Default A New GWGuru KISS Type Alliance Looking for Partners

Everyone knows about the mega alliance [KISS]. It is an amazing place to be for both experienced and newer players. GuildWars Guru seems to be such a thriving place that I think it would be a great idea to start a KISS-like setup with GWGuru members. The setup would be as follows.

The Knowledgeable [GURU] - Lead Guild [F For Fragside]
The Understandable [GURU] - [Position Avaliable]
The Respected [GURU] - [Position Avaliable]
The Litigable [GURU] - [Position Avaliable]
The Auspicious [GURU] - [Position Avaliable]
The Celestial [GURU] - [Position Avaliable]
The Wise [GURU] - [Position Avaliable]
The Empathetic [GURU] - [Position Avaliable]
The Sympathetic [GURU] - [Position Avaliable]
The Loving [GURU] - [Position Avaliable]

We can always change the guild names to suit. Please let me know if you would like to be involved and which guild you would like to own. Owner must be have enough funds to buy cape, hall and allegiance. Please note, all capes must be exactly the same. Please see The Knowledgeable [GURU]'s cape for colors and symbols. You can also contact me via email: [email protected]

Sounds like using GWG to supplement your guild you couldn't fill.

I know from experience that using such strong ideas such as these always goes wrong. I know this is usually because I handle the stolen idea badly, but I know this probably won't work out. And i'm sure the KISS alliance probably won't appreciate this.

I think no one really cares about KISS tbh. 1000+ members and probably only 100 are active

Mate, would I call my guild The Knowledgeable [GURU] if it was MY guild? I just made it okay? Stop thinking everyone is out there for themselves.

This is not a case of going against KISS. BTW that idea is not original at all. This is just another way (that should have been thought of since this site started) to unite the GWG members together and put the GWG presence out there into the gaming community, IN THE GAME.

Guild wars guru doesn't really need a presence in the game-lots of people sign up every day, and we already have a strong member base. Its not a very hard site to find whilst playing-people already talk about it all the time, which triggers the addition of other players joining. Also, if you look at the admin team, most of them have their own seperate guilds/alliances that they are loyal to, or are members/officers in guilds they are loyal too, so would not be willing to join the guild's you propose. Many of us other website users are also loyal to other guilds and alliances, such as even possibly KISS. I am still inconvinced with this idea. I know it has been adopted by plenty of alliances, and KISS might not have started this idea, but we don't need it to raise awareness of the site, because word of mouth does that already.

i resent that...were highly active.
i wont speak on my own behalf but why are u referring to KISS when trying to get recruits? its saying were better than u...which i dont think is tolerated in gwguru to recruit:/.

also considering your recruiting wrong thread\

KISS has a very bad member base and everybody knows it, but I"m afraid this topic is not about KISS. Its about some GURU alliance someone wants to put up which will most likely fail right off the bat. What I would recommend if Fragside really wanted a huge alliance to start off small, perhaps start with one GURU guild and when that fills up, start with another. Yes, it takes patience and hard work but it also takes a whole lot of dedication.

I was in KISS for a while. They have a very neat Vent set up that is very active and chatty. The guild is a bit casual, but I've found most of its players to be decent people. They might be amazing with skill or knowledge of the game, but they suit the need for people who want such a guild.

Not looking for a GWGuru guild myself, but maybe try [Rare] or [XIII] as they have quite a few members from here.

I lost interest at 'KISS type setup'.

Not a fan of overpopulated guilds/alliances myself, though I'm sure other people like the company.

I don't think I've met someone from KISS so far who displays any level of knowledge/skill. Whether that be not knowing enough or from what I experienced in my 10 minutes of being in that guild. Gl indeed on a project like this. People dont fall into the huge guilds anymore.

They wouldn't have any problems filling that one up.

For the people that are actually offering good support or a valid opinion thank you. I guess this idea is dead. Thread can be closed. PM me if you still feel like this is a good idea and im sure it can work with some perseverance.

A strong friends list is far more useful than a huge guild/alliance. Though that being said I am quite enjoying bloody terrible pugs lately. Lets face it, most people can roll through stuff nowadays even with shockingly bad builds.
