Zamochits Artists Challenge... FULL TRADE WINDOW OF ECTO to the winner.
Okay this was a very difficult choice for me, as so many of the entrys were of such a high standard. My choices may cause some controversy but the following pieces really stood out for me
1st Prize of 1750 ectos - Charlie dayman - Paid in full - Congratulations
2nd Prize of 500 ectos - Ravensong - Paid in full - Congratulations
JOINT 3rd Prize of 250 ectos EACH - Minami Kaori - Paid in full - Congratulations
JOINT 3rd Prize of 250 ectos EACH - Zidane888 - Paid in full - Congratulations
However there were other peoples work which came so close to being in the top three that I felt that their efforts should not go without reward.
Terrak - Paid in full - Congratulations
Averden - Paid in full - Congratulations
Perynne - Paid in full - Congratulations
Each of these artists will recieve 100 ectos for their contributions. I wish I could give out more ecto to more of the entrants but unfortunately this pretty much cleans me out. I would ask that the winners PM me asap to arrange a suitable time for us to *Trade*
Congratulations to all who placed, and all whose contributions were recognised. To the rest of you, keep up the good work some of the art I have seen here has been truly breathtaking

Ok since i have no drawing skill whatsoever here is my entry for this fine price!!!
A POEM/Narrative.
Augury Rock - By Menlai Littiz
As I blow the primeval dust off my dry, seared lips a glint of the ether shone forth,
My eyes darted towards it like the denizens of Kaineng, to a purse.
The holy fire streamed through my veins with echoes of those gone before,
weapons meeting flesh, screams of men as they met their end.
I scrambled off the sand that had held the memories of failures past,
I thought, I would be the one to ascend atlast!
When I marched forth, with courage and might, my soul ripped forth tearing down the mighty rock, as the dust settled piling over the remains of thousands before, I felt the hand of the divine on my shoulder.
Each step, I took a breath, as the light was stolen away, until all was pitch black.
As if the breath of a dragon whirred past, braziers shone in the room to reveal the image of oneself but twisted and tormented.
The imposter looked up, his eyes met mine, his grin turned to a scream and he lunged forth axe in hand.
His axe bounced off as i shouted "dwayna shield me!", yet the creature kept forth and forth, no hex, no affliction kept him at bay... until at last one mighty firestorm broke from the sky, wreaking havoc on all who lay underneath it. As Balthazar's fury let up all that was left was a charred wreck that i knew.... was once me.

Ultras I like you image, it's nice, but before the deadline I would try to change this, it might help your score:

I first want to thank Zamochit for holding this contest. It's great to have an excuse to flex some creative muscle and try something new. Thank you!
This is probably my favorite mission in the entire game. Not only is it quick, but has such an epic flair about it that you really feel special for taking part in it. It's one of the few moments in the game where it seems like it's as epic as it's supposed to be. It's not just queuing up a party and spending 45 minutes killing one group after another, it's just.. different. Of all the missions to create a piece of art work around, this is the absolutely perfect choice I think. And it also brought back great memories of when I was first playing the game and first facing the doppleganger with my Ele; hence why I choose to portray an Elementalist facing him down.
I look forward to seeing all the other submissions (I'm sure they'll top mine easily. :P )

I like how you really played around with with foreground/background and lighting effect. It does add to that feeling of "epic-ness" that you were going for.
I'm now debating on whether I want to do this piece on my Warrior again. I'm considering using my Ele as the subject because I don't like any of the pre-ascension Warrior armors. I actually had a similar idea to what you were going for: similar use of picture depth; have a backshot of the Doppleganger looking up as the ele is high in the air casting down.
Seems like a nice change rather than duplicating that Baroque theme I had going on in the other contest.

Since you can't be on Guild Wars all the time, if we want to post a submission and you're not online, do we just PM you later, or post it later?

I think what he means is to send a private message on this forum when you post so he can have a confirmed time stamp of when you uploaded your work.

Phew finally finished it, used a manga-ish approach to it:
I want to point out that I know she's wearing ascended armour, and I did ask if I could use ascended armour which I got the OK for because I don't like any of the pre-ascended armour for warrior.
And yeah, I gave the doppleganger a different set of armour and different weapon to try to make her look more leet.
