PvE Guild Only :: GvG Tournament Series 2008
Yesterday I was thinking to myself what was the most fun i had in guild wars. It was before i became a top PvP player. It was actually when a group of my best friends in game competed in GvG as a PvE guild. Even though we lost it was still alot of fun. I have decided to go back to my roots in this game by creating a PvE Guild GvG Tournament series. Every 2 weeks there will be a new tournament.
64 Guilds Will Compete It will cost 16,000g per guild. 2,000g Per Player American Guilds Only(We may eventually expand to world wide but not yet) All of the games will be played over a 2 night period besides the finals which will be played on a 3rd day so it can be monitored heavily. All games will be best of 3, swiss tournament style. No losers bracket. The Finals will be best of 5. The same eight players DO NOT have to play throughout the tournament. Cheating will not be tolerated. Every game will be monitored. There is currently myself plus, 12 staff members who will remain unnamed for obvious reasons. First Place will take home 512,000g. Second place will take home 204,800g. Third place will take home 102,400g. Of course all three places will have bragging rights. However if you place top eight then you will be granted an automatic spot in the next tournament (2 weeks later). The money that is not included in the prize money WILL NOT be kept by myself in any way, shape, or form. It will allow myself to pay some people in game to help me develop an active website for these tournaments with up to date stats and everything, this will allow for a much smoother running tournament. Also all the judges and referees will be creating a guild so that we can all be in contact with each other instantly. The next tournaments this amount will shrink greatly and the prize money will increase. To sign your guild up post in this thread with the following information.
