Default HELP! Serenity Temple new High End & Monk Item trading post OPENING 03/19/10

Hello Everybody!! I just thought I would drop a note in the forums letting you all know about our guilds, (The Obscure Monks [MonK]) next community venture. Any participation at all would be aprreciated! Here is a clip from our website http://thesmitepit.spruz.com filling you in on some of the details! Thanks. ~Temp

As some of you may know, [MonK] has been spending recent days talking about some crazy plan involving Serenity Temple. Well let me fill you all in. The plan for Serenity Temple is to take the least explored outpost in GW and turn it into a trading hotspot. After thinking about different angles/ approaches, it has been decided that we (MonK), will focus on making it at the very least, the one place where you can allways go if you want to equip your monk. We have been hoarding leet/reg monk tomes, runes, 55 weps,Cesta's, 600 weps, a few rare greens,etc,etc.. I know it will be hard to control what ppl sell there, but it will be at least a great monk supply outpost. "Why do this?" you ask? Because it sounds fun, and it would be cool to see if what kind of inpact we have on the Temple. "Why Serenity Temple?" Because its a very dead area, hard to get to, and obscure. You know if alot of ppl end up there its because of the trading, so its easy to gauge growth. (I've hung out there for over a week. You never see more than 1or 2 ppl at at time.) Also We are a guild of monks, all most all of us are from Tyria, and being "Temple Guardians" just seems natural. Did I mention Mhenlo was born there? (according to wiki). That, and its cool when there's Favor of the Gods and the fountains turn on. Also I am hunting down some text mods from past parties there that will downloadable from the site, for all those who might be spending some of their free time there. Ill keep you posted. Soo what can YOU do to help? PARTICIPATE. I figure when we get enough people willing to help, we can post a handfull of traders at the outpost. Then have a couple promoters out in the big towns directing all the ppl looking for monk items (or even high end items) to go to Serenity Temple. I will have a runner in place to ferry people who need it, (at least on opening weekend) If we get enough ppl and spread the word, hopefully the community will keep it going. I think we should "open" the trading-post 3 weekends in a row. If it doesnt catch on, then idk. All I do know is we need all the help we can get! Everything from afking and partying to powertrading in the temple will be a huge help. (also save all you monk drops) So far we have a few people on board but are in need of many more. So if you are interested, or have any questions/ comments, let us know ingame or drop a note in the forums or shoutbox! Opening weekend STARTS 3/19/10!

head North out of Fort Ranik .... Prophecies
It is a small outpost, no quest or mission takes ya there
So it is usually very quiet

I stand corrected. Let me rephrase that to "Least Visited Temple"

P.S for those of you who cant make it. Keep in mind that there will be another "Event" next weekend as well (3 in total) and we will be attempting to direct "trade flow" thru the temple on the weekdays as well. If it doesnt catch on after the 3rd weekend we will be done with it.
