With the Beijing 2008 Olympics coming up soon, I thought it was time to create the Guild Wars ingame Olympics. However, some of the events, such as swimming, long jump etc cannot be done in Guild Wars, so I have had to create a new event. Here are the events:

*100m-A small sprint from Seitung Harbour to Shing Jea Monastery.
*200m-Another sprint, but from Olafstead to Verdant Cascades entrance.
*400m-This sprint is from Riven Earth (arbor bay entrance) to Rata Sum.
*800m-This is a run of the Elona Reach mission in the Crystal Desert
*1500m-A run from Venta Cemetery to Gate of the Desolation.
*Marathon-The Tyrian Marathon
*Long jump-This is the biggest heal with Word of Healing
*High jump-Longest lasting monk enchantment
*Triple Jump-Best res with Res chant
*Discus-Biggest damage dealt with Mystic Scythe
*Javelin-Biggest damage dealt with Wild Throw
*Shot Putt-Biggest damage with Fireball
*Swimming 1-Ruins of Morah mission run
*Swimming 2-Sunspears in Kryta Run
*Swimming 3-Grand Court of Selbekeh mission run
*Swimming 4-A Time for Heroes mission run
*Archery-Biggest damage dealt with Keen Arrow
*Pole Vault-Biggest energy stolen using Energy Tap
*Skeet (shooting)-Best Flesh Golem
*Hurdles-Sanctum Cay mission run
*Hammer Throw-Biggest damage dealt with Mighty Blow

Staff needed!

I require around 5 judges to help me with timing the runs. Runners would be better because of the runs, but being a runner is not required. I also require an event filmer to film the event (well, what else would he do?)

Ok guys, thanks for all your help volunteering. I think we have enough judges now, so now all we need is phtotgraphers and maybe teams. We still need teams, cause whats the point of having judges when there are no people to judge. Sorry about the high price, if you win you get some back! Im also working on some additional team prizes for the good effort. All judges will recieve this for free, as a thanks for the help.

1 problem... long jump is basically who can AFK the longest? There are a multitude of monk enchantments that are maintainable.

Right guys some answers to your questions:

*Mike Pew-We have enough judges, sorry.
*Luminarius-That make no sense. You talking about high jump? If so, that has nothing to do with AFKing
*Ghost cell-Did you read what i said on the wiki? The rules state that no one is allowed to use a sustainable monk enchanment. This means no Blessed aura, Mending, Balthazars aura, or any that cause energy degeneration to last forever. Only enchantments such as Healing Breeze and stuff like that count. Please note that you can use Blessed aura to aid the length of your enchantment.
*Bladewind-No one has signed up yet. Please note guys that if no more than 3 teams sign up then the event will be cancelled.
*Blunt Feather-All judge slots have been filled, but the photographer place is still open, so i hope you are happy with that.

Guys, the entry for teams is now 250g per team, and the price for each event is now 100g entry for each. Please sign up, we need as many teams as possible before 18th July.

undead living-Of course you can use cupcakes and other stuff such as armour of salvation. You can use tha sort of thing for any event except when stated otherwise, so i think that is every event.

I have decided to abolish the team system due to the fact that no one is coming due to it. It is now free registration. If you like the idea of an event, sign up for it on the wiki, or get me to do it for you!
