Introduction

Alas, the time has come for another of my events, which means I have to organise another district of people who are all looking forward to a smashing Canthan New Year. So, I bring you an opportunity to turn up the heat this New year-a cookalong! Yes, that’s right, its time to get your ovens on to 180˚C and start chopping your onions, as I remake the Canthan New Year classics with 2 willing volunteers for each dish. With a bit of fun and games to add a bit of extra time, who can resist our menu of:

* Spicy Griffin Wings
* Special Celestial salad
* Kappa shell soup
* Spider legs served 2 different ways
* And to finish-Canthan Truffle Delight!!!

Activities

Hey, kids and older kids, im Chef Freebies. Hopefully me cookalong will “Turn up the heat” if you get what I mean. So, here is what you can look forward too:

*Quiz-Easy and hard questions, answer to win!
*Rock paper scissors-Good old party classic
*Food health-It’s a riddle game. Name the nutrient I am describing to win!
*Chef for a day-Can you create a costume that looks like a chefs? If you can, you can win!
*CONGA CONGA CONGA!
*And a small visit to the Shing Jea Boardwalk to finish. Pig chasing (launch the pig, then run to the landing pool), gambling, and a bit of a dragon nest competition.

Its time to get cooking! I will be teaching 10 people to make the full menu (2 people per course). Of course you can watch, and join in if you wish!

Ok guys, I have checked the date of its origin, the Chinese new year. This new year is on January 26th. Because this is a Monday, i imagine they will make the finale if the event on 25th, the Sunday. However, the date is still unconfirmed.

I highly doubt Anet will change the date. Halloween was on a Friday this year. Wasn't it on Thursday last year? And hasn't the Dragon Festival been during the week in the past as well? It seems Anet prefers the actual date, not the convenience.

Azazel-You could be right. But the Chinese new Year was on a Thursday lasy year. On the Thursday they announced that the event would take place on the weekend. Also, the 07 event was on the weekend (according to the wiki page) and the Dragon festival was at the weekend, according to the wiki. Guess we will just have to wait and see about the date.

Sounds fun. The date of the Canthan New Year has been confirmed to being from January 30th - 1st Febuary meaning the Celestial Ox's arrival will be on the 1st.
