Try it with a Scythe.

In PvP, w/o an IAS stance or high damage like Executioner's Strike or Power Attack, DS isn't useful in spiking.

However, pressure-wise, this skill can kill in matter of seconds. Try combining with Warrior's Cunning.

The user is easily punished with easy counters - Reversal of Fortune, Diversion, Wastrel's Worry, Wail of Doom, and Spirit Shackles - and is a large target on the enemy's list.

In all, potentially lethal, fun and easy, but punishable by a totality of skills.

This contest inspired me to come up with another skill; I know it doesn't count, but I just want to show you and hear what your thoughts on it

Skill Name: Spiking Strike
Profession: Warrior
Attribute: Sword Mastery
Energy Cost: 3 Adrenaline


Skill Description: <Hex Spell...woah, Warriors now have hexes> Deal +10 damage to adjacent target. For 1 . . 2 . . 4 seconds, spells cast 75% faster on target foe.

Use this in conjunction with spikes. However, enemy monks target their heals 75% faster too.

Campaign: Factions (PvP, or PvE usable)
Profession: Assasin
Attribute: Deadly Arts
Type: Lead Attack

Energy cost: 5 energy, Activation: 1 second, Recharge: 8 seconds

If attack hits, it interupts target touched foe's action. If that action was successfully interupted, foe suffers from Dazed for 1...6 seconds.

EDIT: Sorry, added energy , recharge, etc!

Kerpall, nice skill, but in order to qualify, you need to edit it and add in energy cost (if applicable), recharge, adrenaline cost (if applicable) and activation time (if applicable)

After you do that, your entry will be valid. I cannot count it without that info. See my opening post for examples.

Elite Binding Ritual. For 5...12...15 seconds, whenever a foe dies in X radius, you and all party members attack and cast spells 10...15...20% faster for 1...4...5 seconds. These attack and spell casting bonuses stack. [Attribute: Communing]

I think thats balanced, but don't ask me . I still need to find a pic that matches it well. X radius is adjacent, nearby, stuff like that, I don't know what was appropriate. Also, are we limited to one entry per person?

Skill Description:

Implode
10 Energy, 2 second cast, 20 second recharge.
Hex Spell. For 6 seconds, the next time target foe casts a spell, that spell fails, target foe takes (40..110..130) damage and suffers from Cracked Armour for (3..12..15) seconds.

Concise:
Hex Spell. (6 seconds.) Target foe's next spell fails, they take (40..110..130) damage and suffer from Cracked Armour for (3..12..15) seconds.

Personal Notes:

Would be nice to have more Cracked Armour skills. Would be fun for damage in PvE and uses an mechanic already in-game with Shame and Guilt and Mistrust. High damage, but it's conditional (and Backfire does more as is, although this has CA and cancels spell but only the once) so I think it's ok. Didn't bother to make the image all that purple, but you get the idea hopefully

Skill Type: Enchantment

Skill Descripion
Energy: 10
Recharche: 20 secs
Activation: 2 secs
Enchantment: For 0..12..15 seconds you are enchanted with Feeding Frenzy, whenever creature dies nearby while under effects of this enchantment you are healed for 0..24..30 health.

Personal notes
I think this will be a welcome addition for necromancers to be more capable of self healing without the use of secondary attributes (somewhat in the line of some Rt spawning power spells). Added a bottom of 0 health gain and 0 seconds duration to avoid abuse by other primary professions (since this should be in my opinion a necromancer exclusive skill) and low ranking soul reaping. Also the recharge is higher then the duration to promote more tactical use of the skill (i.e. time it when you think you need it most)

Yes, he does have a good point. I've been thinking about it. If I increase the recharge it will balance PvE a bit more, but more it very underpowered as a PvP elite. So, my only options are:

1.) Keep it like it is. Dwarven Stability already makes several skills pure ownage.

2.) Increase the energy and recharge to make it a non-elite skill.

3.) Make it PvP only.



Which do you feel is the best option?

For 10-30 seconds you are enchanted with Master of Misery. While under the effects of this enchantment the duration of all the hexes you cast last 10-20% longer.
Any skill disrupted while under the effects of this enchantment will steal 1-5 energy from target foe. You are interrupted when this enchantment ends.

Hey so this is my entry so if anyone has any suggestions or comments please post . Hope you guys like it.




Very strong enchantment for a fast and deadly spike, but its well balanced with the 25 second recharge, the 15 energy cost and the fact that you take double damage and have -20 armor while under the enchantment. This skill is very useful for PvP mainly. It does not have much use in PvE except for maybe killing off strong bosses. But for PvP assassins this would be a very nice addition.

i like it an IAS for a sin makes it worth the while and sins have a good way of getting out of things i already want this skill where can i cap it:P

Ok my first post, hope its worth something.

ok here goes:
Enstinctive Flurry(Beast Mastery)
[Elite]
For 10...15...20 secconds your pet attacks 2 times faster and its attacks cause bleeding. When this ability ends your pet suffers from bleeding and -2 health regeneration for 8...5...2 seconds.

Enegry Cost: 15

For 10 seconds foes must respect your authority. Your melee attacks cause cripple for 5...7...10 seconds, do +7...18...27 damage and you are immune to critical hits. When this shout ends you suffer from weakness for 10 seconds.
