Default GW1 memories

Hi guys! This is about part of an event, so its in the right place.

Ok, im planning the biggest party ever to be hosted in GW. However, for my speech i will need some peoples thoughts on GW1 and what they are expecting GW2 to do. So, i need YOU to give me a short passage on what you liked about GW1 and what you excpect GW2 to do to our world.

Thanks

Default memories

here are some beautiful moments in pre nerf gw, when gw was fun, before titles hunting and so on:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lAIyyj592MU

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RJGsxiAqOTk

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-Lzs3jZzUg8

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U8MEw...eature=related

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pRUTGim300s (pwnage farming then)

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1pXPiI44So8

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JydA-xLviwY

and ofc the beautiful enviroments:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OUFoWvE7taA

every time i hear that music in the last video, it brings me back alot of memories from pre searing, and the first gw game, at the login screen, they should have that music instead of the gw:en music at the login screen imo.

maybe you can cook something up from these videos.

When you could get away with fast casting, healing magic, smiting magic, illusion, and domination on a lvl 20 bar in Hell's Precipice!

Seriously though, just pre in general. How amazing the Maguuma was the first time, how satasfying Sanctum Cay was (and still is for me). Pre... is ftw.

anyways - try to mention that GW1 was a very fun game untill the cookie cutter builds appeared.
oh and - GW2 = presear. Just slap a bunch of skills together and you have a working build (or so I heard )

I just finished watching these vids, and they are gonna help. Im getting a message of farming, GW before Arena net decided to nerf everything, Jeremy Strong's Music and the environments of GW. That is gonna help, thanks a lot.

Well yeah, thats fun, but theres only 1 kinda old vid in there... The best part of GW was before HM, before Heroes and before all those frggn easy farming builds.... The time before Templates, when the Attributes were still listed in the Hero Panel.... Those were good times!

Die-Yeah, when there where no dervs to run it. That must have been good. I wasnt there.
Rice-You mean when they made Spamadan? LA isnt uncrowded, just not full of massive spam waves that screw around with your connection.
There was a dye remover?
Yes, i havent been around when there where other arenas, but i would have liked to have seen them.
I like the NF entry screen too, probably because it was the first one i saw when i installed Proph

Nice thoughts guys!

I remember those days it was fun! No titles, no hardmode, no heros.

People laughed and talked they didn't say ping your build stupid.

We died, we rezzed we had a good time all the time.

I remember seeing those worms in pre. I was terrified lol. And when I first got to post - gulp

And finally finally the Shiverpeaks and no more brown landscape. lol

Getting the first firey dragon sword in the desert and that first fell blade in Sorrows.
It was such a great game at one time. I loved it alot.

no, like you were in the outpost, Lions Arch, Mini/World map Lions arch, but the outpost looked like Amnoon oaisis, you were on the wrong skin. opened .2% of Tyria.

yeh you could make the sexiest, most vibraint colors, particularly a really hot pink which brave wammo men liked to sport . kinda sorta like today's Gray Dye.

Hmm... Best GW1 moments for me...

- Healing *Real People* for the very first time and having them not die. It was the first Factions mission, back when Factions was new. Foreign Quarter. I had a tiny little party.

- Winning my first PvP Mesmer-skirmish--I'd never used a Mesmer before. Alliance Battle. I've loved Mesmers ever since.

- FINALLY figuring out what those "elite skill" things were! I was so confused for such a long time... (It was a Ele Fire skill, but I can't remember what it was! Gah!)

- Earning my first 20k in post-Searing Ascalon. ("Egad, I'm rich!" Rico cried.)

- Realizing there was such a thing as post-Searing Ascalon. (Now that was an amusing conversation.)

- Earning my first 100k by subjecting Mountain Trolls to 55 abuse. (Ah, those were the good ol' days.)

EDIT: Oh! Also, discovering GuildWiki. (Do you, Rico, take this Wiki, to read and to edit, in lag and in gigabit...)

I'll post back if I think of anything else. Good luck. ^_^
