Guilds today?
Well, last time i was just thinking how are most of guilds at this point, when game is supposedly "dying"? Are there still many active guilds with a lot of guild teams clearing areas all days? Just got few questions and would be gratefull if ppl could answer them, to get a "picture" about how are guilds doing nowaday
Number of ppl in guild:
number of ppl in guild logged in in past 23 hours and number of ppl logged in in last 7 days:
number of daily guild events(full guild teams doing same area):
number of weekly guild events(full guild teams clearing same area):
guild age:
guild based in (time zone):
hope to see some answers to get a picture how are most of guilds doing nowaday, also feel free to discuss it
ty,
~Horus

did i say i wanted this for you? no, i wanted info for myself and if it's so hard to take 30secs to post, then just dont. I could find a guild there, but i'm not looking for one and as my profile says i'm a leader of one atm.

I'm sorry if I may seem a bit harsh but this is a totally useless thread that will only lead to flaming and has absolutely no basis on anything for the following reasons:
1. Not even a quarter of the people playing gw use guru or post here.
2. As it has been discussed and proven there are still a lot of ppl playing this game and it is far from dying.
3. Not everyone prefers big/active guilds, some prefer smaller more familiar guilds in which they know people they play with better. I can include myself here I guess.
4. Look at point 2 = if there are still a lot of people playing of course there still are a lot of big guilds.
5. Starting a thread in which u state that the game is supposedly "dying" you only mark it for another endless debate on that.

sigh, i said "supposedly" because i dont think it is so... and seriously because i'm out of curiousiness asking ppl to post is it wrong? i had no intention to start a flaming thread neither i had intention to rant/flame/argue or anything at all, i simply asked those 5 questions i was curious about.
Tbh both answers so far i got encouraged flaming and trolling, if more such answers come this will really become a flaming thread, so stop those coming and keep it normal >_>

LOL,
# of people = 1
Guild Age= 1year
I have played since the game came out and got tired of the BS that went on in guilds so I made my own.
I pick up some people here and there but I am not organized so I don't plan or assign tasks.
Most of the time when i get on guild wars I do what I'm in the mood for so I don't really fit the team support structure.
I could RA, Vanquish, guardian, farm, trade spam, just whatever fits at the moment.

Number of ppl logged in the last 23 hours, all of them.
Guild events, none yet.
Guild age, a week.
Guild based in Estern Time.
I'm the leader of the guild too. My guild is just for a few friends none of us take the game too seriously, we're just playing to have fun, unlike many who act like this is their life (and sadly, most of the time that is true).

Ok fair enough, then if you really want to get a picture of how things are with guilds, spend 5-10 minutes in this sub-forums:
PVP: http://www.guildwarsguru.com/forum/f...play.php?f=265
PVE: http://www.guildwarsguru.com/forum/f...play.php?f=267
Conclusion: Guilds are as they have always been: in all shapes and sizes, active and not active, pvp and/or pve etc.
That's the best response I can give you. I did not mean to attack you earlier, but it is tiresome of how many people rant about the game "dying" without any basis.

I'm the only active monk in the guild atm, meaning most of the time we take an additional hero for heals. Most of the time it's 5-7 human players completed by 1-3 heroes.
That's not a full guild team, but it's almost impossible to play otherwise.
Anyway, till about two weeks ago we grouped daily in the evening.
guild age: This one is about 1 year old but is the direct successor of a guild established in 2005. Most members joined that guild in 2005-2007.
guild based in (time zone): Euro
To be honest, unless tightly organised guilds playing with small groups completed with heroes would be the most efficient nowadays. Except for stuff that can only be done by humans. That would be some forms of farming and PvP. When not organising you have to rely on numbers or a large alliance to complete guild teams. Most of guildies and me prefer to play with people we know and trust, not with mixing groups of 'random' guildies/allies.

I totally agree. The best PvE teams has 1-4 heroes because of their reflexes and coordination (minion targeting, following calls, doesn't disconnect or go afk etc). Obviously, for PvP, it's best to have all humans.
Horus, most people are very likely to exaggerate when posting here, just like people already exaggerate in the Recruitment threads, or about how much money/prestige he/she has. Sorry, but this topic won't get very far.

That's very true. I have done a poll myself in JQ AD1 around 9 PM. Out of 62 people I tabbed thru in the district, 2 responded. One asked what guru forum was and the other said he did.
We have a small guild of 20 registered members with some having multiple accounts. Most of us know easch other for years through online gaming. Essentially, we have 8 people who play regularly. We do JQ, HM Dungeon runs, find out new ways to speed clear hardest dungeons etc. Must add that these are not part of guild events but, mostly whatever we feel like doing at that point of time. That's exactly how I like it.
